The server continually topped up wine glasses without asking. Consequently , some of the party had wine poured into their glasses that was unwanted; others who wanted more found the bottle had been emptied

We had to wait for quite a long time for our meal, but the food was lovely and fresh, and they cooked a meal that wasn't on the menu to accommodate my friend

We had a table for 3 right next to a large hen party of 15+ people, which meant the atmosphere was quite loud and raucous, before the party arrived it had been very quiet (almost too quiet with no music or anything).. we would have preferred a table downstairs in the main part of the restaurant. The food was okay, the pizzas looked great and I regretted getting a pasta once I saw them.

Serving staff were brilliant. Steak overdone so sent back (don’t normally bother as it often means eating alone after everyone else has finished). Replacement took ages and was inedible. Shane. Always had a good meal there in the past.

An excellent meal, not hurried along, it was a Wednesday lunch time so not sure if that would make a difference. I will be taking my family along in the near future.

The food was ok when it arrived, however tomatoes were not fresh, and there was a long delay before anything arrived! We had to ask twice where the starter was- which was a sharing platter of bread and olives! The main course was good - but it made the evening run late for a week night!

Good quality food, nice atmosphere. Good choice of food beyond the essential pizzas and pasta dishes. Recommended for an Italian experience rather than that provided by the (perfectly good) Italian chain restaurants.

Brilliant service brilliant food. Wife's birthday bought out our sweet with candles on it and sang Happy Birthday to her. Definitely best Italian restaurant in Horsham

What an amazing place, from the location to the way the resturant was designed. But it comes down to the staff, what lovely warm and funny people. Clearly a family run place but the feeling and warmth they have towards you, you clearly are part of that family for the duration of your stay there. The food quality was outstanding. Everyone in our group were so empresses by the amount of food and the way it was presented and tasted. I’m not a massive fish lover when it comes to food and it was suggested to me that I should try the board special and WOW, what a stunning dish. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Everything was just how I wanted my afternoon to go. Well done a keep up the good work. Amazing. X

A really lovely family run Italian restaurant. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. I will certainly be going back there again.

Great family run business. Pizzas are the best in town. Nice italian feel/atmosphere in this restaurant based in one of the oldest Buildings in Horsham

The restaurant is very attractive, particularly the terrace. The food is good value and the service is friendly. The staff look exotic and make the Sicilian experience very enjoyable.

we have been here a few times and it's never a let down, food was lovely as always, try any sea food dish outstanding , even tonight with a limited menu due to oven problems did not affect the night. Service is first class will be back again.

Excellent food wine & service....although I think adding a gratuity charge for service automatically to the bill .. though it was excellent... a bit cheeky !!...especially as we were a small party (2) We would go again!!

The food was very good indeed however because we had to wait longer for one meal ( we were informed of this) when the 4 meals arrived together, the remaining 3 were lukewarm. One of our party ordered calf liver and it arrived without any accompaniment, because he was not offered any at the time of ordering. He was offered sweet potato fries when his meal arrived but, by the time they were ready, he had finished the rest of the meal!

Great food, good service, slow for lunch time but staff were pleasant and affable. Interior is very nice with good decorations and a nice atmosphere.

Pleasant ambiance, efficient and helpful staff, extensive menu. Fresh pasta tasty, escalope not overdone. Vanilla ice cream rich(£4.90) as was lemon sorbet. £20 a head for 2 courses (no alcohol). Would return and recommend

Second time to this restaurant and was even better this time round. I highly recommend the rabbit ragu, very tasty. Nice atmosphere and very friendly service, my favourite Italian restaurant to date.

Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back again. We had the calzone and tagliatelle which were both delicious and large portions.

Really nice food and ambience. Restaurant clean and staff welcoming. The Sicilian cuisine was tempting and different from the usual high street Italian restaurants. Awe will return. Lovely to have Carmela locally.

Food and service as expected. In the past have had slow service but seems to have improved. Only problem staff are a bit pushy although attentive

Lovely evening at Carmelas with great service, delicious food and fabulous company. Excellent value for money for a three course meal and bottle of wine, would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Lovely food, upper end of reasonable cost but certainly good value. Quite a hurried experience given the restaurant was not very busy. I would go again to try something else, their menu looked very impressive.

We absolutely love this place! Another big family birthday to celebrate, and they really help us do this in style. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The menu choices are excellent and delicious. There are vegetarians and gluten-fee diets amongst us and all discretely dealt within the menu - fabulous! Will be back very soon.

Excellent food and service! The food is fresh and hand made but we didn't have a long wait between courses like in some chain restaurants we have been to recently! Definitely recommend Carmelas to anyone.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Food good with generous portions, huge pizzas, my grandson was a little disappointed in his but everyone else's choice was excellent (especially the seafood risotto).

Had an enjoyable meal at Carmela's, great fresh pasta and good service. There was a mix up with one main dish, which was quickly corrected and we had to wait a long time to pay the bill, we were in no hurry so not an issue. Overall an enjoyable experience

Lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere, the waitress was incredibly helpful and knowledgable on the wine list and the menu. Would highly recommend this restaurant for relaxed family evenings

Lovely food and friendly staff, would definitely go back. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed what we had, which is often a challenge!

I had a lovely meal at Carmela, greeted with a friendly smile and looked after by attentive and happy staff throughout the evening. The freshly made pizzas are delicious!!! Can't wait for my next visit.

We had a lovely Sunday Evening meal. Friendly and welcoming and the food really tasty. Would recommend the rabbit bruschetta and the rigatoni. Will be back soon.

We always have a great meal at Carmella. The staff are delightful, the atmosphere fun and the food delicious. Homecooked Sicilian food not standard chain food.

Lovely food, good service and a really pleasant atmosphere. Ate inside as it was evening, but the outside looked very inviting. Look forward to perhaps sitting outside for lunch!

Excellent service and food. Range of food and drinks menu also excellent , we had a table for 6 people upstairs which was great as we were away from any noise from others and the kitchen, so it was nice and cosy.

Lovely meal, friendly and speedy service. We love going to Carmela's - never had a bad meal there. Always a different specials choice too. Highly recommend.

A warm welcome and a table outside on the pretty terrace. We were warned that it does get chilly on the terrace in the evening as no patio heaters or blankets provided, so bring a jumper. The food was beautifully fresh, with a wonderful balance of flavours. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely dine here again.

What can I say about Carmela's? We were seated immediately and offered drinks. We received nice wine, beautiful food and great service as always 😊

We went there for a birthday meal. We had freindly service, the menu was imaginative and the food was wonderful. We had a lovel time and it was great value.
