Côte Bournemouth

Service was good, friendly and attentive but not overly so. Food was OK. Atmosphere and cleanliness was good. Only negative thing I have to say is that no one took our personal details, and I believe at the moment this should be done for contact tracing.

We were delighted (a) to have been able to reserve a table for dinner and (b) to enter the restaurant and find that it was the delightful Cote experience of old. Friendly service, candles on the tables and a menu bursting with lots of choice - such a contrast with the puritan efforts of so many other lesser establishments. Our only criticism? Very noisy environment. It was busy, but busy restaurants don't have to be noisy. Perhaps something to do with 'white noise' or acoustics. The meals are expensive for what they are. They seemed like mass-cooked and reheat-to-order meals for the price of a cook-to-order meal. One meal in particular had to be sent back. The potato was totally cold - I don't mean not warm enough for my liking but physically cold. I don't like the addition of 12.5% service charge to the bill. A service charge should be discretionary. It says discretionary on the bill, but the starting point is that it is included so if you don't want to pay it you have to have it removed. When looking at the menu - add 12.5% to get the price you will end up paying.

So glad when we heard Cotes was reopening in Bournemouth. We went on the first day & it was just as good as before lockdown. The food & service was excellent & we are looking forward to another visit soon.

Amazing afternoon! Thank you!! Was a little thrown off by how busy it was so the wait at the door was a little nerving as no social distancing possible. But other than that it was superb. Our waiter was nothing short of excellent and all the staff acted professionally and all wearing the correct face shields. Everyone enjoyed their food and it felt good to be back! Perfect x

Lovely food & great service. Staff wore Visors and cleaned down tables and chairs when people left, which was very reassuring unlike other Restaurants we visited.

Tables too close together. I had an upset tummy after beef bourgenone. Service was slow and as a solo diner I received less favourable attention. I don't agree with the way the additional service charge was included in the bill. It was very difficult to object to it. However, the chocolate mousse was superb.

All good. A couple of favourites missing from the menu but great food, service and atmosphere. Glad Cote is back open!

We visited Cote Brasserie after a 5 month absence due to lockdown and found everything almost the same as before. Good food, excellent service and a £20 discount! Couldn't be better.

Having eaten at 3 other establishments in the area since they re-opened, I found Cote the most comfortable - good spacing between tables, waiting staff wearing visors and lots of sanitation stations. I also liked the fact the menu was not too restricted (unlike the others). The quality of the food and service was as good as always.

We had a lovely meal. The food was excellent (steak, grilled chicken and chocolate fondant) and we were impressed by the service. The staff were friendly, welcoming and on top of all Covid arrangements.

Great to be back pleased to see that only those with booked table were allowed in.

First time vist: Sunday 24th February Lunchtime. Good menu options. Gluten free menu available. Really good service and nice atmosphere. Seems to be a popular restaurant. Great Overall impression.

The menu had a range of dishes available at reasonable prices. We had asked for an accessible table and all our needs were catered for. Staff were very attentive and courteous. The food was delicious, service was excellent. Perhaps the only gripe: in Grance bread is put on the table without exception, why in a French restaurant did this not happen? We had to pay for bread, a pity.

Whilst staying in Bournemouth last December we came here for the first time and couldn't wait to come back on our next visit to Bournemouth. Food lovely and great service.

Same familiar scene at a Cote restaurant - first time on a Sunday evening. Very quiet. Who dictates that 25 words is a mimimum ???

Another lovely pre theatre meal, with an excellent french cocktail to start. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and we love the gratin potatoes and the creme caramel.

Excellent meal as always. We dine at Cotes Brasserie regularly and have never been disappointed, the food is always of superb quality. We would highly recommend it

Good food, well prepared and cheerfully served by pleasant,friendly staff. Enjoyable experience. We have visited Cote at Bournemouth, Dorchester, Salisbury and Bath and found them all consistently good. We will be returnimg in the near future.

Rather busy intially, had to ask for the coffee twice and the bill.I have visited many times and this has been the slowest service. Meal however great as always.

I can go to any pub chain and spend a tenner and enjoy instant free wifi , I visit branches in Bristol and Bournemouth and when I point the terms of use out to my friends they are appalled , so to use the wifi it has been known a few people put in rubbish anyway .I don't see why I spend £65 with Cote and provide all my personal details so you can sell my data ? I get enough junk emails without generating more. Great food but you devalue the brand doing this. Keith Perry

Consistently good food and service and the April specials are worth a visit. We had the Cote de veau and rump of lamb and the veal T-Bone steak was the absolute winner. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was France on a plate!

Another excellent experience at Cote Bournemouth. We had complimentary St German gin and tonics which were exceptionally good. Our food was well cooked and the service was professional and efficient. Well done Cote.

Lovely atmosphere, window table request fulfilled, tasty food with good portion sizes and goods value. Complimentary gin and tonics were a fab bonus start to the experience.

Booked online, easy to do. Table in the window. Really nice lunch, served by a young man who was friendly efficient and knew his job.
