Not been for a while, but as ever, a delight. Food all fresh and authentic. Great to be there Sunday lunchtime as it was quiet, and a good place to meet friends for a chat that you can hear. We need to go again very soon. Had forgotten just how good this restaurent is.

Food was ok - but priced very high. Sponge dessert at £8.00 was particularly expensive. None of the food set the world alight. queso e iberico was a small portion. In fact all portions were small for the price. I wont be returning

The food and wine were delicious and the service lovely. I love the simple decor and large windows. And that there is no music. My favourite place to eat at the moment.

Tasty, classic, stylish. White tablecloths, no frills, real food. This is my go to place for something a little smarter but relaxed, and worth every penny.

Previous visits to this restaurant have been enjoyable. However I took a friend for lunch and had a disappointing experience. We had the set price lunch menu. Food was very average and my friend found the hare dish inedible and exchanged it for something else. Needs to improve.

Tasty food, good value but restaurant not very atmospheric. Good for informal group meals but less exciting for a date night. Good tapas selection and good wine list too!

I was meeting my cousin for the first time in months - the restaurant was packed but the hosts made me very welcome and the food and wine was delicious.

A lovely traditional restaurant that sits comfortably within the trendy shops of Lambs Conduit Street. Service excellent, small plates just delectable, wine list is very thorough with something for all tastes.

Efficient friendly staff and great food Menu choices authentic and varied, but not too many choices. Whilst the wine list is extensive, some of the prices were a little excessive

Looking for a good place to eat after seeing a film at Curzon Bloomsbury, I remembered my fondness for Cigala..but hadn't been there in many years. The choice turned out to be exactly what my companion and I had hoped for...choosing from the tapas menu, everything we tried was delectable--from fried polenta to ham croquettes--and served by absolutely charming young women. Plus a bonus: we were seated in the rear, quieter, section. In every way, this was a welcome return. Although there are many fine choices in that area these days (i.e. Noble Rot) it is Cigala to which I will return.

Excellent food and the service was fine. Atmosphere was nice, though table was a bit small and poky. A really pleasant experience all in all.

Lovely table, great food – especially the quail – and charming, efficient service. And so nice to be able to have a conversation without other guests texting/talking on phones etc., A special treat. We will come again, definitely.

An absolutely delicious menu with great standard and unusual dishes. Saturday lunch was a perfect time to eat - the wine list is full of unusual gems

Always a very positive experience with excellent food and service. The air conditioning is a big plus in the hot weather as are the outside seats.

Very slow service, didn't offer us drinks menus until 15 min after we'd been sat (the restaurant wasn't even busy), food was mediocre (chicken croquettes had large bones in them?) and our plates weren't cleared for about 30 min after we'd finished eating. I wouldn't go again.

Cigala is one of London's hidden treasures, one one of the most characterful streets in the city. The food is always a joy, and the welcome as warm as can be imagined. My wife and sun relish the distinctive cocktails...

This was a shame. The food lovely, as ever, but the service just wasn't very good. Not rude or snotty, just neglectful. Not enough staff on duty. Drink menus brought, but then nobody came back for the order. Big delays in the food. At one point, having given up on anybody returning to our table, one of us had to leave our seat, take the menu and seek out service. Cigala had become a regular for us, but on our previous visit the service was a bit shoddy. We attributed this to a slightly 'off' night and thought it wouldn't put us off visiting again. But when the same thing happened this evening we decided it was no longer a regular haunt and that we wouldn't be returning.

Favourite Spanish restaurant in London. Clean, bright, cool, no huge fuss, reasonable prices for mains, selection of appropriate wines. Ate too much paella, as always :-)

Cigala is one of my favourite places. I love the location, the big windows, the outside tables. And usually the service and the food. But last night was pretty mediocre. The food was no more than OK. Over the past 6 months, I feel it hasn't been as good. The mains still hang in there, but the small bites/tapas menu is not what it used to be. Less flavourful, less zingy. But above all, Cigala was always a place of not just friendly service, but also knowledgeable service. The wine recommendations always spot on, the dishes arriving in good order. Last night's waitress was a perfectly lovely woman but utterly useless as a waitress--didn't know the menu, couldn't pick a wine, forgot the cutlery... just not a waitress! I'll be coming back because Cigala is lovely - but it needs to pull its socks up!

Service ‘smiley’ but short staffed so thin on the ground. Maybe unusual but on my visit they were out of stock of 30% of white wines at the cheaper end. Probably wouldn’t recommend to friends but ok

Great food and service! Will definitely go again and this is a regular place for us, as it is near our workplace. Ham croquettes were the best!

Poor service, kitchen not properly ventilated so whatever was cooking flooded the dining room with overwhelming smells. Understaffed and inattentive. Staff paid no attention to my food allergy indicated in original booking and subsequently in house. Food was no better than okay. I normally don't bother with a review when it is disappointing, but this was exceptional in that regard. Sorry.

Overall a nice place with good service and stylish interior Having just spent 9 days in rural Spain the food was nearly as good Unfortunately I had to send my main course back as it was undercooked Yes would visit again if I was in the area

I'm an occasional diner at Cigala and the food is always superb. From the bread and oil, through chicken livers and gambas, the preparation and taste is very, very good. The sherry and wine list is also a joy. This time I went for the (pricey) Negre de Negres, which is probably about the best wine Spain can offer today. For me, a destination choice in the always enjoyable Lambs Conduit.

A nice experience. A quiet period mid afternoon so easy to pick a good table and the service and quality out of the kitchen were hard to fault. Not the cheapest restaurant by any means and the wine list too but worth it.

Sadly, as a regular, Cigala is sinking. No owner to take charge in sight, over priced menu, dreary feel to plates, kitchen forgot the job

Service was extremely welcoming and friendly. Wine list well chosen if a little on the high side starters were mean - tiny amounts of second rate manchego and ham. The paella de carne was well made if a little deficient in carne.
