Lovely, friendly service, beautiful, deliciously fresh tapas - will definite be going back. Highly recommended
Great food and service - not rushed at all - and a good atmosphere. We had a mixture of main courses and tapas dishes which were all excellent.
The food was good and so was the service. The restaurant is a relaxed, pleasant place in an interesting part of town and its prices are reasonable.
Fantastic food very good service thank you for the great paella
Always like Cigala...but I should have stayed with the tapas... the paella was too filling and a little too salty and I would have preferred coming away feeling hungry (slightly) rather than worn out and unable to move. But that said I still enjoyed it and, as ever the staff were pleasant and welcoming. Nice glass of sherry too.
It's a bit hard to find but overall very nice Spanish restaurant with good food
Another excellent meal - some interesting new tapas dishes (pigeon and rabbit empanada) on the menu too. Great service as well.
I love this place and have dined here often. This last occasion did not disappoint. Tasty and authentic food, great sherries and wines from Spain, excellent service and a good atmosphere combine to make this a go to. Good value for money in my view. I will be back again and again.
Excellent food, attentive staff, lovely ambience and pleasant surroundings. Lived up to expectation.
Good food, very busy, service could have been more attentive. Small plates seem to work better than regular dishes but 3 course special was high value. 4
This was our third visit and the most disapointing. number and size of prawns in one dish. Mussels tasted strange and wife had to spit one out. Left most of them after that. Service was ok
Nice atmosphere, we went early so easy to chat..it does get quite noisy later in the evening. Food good tho not if your after fine dinning.. nice mid week supper!
An excellent menu, original, authentic and well cooked. The lunch deal was exceptional value and delicious. Good service and an excellent, and well priced, wine list made for a memorable lunch. Highly recommended.
Cigala as always great food and service at reasonable prices.
Good and enjoyable as always. Food pleasant as were waiting staff. Not outstanding cooking but very acceptable. Atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. Overall, a good place to be.
Splendid place - I've been going there for years and they've never put a foot wrong. Friendly service, excellent food. I cannot recommend it too highly.
Excellent as always, only better - new expanded menu. Can't wait to come again. Looks like people have cottoned on, very busy evening. I'd prefer it to stay a hidden gem that few know about, but I do accept that the restaurateur has to earn money :)
Empty at 7pm when we first arrived but slowly filled up - good ambience. Lovely wine, fantastic squid - just sliced straight through, unbelievable bread to start and phenomenal chocolate tart to finish.
It's a comfortable Spanish dinner with one of my most important friends. Foods are nice, friendly atmosphere. I will come back again.
Great friendly attentive service on a very busy Friday evening, which takes some doing. G re Great food and distinctive wine list - nice to have several new choices of wine
The food was excellent and the service quick and efficient, which we needed for a speedy lunch. Two guests eat off the set menu which was great value while I mixed and matched. All in all a nice meal with good service in great location.
The service was amazing, friendly and warm. The starters were also good but the seafood paella was a bit disappointing (as a Spanish person I have high standards, so I cannot expect the same quality I know). However the weekend menu deal is great! Deserts are amazing, tried Almond cake and Walnut cake and they were both super yummy! Would recommend it and would like to try A la carte dished next time!
The food was great. The service was good and generally everything was good. I hadn't been for a while but was pleased to meet an important client there and I was not disappointed.
Brilliant evening which consisted of fresh ingredients expertly prepared in a bustling, but not overly loud setting. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive which helped with the enjoyment of our evening.
Expensive for quality provided. Baccala fritters mainly potato. Salumi very ordinary. Indifferent off hand service. Probably caused by understaffing. This is Medlar/Glasshouse pricing but with very ordinary cooking and ingredients. Never again.
Excellent food and very efficient and warm service. The staff/management were also patient given that I booked the table for 7.30 and my guests didn't arrive until 8.45
What a outstanding place can't believe I hadn't been here before. Outstanding food and service which you could not fault thank you for such a lovely evening
Fabulous food and service. This was my first visit to Cigala and I will definitely return. We ordered 10 dishes between 3 of us and this was just perfect.
Very busy, very noisy, not great service as it was so busy. Food was generally very good. Would go back later in the evening when it slows down
Clean, good location, good food, busy for a Monday night. Why do I have to give a minimum of 25 words? I am usually put off reviewing when asked to be less than succinct.
Delicious tapas and friendly and helpful service. The seafood was particularly good but we enjoyed it all. Would definitely go back. Very highly recommended indeed.
The food was delicious, as always. What impressed me this time was the service. The gentleman who served us gave us impeccable advice and more generally could not have been more gracious. I am going to take my forthcoming conference to Cigala after my recent dinner there.
I always find Cigala very reliable. Not flashy, in a very nice street, and delicious food served at a very fair price. I have been coming here for years.
Delicious tapas and wine and excellent service, I would recommend this restaurant highly for anyone who likes Spanish food. The calamares was particularly delicious - eat them as soon as they arrive.
Really delicious food, and lovely service. We were a party of four, and everyone was very happy with the evening. We will definitely go again
An excellent restaurant serving Spanish dishes with plenty of choice. The staff we friendly and efficient. We will go again next we are in the Holborn area of London.
Excellent food --great range to choose from-- go with the tapas selection rather than the mains. Good service as well. Only slight query was with the wines which were not cheap
