Canal Boat Cruises

Overall experience was excellent. I would highly recommend the cruise to others. Staff were really friendly and the meal was lovely. The whole experience was very relaxing.

Lovely afternoon, canal boat cruise was relaxing with lovely countryside views, food was home cooked and delicious, staff were attentive. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

We had a fantastic afternoon on Good Friday gently cruising down the Leeds Liverpool Canal. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service from the 2 Ladies was just as good too. Great afternoon and we would definitely recommend it to everyone. See you again soon. Dean & Julie

My wife and I took my Father-in-law and his friend on a lunchtime trip on the "Romance". Could not fault it. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and barge was well presented. Access to the barge could be quite difficult for disabled, however we managed, even though both our guests were ninety-ish.

Myself and my husband had the festive afternoon tea with the 2 hour canal cruise yesterday, and I have to say it was a fabulous experience. First impressions, the staff were very welcoming and as we boarded the boat was beautifully decked out with Christmas decorations and a ceiling full of lights. The boat is spacious, comfortable and absolutely spotlessly clean. There is an equally spotless toilet facility on board too. With a background of Christmas songs playing, we were served delicious hot soup, a great selection of sandwiches, cakes, fancies and mince pies. All of the food was beautifully presented, very fresh and tasty. There was an unlimited supply of freshly brewed tea, coffee and wonderfully aromatic mulled wine. The staff moved through the boat quietly and yet very efficiently ensuring food and drinks were served in a timely manner, and cleared the tables of used crockery quickly. There was also a fabulously stocked bar should you want to buy alternative drinks. The views along this canal were stunning, made even more spectacular and Christmassy by the sudden overnight snowfall! It was literally picture postcard and added to the whole experience. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this cruise for families, couples, groups. There were also people with mobility difficulties on board and they were well assisted and catered for too. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon!

Excellent afternoon out with Sunday lunch. Good food, friendly and efficient services, what's not to like? Highly recommended and will be having a return visit.

Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. We went as a group of 5 for my fiance's birthday. All staff were polite and helpful, food was tasty with a good portion size. Will definitely be going again!

We booked this on recommendation of a friend and for two of the party it was surprise. We all had a great night with lovely food and fantastic service. We all would definitely go again.

My wife booked lunch on the canal cruise having seen the canal boat on previous walks along the canal bank. We had a thourghly enjoyable three hour cruise enjoying the soothing effect of travel on the water at a slow leisurely pace. Lunch was well prepared and good choices , wine and bar drinks and non alcoholic choices available at reasonable prices. Washroom facilities modern and very clean. Our waitress, was attentive and engaging. The whole event was very professional and delivered by people who run / own the business and there for feedback , and want it to be enjoyable as there success depends on it. Would throughly recommend.

Excellent. Food very nice. Lovely scenery attentive staff. Will be coming back. Only negative,bar prices quite high. Weather bit gloomy but it doesn't seem to matter as like I say the views are nice rain or shine.
