The food is nice and portions are big. Small venue but overall good service.

We have been to Chelo three times now and had great food and service each time. Genuine tasty Iranian food and a nice outside seating area in a quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Maida Vale! The restaurant is small in terms of number of table covers, but think this feels quite intimate for a London restaurant and means that your wait times and service are much better than normal. The food was excellent - really beautiful looking and even better tasting. Overall was great value for money (around £40pp for starters, mains and a bottle of wine) and I will definitely be back!

It was a good experience overall. I would recommend this restaurant.

They have no toilet. Also, we were sat by the door and it opened often, due to delivery (which they can’t take out the back) and we were constantly hit by cold blasts. In addition, when we booked, there was nothing about how long we could have the table for. When we arrived, we were told 90 mins. This should have been communicated to us in advance and furthermore, 2 hours is standard, not 90 mins. Finally, service wasn’t great in this regard, but they still charged it. Service charge for what service?!

waiters told us we only had 90 minutes at the table but in fact the service was quite patchy and slow. we had to get their attention to ask for water, to order, to bring the bill....they are very busy with take out deliveries constantly and this means they have less time to pay attention to the customers. Food pretty good - but only one vegetarian option.
