Excellent food; chargrilled tuna steak was incredibly tasty as was the jake. Green's ale lovely too. A very enjoyable meal and good, pleasant and efficient service. I'd say it is the best restaurant in the battersea rise/northcote road/Clapham junction area.
The whole experience couldn't have been better. Great value, excellent service, wonderful tasty food and a relaxing atmosphere. Very rare to find in London. Highly recommend!
Lovely little restaurant, food was really good quality. The owner came out and chatted to us about our experience which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend. The only downside was that we waited so long for them to come and take our dessert order, that we decided to just get the bill as we were no longer hungry. Dissappointing really as they looked amazing - we'll just have to come back and try them another time!
Food great, early evening set menu fantastic value, prosecco Tuesdays a great idea, staff very friendly and helpful, pleasant u rushed atmosphere, would go again
Delicious food, great wine and friendly, efficient service - can't wait to rebook! It's quite pricey but good quality produce and flavour, so worth it
Great meal and service, really nice place with a nice and varied menu. Quite cosy and small and walkable from Clapham junction, would visit again
The food was wonderful, fresh, interesting and tasty. We waited longer than was comfortable for our main course, however the staff were extremely attentive though.
This restaurant is in a very competitive part of Battersea where there are all different types of cuisine exist - Italian, Thai, Korean, British. It has found a niche nevertheless. We were 3 to have dinner. Starters were plentiful. I shared various cooked meats starter with my wife - freshly cut and prepared - and my son had the smoked fish. My wife went for the risotto which the waitress almost put her off by saying it was rich and creamy - surely that is just what you want? It was very good. I had the duck breast with duck croquettes, the latter being particularly tasty. My son had the fish stew which was again properly served in a pie dish. Dishes were all hot when brought to the table and well presented. This was all washed down with a medium to light bottle of Venetian red. There was only one dessert - the chocolate fondant, which was divine. The ambience is very pleasant with a mixed clientèle, presumably mainly locals. Price was reasonable for the area. I would recommend it and go again.
Fantastic food, good service and an all-round brilliant dining experience. It's a very pleasant place to spend an evening, too. I'll be definitely be returning soon
Excellent service with very attentive staff. Excellent food and the set menu is great value. Will definitely return to Cornish Tiger to try the other dishes
Enjoyed every minute from the time i walked in and out! The meal was superb. The staff friendly and attentive. All in all class A! thank you
Delicious food and great service. Waitresses were brilliant offering recommendations for wine and food which were perfect. Would definitely recommend Cornish tiger to my friends.
Delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere - a lovely evening! The set menu is great value too. Lovely staff, and great drink deals to top it off.
V good food as always. Enjoyable evening. It is a little noisy in the front of the restaurant but if you ask they can normally put you in the back.
This restaurant ticked all the boxes for my husband and I- cosy atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service and convenient location. We would highly recommend this restaurant for an intimate dinner.
Loved the restaurant and the menu. I was out with friends and we all had a meal we really enjoyed. The service was well timed without being obtrusive. It was a lovely evening and we all said we woukd like to go back.
Really great little place. Food was very well presented and of a high standard. Could have done with a little more atmosphere but it was a Wednesday night. 2 courses, wine and tip for under £50 for high quality. would go back.
Excellent food from an impressive menu, great wine and absolutely fabulous service. Perfect service in fact; the type that has your wine glass full and fresh water on constant supply to your table without you really noticing. We'll be back.
I went to Cornish Tiger with my parents and wife. We all had a good time: Good food, good wine, good service. Just a little bit noisy. Great place
Overall this was disappointing. Certain items were good, such as the risotto and the soft shell crab starter. The setting is nice too. However there were too many negatives: the roast peach in the starter was not ripe; the poussin was undercooked; the poached egg with the risotto only tasted of batter. Also disappointing was the service: our waitress emptied the wine bottle on the first pouring (4 guests) and argued with one of our party when she pointed out that the poussin was undercooked. On this evidence, I would not recommend.
Fantastic food and friendly service. Have eaten here many times and it has always been a great experience. They also cater well for big groups.
Good service - steak was tasty but not as great as I've has from here before. Would still highly recommend!
Excellent food and service. Although it was a busy Thursday night and two of us shared a table for four people, we weren't put under any pressure. Excellent - we'll be back.
Fabulous food. Lots of fresh fish and excellent range of meats too. Try and sit in the front part of the restaurant as tends to be quieter.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere is lovely!! And Tuesday is prosecco night and only £3 a glass!! We will definitely be back soon!
We had no idea there was a set menu but we arrived 6 minutes before it finishes. The waitress was keen to make sure we didn't miss out on the deal, and we were glad she did. 3 courses of amazing food for just under £12 is pretty close to perfect on a Tuesday! I'll definitely eat here again!
Really enjoyed the set menu before 7pm for 9.95 - very good value for money!! The house wines were also very nice. Staff were really attentive, but not too much so. Had a really lovely evening! Would definitely go back.
Excellent food, good service and house wine perfectly acceptable. Only marred by the noise levels caused by 2 Christmas parties but not the restaurant's fault. Also no fixed menu but perhaps that too was down to Christmas season.
Lovely atmosphere - the restaurant was full and very buzzy. The food was good and the service was attentive. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back.
A really charming place. Great food, excellent service and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed for about 4 hours and at no point were we rushed or coerced into ordering more food or drinks. We had a couple of bottles of delicious, properly chilled white wine and an excellent dessert sherry. The chilli sweetcorn fritters were really tasty and well presented. Our roasts were huge and cooked to perfection, with plenty of extras and veg that was spot on. Great value too, coming in at £50 a head including service. Very well worth it, we will be going back!
Really good food. Very nice and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good value for money. Would recommend for small group. Went there with some old friends and had a great time.
Very cool restaurant. Great vibe and yummy food. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay a little extra for a really good meal.
The food is excellent and the set menu is an absolute bargain! This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning for more!
Great food and atmosphere and brilliant service. The menu had a good selection, something for everyone. It did get rather loud in the back room which wasn't a problem for me but understand that it might be for some (but it was a Friday night with lots of big tables).
Fantastic food especially good on fish, lovely comfortable and relaxed surroundings and great service. Shame we were tool full to try their great choice of desserts
Excellent Sunday roast with amazing meat. Lovely decoration and excellent service. The homemade desserts were good (we recommend their panacotta, close to perfect) Only downside, they dont have cider!
Excellent fresh food and very helpful service. The lunch was delicious and attractively presented. Prices were very competetive and the drinks menu, though short, is good quality.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and staff are friendly and welcoming. Not cheap but worth the price. Only complaint is that it would be nice of they varied their menu a bit more- have had the same desserts for over a year and I have tried them all and although delicious something new would be nice!
As always - a total treat. I took my two godparents who are quite particular - and they LOVED it. I had the fish pate to start followed by chicken tagine. Both were absolutely delicious. Apparently the quiche and pork belly were just as good. Have booked to go for Sunday lunch next weekend!
Delicious creative food. Lovely setting. Great service. Have booked to return already! Really impressed and looking forward to many more meals there. Would definitely recommend.
