About Chit Chaat Chai

Chit Chaat Chai in London’s Wandsworth is a relatively new addition to the local Indian food scene. It may be based on Old York Road but you’ll feel as if you stepped into an Indian street market when arriving at this restaurant. The dining space is exploding with colour and fun, but wait until you see the food that looks and tastes nothing short of beautiful. Chit Chaat Chai specialises in Indian street food (known as chaat in South Asia) that’s packed with all the flavour you could want from comfort food. If you’re going to Chit Chaat Chai with some friends, why not sample some of their unique Indian-spiced cocktails and mocktails as well? Bookings are essential, particularly at weekends.

Love the food and customer service! Especially recommend the okra fries and prawn curry. Must try a cocktail with your dinner. I liked the pineapple gin.

Loved the pao bhaji but rest of the items were pretty average. Not the typical desi taste. Ambience was average too. Not worth the hype to be honest.
