We met friends for lunch at Cote. The venue was very appropriate as we could converse easily yet with a comfortable surrounding noise level. We were all very happy with our food choices.
Great food, great staff but ambulance applied by groups of people just coming in for coffee. Although the predominant people were men, numbering about 20 obvious regulars, and quiet and good natured: it turned a stylish restaurant into a Costa coffee. I was their for my birthday with my son and had looked forward for weeks, but the french restaurant vibe was shot to pieces. By all means have the coffee drinkers in the bar and stool area but keep diners in the back . I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon.
A perfect birthday celebration.Great menu choices for a meat lover, a vegetarian and an in betweener! We were given just the right amount of attention and no detail was missed. My daughter particularly enjoyed the Goats Cheese starter and the Chicken/ Walnut salad was filled with chicken. The complimentary chocolate mousse was a welcome Easter treat. Full marks to Cote once again!
Our first time and we will definitely return. The food was excellent and on the whole, so was the service. Early bird menu is good value. It was very clean and inviting.
Really enjoyable experience with outstanding service. The atmosphere was very relaxing and was quiet compared to most restaurants in the centre of Leeds on a Saturday afternoon. Food came quickly and was delicious. Can’t wait to visit again as it was great value for money!
Great relaxed meal and staff heard me say it was my sons birthday and they did a lovely personalised plate wishing him happy birthday for dessert.
Perfect from start to finish, very attentive waitress, excellent food, perfect treat for Father’s Day
Lovely evening, was mums birthday and staff really made it special.
A thoroughly wonderful meal. Excellent service with hardly any waiting time between ordering and recieving food, staff were all wonderful, and made us feel very special for our anniversary. Côte has been my favourite restaurant for a while and it never fails to amaze me, will continue to come and recommend to others !!!
My party of 4 made it clear when we arrived that we were going to a show and we needed to be served quickly. We ordered starters and bread because the waitress said that the fish parmentier would take “17 minutes” to prepare, which still gave us plenty of time. We had to ask for our starter crockery to be removed long after we had finished eating, and then we had a long wait to be served our main courses, by which time they arrived we had 10 minutes before we had to leave. It was not at all busy in the restaurant (18.20). The food was good despite being very hurriedly eaten, apart from the fish parmentier which was overcooked and dry. There was no time for a replacement so one of my party had to survive the evening on her starter and bread. We were not charged for her dish, which remained uneaten. Not at all up to normal standard or quality of service, and I am a regular diner at Cote in various cities. Usually good food with a high standard of service.
Your website said that the Mothers Day set menu would be available alongside our othe menus. In fact the usual set menus were NOT available and there was just a la carte. This is rather unfair in my mind. The manager swore it did not say that on the website but it is there for all to see. The meal itself was OK especially the charcuterie board. The Crete caramels (4 ordered this ) were not quite as good as usual.
The food and service was excellent - I had belly pork with dauphinois potatoes and veg with chocolate pot for dessert. They cater for gluten free diets and have a separate gf menu. Everything was delicious.
Had lunch with a friend, Fantastic food and great service. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and family and will be coming back again.
Normally go to Liverpool Cote, so first time at Leeds one. Very good but knocked one star off as wine not chilled (had to ask for ice) and one plate was not hot which meant food cooled quickly so felt like had to eat more quicķly than would have liked. Food very good though (duck, Breton chicken and lamb rump with fennel all excellent and calamari good too). Friendly service, there when you needed them but not hassling us. Nice environment and atmosphere, but quiet for a Friday night.
Always lovely Lovely food Lovely atmosphere Friendly and helpful staff Definitely recommend fir any occasion will return, staff can't do enough to help and make your visit enjoyable Thank you
Regular at Côte in Newcastle. In Leeds overnight so thought I would try here. Same standard and enjoyed a lovely meal. Would come here again.
Good food....reasonably priced wine...truly brilliant staff....a really great evening...highly recommended
Nice atmosphere, good service, tasty food. Good choice on the menu. Pork belly consistently good, the rose veal t-bone was delicious. Great place for lunch or dinner.
Had a lovely breakfast to celebrate a friends birthday. Delicious food, friendly helpful staff. Good value for money. Highly recommend the French Toast. We will be back .
Never had a bad experience at Cote. Love the prawn gratinee, love all of the main courses that I've had. The lamb on the special menu was delicious. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed - never felt hurried or like I'm being rushed through.
