Côte Kensington

Côte Brasserie is one of my regular favourites but I did not feel today was quite up to its usual high standard. My wife asked specifically for no oil on her soup but it arrived with the oil. My chicken was also a little overcooked and rather dry. Service was a little bit interruptive (rather than getting our attention more tactfully) and the servers laying up tables of diners who had left was very noisy – banging down glasses etc. I hope and assume this was just a one-off as the food and service are usually excellent.

Food is ok, need to improve the service. Tidy the tables. Do not rush between drinks/food/dessert. Let the guests finish before dinner drinks before wine/food arrives. Right now it does not feel professional.

A wonderful meal at cote great efficient service , Alberto was fabulous , consistently good food at great prices . The food is always seasoned well with great options

The usual Cote standard- nice food at a great price. No matter where you are in the country Cote is totally consistent. Standard French bistro fare, always good and delivered by pleasant professional staff. Great value.

Love the food and the service! Everything we get is so good every time we go here. Tonight started with Calamari, French Onion Soup and garlic bread. All delicious.. Rib eye for main has so much flavor. Their specialty desert is to die for! Creme carmel.. The manager was delightful as was our waiter.. actually everyone, Highly recommend

We arrived and was placed on a unsuitable table, but once we asked to be moved it was not a problem. Lovely staff especially the general manager.

We had a large group of 34. The food and restaurant was ready when we arrived. Manager, assistant manager, and the servers were delightful. the food was magnificent--one of our party said "that was the best dessert I have ever had." We LOVED Cote and will visit again.

We was a party of 16 at a cousins get together. We were made very welcome by the all the staff. We had an excellent relaxed meal, no rush, so a very enjoyable evening. We haven’t been to Cote Kensington before, but it was certainly up to the standard we had expected from other Côtes we have been to. I would be more than happy to repeat the evening again.

Lovely meal - my favourite duck breast with cherries cooked beautifully and the potatoes are excellent. We had a free cocktail with blood oranges - very good. Really enjoyable meal and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful varied menu at a fair price. Wine was also very good. But what made the evening was the service and the manager who came over to talk and made the evening extra special.

Have been here many times and always good. Pleasant staff in nice surroundings. Unfortunately, our main dish was very salty, but not enough that it spoiled it for us today.

Very good as a pre-Albert Hall concert meal. Good to find an "all day" a la carte available for early evening consumption. Only criticism was the noise in the restaurant. OK if you are a group, but as two OAP's it was a bit "full on". That said, we would go again.

A very pleasant venue, tucked away in an attractive pedestrianised side street. Good welcome on arrival and good service throughout. The only fault was that the aperitif, starter and wine were all presented at the same time! The white wine was no longer cold by the time the main course arrived - but this was rectified!

It was my birthday and the staff from entering to leaving the restaurant made it an exceptional evening. Thank you.

Very good. Considering how full the restaurant was when we arrived, service was excellent.

No waiting for our reserved table, friendly knowledgable waiter. Service prompt with a smile. The quality of food was excellent. This was special occasion. We were entertaining my doctor niece from Canada and it met our expectation admirably!

I and my friends love Côte Brasserie, it is always a special treat to eat in your restaurants. It is a high class restaurant where the staff are always lovely and extremely efficient, and the food is wonderful, and so reasonably priced. My Crepes with Grand Marnier today was divine! Trish

This is the best restaurant I have been to in Kensington by far. The ambience is wonderful but even more fantastic is the welcoming staff and management whom always make every effort to make it a evening to remember. I have to take a moment to mention our waiter Carlos who apparently was on his first night with his own tables and what an amazing job he did. His attentiveness and service was second to none he is a great asset to your spectacular restaurant. I look forward to my next visit this weekend, thank you.

Superb ! Easy to order a table on line using one of e mail links that had come through a few weeks before entitling me to a free cocktail! It was lovely. Excellent prompt service provided by very experienced and professional staff, we were going on to the Royal Albert Hall and it’s a great place for a pre show dinner. Food and choice of drinks was extentsive and really tasty and well presented. My only slight criticism would be that perhaps some of the tables are a little too close together? Though it was a cosy table for two was just a little cramped. Otherwise fantastic in every way excellent value for money. Will definitely be back!

Delicious food and great service in a lovely, cosy setting. We booked on a loyalty (emailed to me) April offer: a free French 75 for each customer choosing from the a la carte menu - so an extra little treat that made the meal special.

Staying at a hotel around the corner, so booked before we arrived. I rang mid-afternoon to add my son to the booking, which was done very quickly. Food and service both excellent, and clearly other people thought so, as it was very busy - even more impressive that the service was so good!

Absolutely great evening. Booking for 15 persons and the staff were all on point. Friendly, attentive and accommodating to all our needs. Food was amazing too. Definitely no complaints here and will be repeating for future events.

As usual the food was excellent although the service was not as good as normal. We were charged twice for the deserts and after waiting 25 minutes for the deserts and chasing up the waiter, we gather that the order was put through again hence being charged twice. This is very unusual service for Cote - especially the Kensington branch which we frequent on a regular basis. Pepe came to our rescue with his professionalism and excellent customer service and I cannot recommend Pepe highly enough. Thank you Pepe - you are one in a million and a massive asset to Cote.

I visited the Kensington branch of Cote last night and enjoyed a fantastic meal with a friend. Ana Maria and the team looked after us really well and the food was just fantastic - especially the ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection with very little fat. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

The food was good. I tried the April Special, baked haddock. Delicious. But thinking about it later, I realised I hadn't seen the promised wilted spinach. Did they forget to put it on my plate, or was it an invisible ingredient in the sauce? I'd love to know. I like the restaurant and have been there several times. I think it would be even more pleasant were they to install something on ceiling and walls that absorbs the sound.

Good service, good food. Thank you! Sometimes restaurant is noisy when full but Tuesday nights are good for those who like a less vigorous ambience. We, a table of 8, appreciated that.

As always, it was a great dining experience. We had one of the gorgeous orange Cointreau cocktails that were on offer this month, and they were absolutely delicious. The food was lovely - I come back so often that I should know the menu - but there is always something different, or something delicious I have tasted before to go back to. The wine list is really good and great value for money. I love returning to different branches of Cote, and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good,imaginative food,at a price that many people can afford.
