CHALIDA Thai Tapas & Hotpot is a bustling restaurant in Piccadilly that celebrates the excitement, diversity and mouth-watering flavours of Thai street food. This London hotspot pays homage to the Thai-Chinese cuisine of Yaowarat Road in Bangkok, the original birthplace of Thailand’s famous food stalls. Authentic family recipes have been passed down through the generations and can now be savoured right on Wardour Street, a short stroll from Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. The restaurant space is divided into two rooms – one for Thai tapas, and one for hot pot. The tapas menu offers all the Southeast Asian favourites you can think of, from bao buns and signature curries to tamarind duck and pad see-ew noodles. As for the hot pots, they’re simply delicious with top-quality fresh fillings and broths like tom yum or herbal black chicken available. Bookings at CHALIDA Thai Tapas & Hotpot are essential!
Seating was efficent as had a reservation, but service was increadibly slow. Had to ask for the table to be cleared, which was done in stages, take a few plates then come back a few mins later for another batch. Then had to ask for the desert menu, which again took a while to receive, but food was quick to arrive, just the finishing the service off part was slow
Food was great, service was okay but the staff were so friendly and they made extra effort for the anniversary dinner, and gave free drinks! Thanks to the staff at Chalida
