Food choice great and was good, staff friendly and helpful
All good as usual, good starters and chicken and chips from their special menu plus their delicious creme caramel.
Lovely service. Will put on trip advisor too about visit
Such friendly staff and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning.
Good very salty and starter sizes too large. Lovely staff.
We always enjoy our experience at Cotes. Excellent restaurant experience
Lovely relaxing evening with friends, excellent food and great service
Excellent as usual. We always enjoy our dining experience at Cote.
Wonderful food. Very good staff especially Jo who we know well now with dining so many times. Always a pleasure to come to Cote.
A reliable destination with good food and excellent service. One food niggle: the desserts seem a little mean for the money. Atmosphere score loses on noise level - those low ceilings. Otherwise, always a pleasure!
Lovely ambience, good service and beautifully presented food at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be returning.
It was very busy so service was s little slow. We were also next to a large table who were quite noisy so it was difficult to chat. Food was good as always.
Lovely food served by an efficient, friendly, happy waiter.
Service too slow and,as regulars, food not up to normal standard
We were visiting Cote to celebrate our Wedding Anniverary and were offered a complimentay aperitif, which was very nice. Our meals were very good although I thought my lamb rump could have done with a bit more lamb and fewer potatoes! Overall, we had a lovely evening and the staff were excellent.
My favourite local restaurant- have never been disappointed the set menus are excellent value
We were a group of 11. I booked up a week before and because there we were a 11 of us , I was asked to get everyones choice of food and email it in to Cotes Amersham. This I duly did,all typed out. We arrived and probably waited 15-20mins for our starters and yet another wait for our main course. I do wonder why we had to order in advance, I was half expecting the table to be already laid up with starters.
Always enjoy going to Cote in Amersham. Staff are really friendly and they made a fuss of my grandson whose birthday we were there to celebrate. As usual the food was superb.
Excellent as always. Staff fantastic , food great a lovely relaxing evening
Went there on Friday evening with a friend! Excellent service, very attentive staff, amazing food! Very pleased!
Waitress we had a lovely, kind and very helpful hope to have her again
Very nice meal with very good service. Staff attentive at all times. Will look forward to going again.
Really delicious food - it almost felt like we were in France
Lovely cool restaurant . Free gin and tonics were delish . My mother and I both enjoyed our salads and calamari
Enjoyed our meal. I like the duck just turned from pink as not chewy. It arrived at the table pink but was soon whisked away for a little extra cooking time. As always the Creme Caramel was wonderful.
Great variety of food and drink with Vegetarian options for our son (23) Lucky for us it's only 4 miles from home!
Always a nice dining experience. Food, fresh and delicious.the staff are excellent. Never been disappointed
Once again we have had a thoroughly lovely supper. My Lobster was delicious and my husband's veal entrecote absolutely fabulous. Service excellent and the whole experience a pleasure. Thank you.
Lovely atmosphere and my tomato Breton starter was delicious, however my husband’s cote burger was very dry and over cooked, and my fish pie had also been overcooked and so the sauce inside was non existent with the potato on top more resembling pastry. We also had to wait half an hour for our starters and longer than normal for our main and dessert. Not the usual service we get at Cote Amersham, and the food is usually very consistent.
The food was excellent. This was our second visit. I chose a wine to be told a minute later you were out of it, so I chose another more expensive wine to be told a minute later that that was not available, but we got the third choice. However your waiter was pushing us to chose the wine before we had chosen the food which we thought a bit pushy. And if you were smart, you would have given us the second choice for the price of the first.( had you had it !)
Enjoyed by all the family (6 adults and 4 children)
Good service good food and good atmosphere prices are reasonable but although the staff deserves the 12.5 % tip on this occasion I feel you should not force it on the bill it should be my desision to offer what I feel is fair because you embarrass people if they want it removed bad move from your side it could stop customers coming back
We enjoyed our food. Restaurant was so busy. Felt sorry for staff as rushed off their feet. It was noisy.
St Germain cocktail was delicious. Starter of melon & Bordeaux ham let down by ham being too sinewy to even cut with a knife. However was not charged for it. Lobster was dry and tasteless. French fries were lovely. Mushroom crêpes were unrecognisable & disintegrated into the thin sauce - very little spinach & not much cheese. Staff delightful. Think Cote might be best for steak frites!
Disappointed with the whole experience, our daughter has gluten and dairy intolerance after explaining all of this vegetables were coated in butter and we had asked them not to be! Took almost an hour for food to come out and the potatoes were black in the middle An expensive meal and very disappointing
Experience ruined by very poor service - forgetting one of our meals and then being untruthful about it. Manager dealt with the situation very well once she was made aware
We enjoyed our meal great food good staff thank you
Food was delicious, service friendly and efficient. The early evening set menu had a good selection of dishes.
Went to Cote for my birthday with a friend. Service was great. The food was delicious. Portion sizes were very good. Overall great food and great value for money.
Cote provides an excellent personal service encouraging many return visits
Service was efficient and friendly! We will definitely go back again soon.
My previous visits to Cote Amersham have always been excellent and this visit was no exception. The staff here are VERY attentive! (I would point out that I had exactly the same starter and main as I had when I recently visited Cote Wokingham where the coddled egg was stone cold. This was NOT the case at Cote Amersham. It was all piping hot!) My only criticism was a table of 3 'young mums who lunch', who were VERY loud. We weren't the only people who noticed this. This however, WAS not the fault of the restaurant but it did mar our experience a little! The atmosphere/noise levels are always excellent here, just a shame this visit was spoiled a little by the 3 mums on an adjoining tables who wanted to see who could speak the loudest over the other 2 mums!
Cote is always reliable, good food, good service and good value.
Couldn't have been better - and we actually received the seating area we had requested! Thanks Vincent Morris
Love this Cote, v pleasant ambience, attentive service, lots to be appreciated. However I believe some menu items need to be sharpened up. French onion soup - never had crust before ! Salade nicoise - not a great success. Nicoise seems and looks very simple and it is if you follow the rules. Not green enough, not enough green beans, no anchovies, minimal potato (and new ?), and what was all the other stuff ? (peppers ??) I am aware that there is a modern trend to put a char-grilled tuna steak on top but if you do that it needs to be the best quality tuna loin, rarer and the char taste shouldn't drown out everything else) Core reacted very generously to my comments I must add
All together a lovely evening. Great service delicious food lovey staff. What more can you wish for.
Great food and service. Lovely atmosphere. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants!
Early supper on a Friday evening - we had asked for a quieter location when we booked and they knew that and met our needs perfectly. What made the event was our Server Hayley, she was warm, open, informative and professional. When some of us could not decide between the wonderful options, Hayley made great recommendations regarding both food and wine. “Huge thanks for guiding me to the smoke salmon starter to match my Rose - Thank You”. We can highly recommend Cotes Brasserie Amersham for an early supper and do ask for Hayley 💫
the food was good and the service was excellent. It was quite busy so the atmosphere was quite buzzy.
Great Full English breakfast as always though very disappointed to be told at 11am that they'd run out of orange juice. With a Tesco store a short walk away that's fairly unforgiveable.
