The waitress was far to busy to be running all the tables on her own - I felt sorry for her
As always, very good food from the tapas menu, will be back again
Pleasant restaurant experience. Starters and mains were good but need to improve desserts.
Tapas with extra flair. Albondigas were perfect - meatballs served just right. Fluffy inside. Excellent service.
Excellent food and excellent service, as always. I recommend the baked crab tapas!
The food was delicious and the service was good. But it is very expensive and not particularly good value.
Met friends for a catch up, we had the set dinner menu which was delicious and amazing value along with a fine bottle of Tondonia. We all loved it.
Very good food and nice relaxed ambiance, and understated decor. In a great central London hideaway location. I’m vegetarian and there are lots of suitable tasty tapas options. will return.
Excellent food, excellent wine, great atmosphere, great service as always. I have never been disappointed by my visits to Cigala and I've been going there for about 7 or 8 years!
Great! I mean, I'm not a tappas expert, but great! Paella a bit salty, but I'm sure that's what it's like in Spain. Bonga! Oh. 25 words minimum. Bonga again!
Fab food. Great ambience. Well worth a visit. Authentic Spanish food-paella to die for. Arrange a visit absolutely great! No need to use 25 words-says it all!
Good, friendly service and great food. What's not to like? Well maybe the disappearance of their bacalao fritters with aioli. Hope they'll be back soon.
The restaurant is situated on a pleasant street, which is visible through the building's front and side glass walls. I had a tasty soup as a starter, followed by two tapas as a main. The salt beef with gherkins and the fried squid tapas were very good in themselves, but probably best to share a larger selection, if in a larger group, or stick to set meals if not sharing, to get more of a mixed plate. The glass of Rioja I had was a good accompaniment to the tapas. Though fairly quiet on the Wednesday lunchtime, there was still some atmosphere and the staff were very nice. I had been to Cigala twice before this visit and plan to eat there again in future.
This time, food from the set dinner (confit mallard starters halibut main) , pudding (creme brulee), wine, service, and atmosphere we excellent. Even though it was Monday.
Superb food. Great service! Well laid out restaurant with a fabulous selection of tapas. Favourites were the Albondigas and Almecas! Not a full mark. Wine exceptionally expensive even for a restaurant.
First time visit. The food was incredible, expertly cooked and tasted divine. Relaxed atmosphere at lunchtime with a set menu option at £23 for 2 courses. Would definitely visit again.
Long time patron of this outstanding neighbourhood restaurant. The quality of the food is matched by the service. Lamb's Conduit Street is blessed with some fine eateries but Cigala leads the way.
We were very wel looked after and the food was excellent. Best sea bass I’ve had in a long while! A very relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
The food was good but not exceptional and unfortunately it is very overpriced. It was also extremely quiet and they didn’t even put any music on to make the atmosphere better.
Very nice place, the staff were pleasant and attentive without being fussy. All the food was excellent and the timing of delivery also excellent, very good selection of wines. Really enjoyable evening and would definitely go again.
Great food and service... a wonderful place for a relaxed meal. The wine list is excellent and the cocktails are a splendid way to start. I have been many times and I will continue to dine here for as long as I can!
Very good tapas: Jamon, bacalao and a super grab cake. Paella is good but should be better cooked: the crusty crispy bottom was completely missing.
Very nice tapas. Not the most amazing I have ever had but it was good value given the prices are reasonable. Nice restaurant and nice service.
Great food great wine great service great location. This restaurant has been here for ages and is still really popular with city types and locals. It’s good value too.
Lovely food and wine, and very nice atmosphere. Service was a little slow at times but then again it was very nice not to be rushed.
Excellent all round, food and service and atmosphere. Food is like eating in Spain in the best restaurants over there. I should know I spent a lot of time in Spain
Poor service, poor food, very poor value. Looks grubby & cheap. Probably explains why there was plenty of space on a Friday evening - when every other local restaurant was full.
Lovely restaurant, friendly, great food. However, a small thing, felt that the service could have been a little more attentive, checking our wine glasses were filled etc
Too noisy. Rather slow service. Expensive..... and our bill had someone else’s bottle of wine added to it. Rather cursory apology when mistake pointed out to waitress.
Even 1 is a bit high as Cigala canceled our booking with no explanation, and with little notice so we are not impressed and although we have previously eaten a few good meals there we won't be going again
We all, five of us really enjoyed our lunch at Cigala last Friday. The food was lovely with an unusual menu and the staff really friendly and helpful
This restaurant is a hidden gem Lovely food and great staff. The home-made bread was particularly lovely and a variety at lunchtime is good. Will definitely visit again
Loved it - service was attentive and pleasant, The food was well prepared (partridge perhaps a little over for my taste, but didn't suffer unduly). Venison starter excellent. Overall an excellent experience.
Really good wines and food that was clearly freshly made and full of well balanced flavour. menu had plenty to choose from and good range of fish and shellfish. Service was good
An excellent menu and very good service. The pigeon and quail were the high spots. The only negative was the price points on the wine which seem out if line.
Very pleasant restaurant, good service, no blaring music... food, however, was disappointing. The spinach dish was over-cooked, the pigeon dish was vinegary to the point of being difficult to eat... the scrambled egg with chorizo and peppers was fine, but just not terribly interesting. For whatever reason, there isn’t a single truly good restaurant on Lamb’s Conduit, or anywhere else within easy walk to Brunswick Square.
Service attentive without being intrusive. Food and drink excellent. Very nice busy atmosphere but not such that it was difficult to hold a conversation without shouting. Cigala remains for me a favourite place to dine.
A delightful place to enjoy very good quality tapas in a simple, understated setting. Favourite dishes were the salt cod fritters and the orange and polenta cake.
Fabulous food, every single dish from the extensive menu was excellent. Service is brisk and efficient and this could be the perfect dinner experience. Except for the noise. Lovely to be amongst people enjoying their evenings out but a lack of soft surfaces, the big plate glass windows and low ceilings and the many crowded tables make it almost intolerable noise-wise. So go for the food for sure but don’t go if you want a good chat with your fellow guests.
The food was superb and the wine was delicious from an excellent and reasonably priced selection. However the service was incredibly slow and the staff were not keeping up.
