We were a party of 6 for a birthday, all the staff were lovely and the food was perfect. Would definitely go back and would recommend

Great restaurant, great food, cannot fault. So much better being an independent restaurant, the food is more varied and you feel it’s more special than the normal Italian chain restaurants that are everywhere

Very pleasant atmosphere, nice and busy. Service was quick and friendly, only the usual delay when trying to make eye contact to get the bill! Offered prosecco on arrival, thought it was complementary, but it isn't! Food very good.

Lovely building , very good service and most importantly very good pasta at this great Italian restaurant . Would go again and good for pre cinema .

Nice atmosphere and good food with a great front of house team. Adequate menu with something for everyone. A reasonable wine list available to suit all pockets.

This was the fifth time we have had a meal at Carmela's and yet again it was excellent. The choice of menu was perfect for the price and represents good value, service was quick, correct and very polite and the meal itself excellent. We had recommended friends to join us for the meal and they were also impressed. Thanks and we will definitely be dining there again in the near future.

A superb meal and excellent service, 3 great courses and really lovely decor in the restaurant. I had the mozzarella and grilled veg for starters, followed by calzone, with profiteroles for dessert. All courses were very, very nice.

The welcome was warm and friendly. The food is fabulous and the staff attentive. We have been several times and i am sure we will visit again.

A lovely meal in a really nice ambiance, friendly and confident staff who offered advice on choices if needed. Not out to celebrate but we were made to feel special. Great.

Great food with attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere - we will be back for sure. The wine list was good and dishes are not all the usual standard fare - shows a real touch of true 'Italy' versus the high-street generics.

Lovely setting with tables outside for sunny day. Pleasant and friendly staff, had a very nice red wine and good food. Would give it 6.5 out if 10

Good selection of food to cater for us all. My pasta was a little undercooked but everything else was very tasty. Service charge was added to bill which I always find a bit irritating. Overall we enjoyed a pleasant meal with good service.

I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and every time it is a wonderful experience. The food is always superb and all the staff are friendly, helpful and polite. I would recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Horsham.

Service slow, unresponsive. Felt we lacked engagement with and attention of staff. Limited choice of puddings (other than ice cream or chocolate, not everyone wants this). Why not offer a flask of water, if tap water is poor quality? Proprietor more interested in his own family (who are important of course) than in customers - except very attractive ones! :) Thank you.

Food was fine, service wasn't. Lots of good sounding food on the menu and they did have good beer. Would I go back again, probably not.

Sat outside in the evening sunshine. We both enjoyed our meals & a nice bottle of wine. Staff all seemed very friendly. Wasn’t our first visit. Won’t be our last.

I have been to Carmela's several times and I am always impressed by it. The food is very good and the waitresses efficient and friendly. We sat outside to start with but when it got chilly, a table was quickly found for us inside. I would recommend it to anyone.

A return visit to this super family run Italian in Horsham. The food was excellent and the service was good too. My dining companion came down from London especially to eat there !

Not up to their usual high standard. Pizza lacked content and flavour. Both toilets in a state of renovation, one out of use. Over £100 for the two of us for an average meal.

Poor service. Food disgusting after waiting an hour. Sent food back. So disappointed as our wedding anniversary and wished we had gone elsewhere. This is actually the first time we had gone back to the restaurant in two years due to poor service and food previously and it’s got worse. We thought we would give it another chance. Big mistake. Won’t be coming back. Far better Italian restaurants in Horsham. New manager has got a lot to do.

The quality of the food was mixed - my pasta was superb but my partner's swordfish was a bit tough and dry. The service was slow - it was a long wait before even ordering drinks. The restuarant was very busy but they should have expected it in the glorious weather as customers wanted to sit outside.

Good service, polite and helpful staff. Food was excellent with really good choices on the menu especially vegetarian options. Have been to Carmelas several times in the past and will definitely go again

The food was amazing, we went for fathers day. The service was really quick and the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend Carmella to anyone thinking of going.
