Côte Battersea Rise

Mothers' Day, and so one would expect a crowd and the odd hiccough. Food excellent - once it came, and the overcooked steak replaced. We were given credit for our bottle of wine, which we considered a very nice gesture. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice (repeat) food. We were glad for our payment for the spurious beer on the bill to be added to the gratuity, and pleasantly surprised to be offered a token for a drink for use at a subsequent visit. A good afternoon out. [The Google online booking was smooth and quick.]

When I arrived I was told that the card machine was broken and I would need cash. This was not a problem, I just went down the road to get some and upon my return the manager was very polite and thanked me for my understanding. I sat down and ordered - bread, drink and a main (plus side). The bread never arrived which was a shame. My main course was good but my plate was taken away before I had finished my last mouthful. Just a small tip - if the client is still chewing their last mouthful of food they haven’t finished. My dessert order was then fulfilled and again it just felt rushed. When the bill arrived the bread was still on it. I am disappointed with this visit, I normally enjoy Cote and choose it over most other restaurants. This was my worst visit to Cote. Too many staff came to my table (serving, taking orders, etc.) so no one was actually taking an interest in me. This is what sets restaurants apart from each other and sadly Cote failed tonight.

Chiro ( I hope that is spelt correctly) was wonderful, atmosphere was calm and relaxing which is just what you want when catching up with friends. Lovely presentation of the food and great tea selection plus the lovely mimosa made us feel really special and was a sweet added touch. Great work, lovely experience, will share with friends.

I like this place because the tables are not all squeezed together and you are able to have a conversation. Food variety is very good, quality is good, not cheap but good value for money.

The waitress found us a nice place to sit and also allowed us to move as there was a bright spotlight shining down onto the table. Service and food were good and the music was not intrusive. Also, no loud guests which was a plus.

Great service, food was tasty if a bit less nicely presented than I remember from the last time I visited. Nothing to complain about though - I’m sure I’ll be back soon !

After a very poor experience last time I visited Cote (last week) this was much better. The food was good and the flat white was much better. The service was excellent. The manager acknowledged the poor service last time and gave me a complimentary breakfast which was much appreciated.

We chose Cote Brasserie because we had been to a birthday celebration there before and enjoyed it. My disabled daughter was delighted with her lunch party and the staff were exceptional. Well done!

Friendly and attentive service. Unfortunately due to no fault of their own the card machine was down some members of the party had to go and get some cash out. The manager did give us a bottle of wine for our trouble.

I was really disappointed with my meal here last night. As a loyal Cote goer having been for years, this was my first time at my local Battersea branch. The food I always eat was poor quality (calamari was awful - all the bread crumbs were separated from the squid), our cocktails tasted like toilet cleaner, and when i complained about them we didn't get replacements, just some sugar to stir in ourselves. The waitresses were running around so frantically it stressed me out watching them. My dad didn't receive any of his side dishes either. Also, our table was so tightly packed in next to the one nextdoor, my mum had to stand up every time they needed the loo or to leave. A total shambles!

I am a frequent Cote customer in various locations in the South East. The French flavour, the consistently good food, the service and real napkins do it for me.

First time here and it won’t be the last. It was 4 of us and we ordered different things to try them. All the dishes were delicious and a perfect size. Staff was attentive but not overbearing. Complimentary bottle of wine went down a treat.

Amazing meal and attentive staff, they made us feel very welcome for my husbands birthday.

The food was excellent, as was the service. Great wine list too. The menu has a full choice of dishes to suit all tastes. All in all 5* experience.

Great food - loved the Sea Bass - though service a bit hit and miss ... and not everything available on menu / got bill wrong and we overpaid - then noticed after - it was rectified but annoying

Service was very good, delightful Sardinian waitress. The lamb however was raw and tasteless. Had to send it back to be cooked further, but still very rare and tough. Everything else was very good. Steak Frite, Moulle Frite, starters etc. Complimentary bottle of wine was very nice. Sauvignon Blanc. Overall a very nice restaurant.

We eat at Cote Battersea Rise regularly, in groups both large and small. The food, staff, and atmosphere are consistently very good, and they're very good with kids, too.

Manager who has recently moved across is charismatic and welcoming. He went out of his way to welcome my guest who arrived early, looked after and spoilt the birthday girl ... bravo! Waitress and food as usual were amazing, attentive & perfect. Thank you Team Cote!

Food was lovely but we waited a long time for our order to be taken. We were also over-charged a fraction and despite questioning it, our question was dismissed. We paid as it was minimal but not a great impression.

The ChateauBriand should on the Specials Menu more often. We shared one on Saturday, I was excellent...though a larger frites portion would have helped.

I love this restaurant because the food comes quickly (which is good) and the food is amazing. You have the best lemonade (Schweppes)which is nice to have with the rest of the meal.I have been trying to find the perfect steak tartare for years now, and I think I have finally found it. It is the perfect steak tartare because it is not chewy and has the perfect amount of sauce and is perfectly seasoned with capers and other herbs. The gratin potato is amazing with its slightly chewy bit and its wonderful sauce. Thx
