We were very impressed with everything about our meal at Cornish Tiger - the service, food and atmosphere were perfect. The menu is fresh, interesting and delicious, the drinks list is varied with some unusual wines to try, we will be back, and soon!!!

We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere: the food was creative without being pretentious and the atmosphere relaxed but not in any way raucous. A very good place for families, like ours, and a nice place for couples as well.

Lovely local restaurant, my third visit. Staff very professional-one issue was dealt with efficiently and without fuss. Food is fresh and well cooked, good wine list but could do with more choice by the glass. Desserts need some refinement, the deconstructed cheesecake does not really work and seems relatively expensive compared to mains prices. Starters are too good to choose from, mains are very reasonably priced for the quality offered. I will be back again soon.

Nice location and atmosphere. Small but varied menu catering well to all crowds. Wine is a bit pricey but the food is fresh and very pleasant.

Service was great, didn't care for what I ordered but everyone else enjoyed their food. The ribeye steak was excellent. A bit on the pricey side, but would go back.

Beautiful fish - had the smoked plate starter which was epic - roasted beetroot with cumin/curry - inspired - partner had the crab and loved it too

Really good and interesting food and efficient service. Back room is cold and empty, front of house gets lively and busy. On a hot summers night it's fabulous, loses the ambience when the sun isn't shining.

Food was excellent and the service was also very good. Attentive without being overbearing. Nice casual decor. My girlfriend and I each had two courses and shared a desert which was enough. Soft shell crab was very good though there was only one.

Tasty food in a lovely setting. The hake and pork belly were delicious! Will definitely be returning here again. A great local restaurant with fresh produce.

I don't know why I hadn't tried this local restaurant earlier, but I will be going back at the earliest opportunity. The service is thoroughly professional and charming and the food delivers with ultra fresh produce and punchy flavours. Great choice and superb value for money.

This is surely the best Sunday roast beef to be had in London. Slow cooked for 24 hours and it really is stunning. Lovely Staff and a great wine list.

Good and bad. First the good - I had a starter of crispy soft shelled crab which was great, served with pineapple and an interesting dressing. On the whole however we felt that the portions were way to small and represented poor value for money - I particularly don't recommend the cheesecake with tamarind strawberries which turned out to be five small blobs of mascarpone cheese each topped with a tiny sliver of strawberry and what I assumed was tamarind - I couldn't taste it because there wasn't enough. Oh, and there was a pile of biscuit crumbs. Could do a lot better for not much more effort.

the food is delicious but it's really expensive for what it is. The service was good but we were disappointed than when asking for advice for wine the waitress tried to sold us the most expensive bottle they had at £50...

The food, service and wine were very good; only criticism is that there was a lack of atmosphere, Thursday lunchtime, only 3 tables were occupied.

Excellent food; chargrilled tuna steak was incredibly tasty as was the jake. Green's ale lovely too. A very enjoyable meal and good, pleasant and efficient service. I'd say it is the best restaurant in the battersea rise/northcote road/Clapham junction area.

This restaurant is in a very competitive part of Battersea where there are all different types of cuisine exist - Italian, Thai, Korean, British. It has found a niche nevertheless. We were 3 to have dinner. Starters were plentiful. I shared various cooked meats starter with my wife - freshly cut and prepared - and my son had the smoked fish. My wife went for the risotto which the waitress almost put her off by saying it was rich and creamy - surely that is just what you want? It was very good. I had the duck breast with duck croquettes, the latter being particularly tasty. My son had the fish stew which was again properly served in a pie dish. Dishes were all hot when brought to the table and well presented. This was all washed down with a medium to light bottle of Venetian red. There was only one dessert - the chocolate fondant, which was divine. The ambience is very pleasant with a mixed clientèle, presumably mainly locals. Price was reasonable for the area. I would recommend it and go again.

Lovely little restaurant, food was really good quality. The owner came out and chatted to us about our experience which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend. The only downside was that we waited so long for them to come and take our dessert order, that we decided to just get the bill as we were no longer hungry. Dissappointing really as they looked amazing - we'll just have to come back and try them another time!

Excellent food from an impressive menu, great wine and absolutely fabulous service. Perfect service in fact; the type that has your wine glass full and fresh water on constant supply to your table without you really noticing. We'll be back.

Overall this was disappointing. Certain items were good, such as the risotto and the soft shell crab starter. The setting is nice too. However there were too many negatives: the roast peach in the starter was not ripe; the poussin was undercooked; the poached egg with the risotto only tasted of batter. Also disappointing was the service: our waitress emptied the wine bottle on the first pouring (4 guests) and argued with one of our party when she pointed out that the poussin was undercooked. On this evidence, I would not recommend.

We had no idea there was a set menu but we arrived 6 minutes before it finishes. The waitress was keen to make sure we didn't miss out on the deal, and we were glad she did. 3 courses of amazing food for just under £12 is pretty close to perfect on a Tuesday! I'll definitely eat here again!

Fabulous food. Lots of fresh fish and excellent range of meats too. Try and sit in the front part of the restaurant as tends to be quieter.
