More about the restaurant: Cakeaway
Cakeaway means the very best desserts and milkshakes in Didsbury and we can’t get enough. The menu here is seriously sweet and offers everything from slushies and sundaes to fondue and cookie burgers (that’s ice cream sandwiched between two cookies). You’ll find Cakeaway on Fog Lane in Didsbury as you head out more towards Burnage, and given how close it is to Burnage train station Cakeaway is one place people flock to from all over Manchester. If you’ve got a sweet tooth or need a sugar rush then we really don’t know of any place better in the area. Reserve yourself a table and get involved with Cakeaway as soon as you can.

Thinking about making a Cakeaway booking?
Cakeaway is a pretty sweet deal by all accounts and some favourites among its local Didsbury crowd include the half-baked cookie dough, the cornflake tart and a whole catalogue of superstar milkshakes. The Trillion Dollar Shake is one we’d advise not to miss, and The Millionaire Shake isn’t bad either. Also worth a try at this gem on Didsbury’s Fog Lane are the scones with clotted cream and the white Kinder Bueno cheesecake, but in truth we could sit here all day and list everything we and indeed the rest of Manchester love about the Cakeaway menu.
Sweet treats aside, Cakeaway Didsbury offers hot and savoury food as well, mainly in the shape of some damn good homemade burgers. Nachos and wraps are also available and make for an extremely fresh fill before you move onto the sweet stuff. All of this, as well as warm service and exceptional value, make Cakeaway Didsbury a big hit for plenty of casual occasions, especially ones with the kids. Best accessed via Burnage train station, there aren’t many places in Manchester where you’ll find more sugar than Cakeaway. Go treat yourself.