Always good food at this restaurant, good service and always a pleasure to dine here. The staff are very pleasant and very attentive. A good range of different priced menus.
Disappointed with this chain of French restaurants. I’ve eaten at Leeds and Harrogate branches but, in all honesty, would not dine here again. Mediocre food, which is not very authentic when you’ve eaten real French food in different regions of France. Can’t fault the service nor value but not for me, sorry.
Lovely welcome, given a choice of where to sit. Good , friendly service. Efficient staff, good food and value - a most enjoyable experience.
This was my first time visiting Côte. Walked passed it many times and decided to try it for Mother’s Day. The food itself was lovely and came very promptly and better portion sizes than I was expecting. My only issue I have is that when I asked if I could use my trinity discount she nodded but gave us the bill without it and then avoided our table for five mines. When she came over to take the payment I explained it hadn’t been added but she said she didn’t know what it was was and would have to speak to a manger. I would have just preferred her to say from the start she wasn’t aware of what it was rather than avoid all contact with our table. Just think that staff should be aware of discounts and deals that are on offer. Overall though would definitely return.
Enjoyed our meal, the restaurant is large and airy. Staff efficient but a bit too impersonal. Wine overpriced, early menu good quality, value and choice. Service charge too high.
Service was wonderful, wine recommendation was excellent, food was delicious and great value. Highly recommend!
Really lovely restaurant atmosphere and staff were friendly and welcoming, lots of food options
Food and drink lovely however we were very shocked when the bill arrived and the breakfast, coffee and orange were all charged separately instead of the fixed £9.95 breakfast which we asked for. It was very embarrassing to have to ask for the bill to be reduced. This is not a good customer experience and some people are too embarrassed to say anything and end up paying more . Shame on you cote for not training your staff properly. I eat at cote a lot and would have expected better from you !!
I do enjoy Côte Brasserie - it’s always been fantastic to go to every time - I’ve been to a few and I was looking forward to show a few friends in Leeds. Unfortunately we were left waiting on parts of our order and one of the desserts was completely forgotten about. For a party size of 10 if it was busy that seems understandable but it was quiet. Hopefully if we choose to come again it will be a little better
I took my grandma out to Cote Brasserie in Leeds for a quick meal before going out to the opera. I was unable to make a booking over the phone as it was quite busy but it was simple enough to do over the Internet. When we got there we were stood around for a couple of minutes waiting to be seated. The waiter was very kind and polite, though she did forget to ask if we wanted any drinks or sides. We ordered from the prestiged set menu, I had the duck leg and my grandma had the mushroom ravioli with a side of salad. We didn't feel pushed into buying anything or rushed through our meal. The food was delicious and we especially enjoyed our apple crumble. I was able to swiftly pay the bill and was asked if I was happy to pay the gratuity (which I was) which I though was nice as it is often unmentioned at other restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would be happy to dine at Cote Brasserie again in the future.
Having visited Leeds on several occasions cote is usually our good go to place to eat, great choice, quality, service and very attentive staff This last visit it was totally the opposite. Service was very slow, the place was less than 10%full, when we were eventually served, each course too ages to arrive, same with the clearing of each course, some food was cold and had to be sent back and the desserts didn't even turn up until we brought it to the staffs attention. Lots of apologies and a small discount on the bill , but would have rather of had the quality and service we have come to expect, and usually receive, large thumbs down on this occasion, very poor.
Fantastic chain restaurant with generous menu and portions set in a nice ambience with friendly staff. The timings for set menu are very flexible too.
Very enjoyable experience dining with friend. Quick book on two tables and kindly accommodated and the food is fresh and tasty making for a great evening.
Wonderful welcome, food and service as always. Back as soon as possible,
The waiting staff were very helpful however one (of the four) main meals Pork Navarin was almost cold on arrival. It was changed and the next was OK. Understandably the Leeds Restaurant was not at all busy. Not so understandably both the Pork Navarin's had very little pork in them. Actually very little of anything, except parsnip mash. Very disappointing as we have been to many Cote's and had recommended this to our friends having lunch with us. We live in Harrogate.
Very helpful staff, under extreme stress. Great food as aways.
Enjoyed the overall experience - food good, service good. Glad duck confit is back on the menu.
We had a fab time and the food was very lovely. Thank you to the chefs and waiting staff
Helpful, attentive and very friendly staff. A great choice of tasty food with great value for money on the set menu option
Friendly helpful staff. Set price menus excellent value.
