Arrived 6.05 food 6.55 Cote tomorrow = Jamie’s today ?(good food when it arrived though)
Pleasant service, easy atmosphere. Excellent stop if you are going to/coming from the Barbican cinemas, gallery or halls, for something light or more substantial. Daily specials menus offer excellent value.
Excellent food, very efficient and friendly service Comfortable, ambient space. Tables well spaced.
Great and fast service. We were in a rush as we were in between wedding events and the staff were super accommodating and friendly ! We would definitely recommend
Good food, good value for money. I like Cote Barbican. Have been there a few times and will be happy to return.
I have dined at Côte Brasserie - Barbican on several occasions. What I love about the restaurant above all else (and why I keep returning) is that despite it being busy when we dined, it wasn't noisy, I could hear myself think and could hold a good conversation with my wife without having to shout or having to strain to hear what she was saying. The good food and excellent service at this restaurant are a given.
Food was really good. Pre-theatre menu is excellent value with good choices. Really nice service. Ideal for the Barbican Centre. Nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend.
The restaurant was packed and everyone was in a rush as they were all going to the Barbican concert. Despite this the service was superb. However my meal was not particularly good partl I think because I ordered the wrong things. The soup was ordinary and the shepherds pie type dish lacked flavour and did not have enough meat. However I go quite often to your restaurants and will continue to do so as it is generally an excellent deal.
We watched with increasing distress as more than an hour passed from our order, people in nearby tables who arrived half-an-hour after us were served their seconds and mains, and the time for our theatre tickets approached. We just had time to scoff the mains, abandon any thought of dessert, and got into our seats with a minute to spare. A refund of our small drinks bill went some way to assuage, but not an experience I want to repeat.
As always we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cote, Barbican. The food is of a high standard and a good choice is offered, even on the pre-theatre menu. Staff could not be more helpful.
We thought the fish was off - it smelt bad. Service was only OK - a long time to order, water ordered but forgotten. We go here quite often but this visit was disappointing.
Delicious food, served promptly. It’s the perfect pre-concert dining experience.
Service here is always courteous and food good value for money. We came for a pre-concert dinner, and the restaurant was busy as usual. We'd left an hour and 15 minutes for dinner. Usually this is plenty, as the restaurant is used to catering for the pre-concert rush. However, because there was a problem with the starters, we had too wait too long, and could only hurry through two courses.
I had 65 minutes to have the pre-theatre menu. I was able to order quite promptly and the first course soon arrived. After 50 minutes and my asking twice the second course still hadn't arrived so I put cash on the table and left. I have been a regular customer for many years at various different branches and this is the first time I have been let down.

Lovely tasty food, service seemed slow given it was quiet in the restaurant, but complimentary dessert and drinks made up for this. Would definitely eat here again.
A very dependable chain. We had breakfast today and the dishes were well executed and fairly good value. It was not a particularly busy time and service was attentive. Definitely a good place to eat if you are going to an exhibition or watching a performance at the Barbican centre.
Everything excellent. We very much enjoyed food and service was very attentive. I think this was the best Cote I have been to.
Excellent food. Very tasty and reasonable price if you go for the set menu. Service is efficient and friendly. Been to this and other Côte brasseries and have been very impressed.
Fantastic value for money here, well cooked food, friendly service and a two course/3 course meal for less than £20. Amazing in central London to get this quality for this price.
Lovely meal and great attentive service! Food was well prepared, hot and well presented. Good atmosphere and good value on the Theatre menu. This Cote is Highly Recommended.
Excelent service and value for money. very good location for anything city related. Staff very attentive to your every need. Within easy distance of main line and ungerground services.
plus: Lovely greeting, arrived early but table ready. Great rhubarb martini on offer. Starters both delicious minus: Long delay between starter and arrival of main course, and my frites didn't arrive until I had finished my mussels in spite of asking twice. When the bill came the complimentary rhubarb martinis had been charged, this was rectified quickly but spoiled the end of the meal.
Nice place, good food, lovely service. French food is always to go for.
The staff were friendly and efficient, service was excellent and the food delicious. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The restaurant was busy with the pre theatre/cinema crowd. As a result service was very slow. We had to ask several times to be served. I had booked and informed them in advance that I am coeliac, so on arrival and being shown to our table I was given a Gluten Free Menu. Eventually a waiter came but as soon as he saw the Gluten Free Menu he told us we had to have another waiter. 30 mins later we made our order. It was a shame as the gluten free menu is extensive and when our food did arrive it was good. But we were worried that we would miss our theatre. We had to ask to pay the bill and ended up walking to the bar area to pay. I would go again as the food was good and the location convenient but would perhaps arrive even earlier. Perhaps Cote Barbican were just understaffed that night?
As usual, excellent food and exemplary service. Great for pre-concert eating when you have limited time. Speedy service without ever getting the feeling of things being rushed.
A very nice " Pit Stop " on our way to the Barbican. The Quality of theFood, Service and Ambience were all very good. We shall be back.
It was a wet Monday evening, yet this venue was still buzzy with diners, just pleasantly so... Seamless service (which took stress from us knowing our train service ended early this evening), the usual good ingredients, well cooked and presented.

Experience was terrible, food took absolutely ages and wasn’t very nice, steak was undercooked & staff were rude and kept getting orders wrong, not very happy
Its a local favourite, the food is always good but the staff are even better. Thank you
Having been to many 'Cotes' this one is very convenient for the Barbican cinema(s) and, although very busy, we were given excellent attention: the staff went out of their way to find a good table for us - thankfully away from the extra loud noise near the entrance. The service was impeccable - including rapid help when I knocked over (and broke) a glass, losing the last few drops of the delicious Cocktail of the Month. The waitress was delightful, polite, caring and did everything to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable, solicitous about the timing of when we wanted the wine and each course - and helping us with any indecisiveness on our part. Shame the food was not quite up to scratch.
My sister and I met for a pre theatre supper . We love ‘a Cote ‘ as we call it ! Professional , friendly service . Delicious food and wine at very reasonable prices . What’s not to like !
99.9% but with oysters on the menu it would be 100%
The staff was very friendly catering for all our needs, the food was delicious (including the vegan option), and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed.
Normally I write rave reviews about Côte but this evening’s main course was the worst ever. Worse than bad economy class airline food. Avoid the chicken parmentier on the early evening menu. Maybe it’s better when full price, who knows?
Lovely ambiance and service was exemplary. Would visit again.
Quick catch up dinner with an old friend before going to the Barbican. Great value meal, good wine and very good service. What more could you want? Big fan of Cote.
Brilliant meal and amazing service. Attentive but not intrusive, great location for the Barbican. We really enjoyed our meal at Cote, definitely be back.
Naughty! The Prestige menu is automatically displayed with no reference to the standard set menu. We had the prestige and a la carte and enjoyed it immensely, but....
Lovely food - the pork and the duck were wonderfully tender and well cooked. Efficient staff, who, in spite of being very busy, were smiley and attentive. What's not to like?
We have eaten at Côte Barbican many times but today the service was very poor. Our waitress had to be asked twice for a gluten-free menu, bread & cutlery. It could barely be described as service I’m sorry to say. We did however, enjoy our food.
Excellent value with good service and tasty food. Happy to recommend the restaurant. The staff are always courteous and helpful. Ideal for pre theatre and cinema.
Food was lovely and speedily delivered tp our table. Thank you for a memorable meal. All the meals arrived as requested -when bill was asked or it was there in one minute - excellent.
Shame about the soup but the rest was OK zz x z x g f v c f y f e b, b b h n
We took some friends to a pre-concert supper. Unfortunately there was a mix up in the kitchen and our main course wasn’t ready in time for us to eat it before the concert. Potential disaster was averted when the delightful manageress asked us to come back after the concert when our meal would be free of charge - absolutely wonderful way to look after customers. We are regular visitors to Cote Barbican and will continue to do so!
Really attentive friendly service and HUGE portions! A big fan of Côte and regularly go to the Parsons Green restaurant. There is a very big difference in the portion sizes between the restaurants
outstanding... as ever... we've always enjoyed our experience at the barbican cote
Great end to my Birthday weekend - thank you to all the staff who joined in the singing even though the one at the back was slightly flat... thanks again
First two starter choices were not available. We sat down at 7 pm!
This was a great experience and i would recommend it to anyone:) the food was delicious and the service was great. I hope to come again soon
