We had a lovely lunch, food was fantastic, staff were great too. Our waitress even sang happy birthday and put a candle in my husbands creme caramel, which was a lovely touch for his birthday

A large, mid-range restaurant - busy and buzzy for our Saturday lunch. Always reliable - and pretty Gallic for Cambridge. An extremely courteous, helpful waiter brought us good-value food - the starters were memorable, especially the moules, which were outstanding and in a brilliant cream sauce. The minute steak + frites mains, very good value at £11.50 a portion were, as ever, nicely rare and juicy. The only tiny gripe was that the wines by the glass (not a big range of choice) were, whilst very adequate, quite overpriced. In summary, a most enjoyable experience, enhanced by professional service. We'll be back.

The waiters and waitresses were very professional and friendly. The food was very delicious and it was a lovely atmosphere within the restaurant. I was very impressed with the whole service. The only thing we would comment on is the temperature of the restaurant. There was a lot of people in the restaurant originally and it was rather warm. We asked about air conditioning and was told there wasn’t any.

Great restaurant for a quick and tasty meal, can get a bit noisy and we were right next to a door they kept opening every couple of minutes to literally throw empty bottles into. We won’t sit in that table again! Otherwise a good meal.

From start to finish our experience was excellent. The service was brilliant and the food was great. Thank you for making my mum's 88th birthday such a wonderful time.

Another lovely lunch at our favourite restaurant. So far it has never failed us. The service is impeccable and the food is wonderful. Having just spent six weeks on the gulf coast of Florida, it’s great to get back to somewhere that understands really good food. The pork tenderloin was delicious and so tender, and the haddock was apparently very good too. Our french onion soup, and asparagus were perfect and the crumble au peche was the best crumble ever. No grumbles at all!.

Very friendly service and great food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone as the menu and wine is great and the waiting time was minimal.

We had an absolutely wonderful evening for my sisters party. We booked online and everything went to plan. Our table was beautiful and every single member of staff were very plesent and attentive. The food was out of this world and very reasonable value considering the high standard! It was to PERFECTION and faultless! Thank you so much to the staff and chefs at Cote Brasserie. We had a thoroughly enjoyable long lunch with some friends at Cote Cambridge on Sunday. The food was really great and the friendly and efficient service helped make the whole experience positive, thank you.

My request to have a table close to the window made when I booked was disregarded. Our table was to the back of the restaurant with a medium sized window, in an open cubicle setting. When I mentioned this to the person who guided us to the table, she said you do have a window ! The acoustics were bad and as a person with hearing difficulties it took away the pleasure of enjoying a meal with my family. One of my guests main meal was returned undercooked (swordfish) and not returned, ( further cooked) until the rest of us had finished eating our main meal. Service unfriendly. We have visited previously and enjoyed the visit, this was complete contrast

Come here often and usually love it. Tonight bought some relatives for their first visit- shown to table next to a wall at back of restaurant (despite asking for window / front table if possible) then left for 20mins without any service. So embarrassing as I’d told them all how great this place was. The front of house lady was abrupt and rude unlike previous staff I’ve known (she accused us of not requesting window and later actually bothered to read the request and apologised). Usually love this place it’s my go to in Cambridge - often go 2-3 times per month but let down today

Great lunch for children and adults. Efficient and friendly service, delicious food. Good for all day dining. Mussels, steak and burgers all hugely enjoyed - washed down with lemonade and French75’s for the adults! Highly recommended.

good location. friendly service. bearing in mind it was after 3pm so abit of a late lunch for two... I wouldn't say food was nice and hot...the Sunday special was a good price and tasty.. perhaps slightly on the small portion side the accompaniments ....... the server was very attentive that was until he sat down on the table opposite for either a meeting or a late lunch, or his break (I couldn't quite see)... but leaving us without any help until eventually flagging someone down... and the table next to us similar situation... all in all it was pleasant not fantastic... I love trying out Cote whenever I visit a new town but I think in Cambridge I would try somewhere else next time...hope this helps

As usual our visit was excellent. Good food served by nice people who combined to make a very comfortable experience and contributed to the pleasant ambiance. The complementary Blood Orange Martinis were a bonus. It is reassuring to know that other Cotes are just as good be it Bluewater, Norwich, Marylebone or Richmond. Attentive service. Excellent menu choice. Food was promptly and very attractively served. Pre-theatre menu represented good value for money. Overall a very pleasant and satisfying experience. We will be back!

Food and drinks were fabulous as always . Service was prompt but main course was served before bread was ready. We were also charged for complimentary drinks unfortunately.

Really enjoyable experience from start to finish. I went for my birthday dinner with my wife. The chicken mousse pate was really tasty and the calamari was some of the best that I've tasted. We both had the chicken main course which was excellent (except for the rocket which we don't like). We washed it down with a very reasonably priced Viognier white. Slightly disappointed that we didn't have room for a dessert. Definitely be going back.

The dishes were hot, well presented and delicious. The staff were most attentive, particularly the lady manageress. The Macon Villages also was excellent. We finished in good time to go to the ADC Theatre nearby.

Excellent food and the fixed price menus are good value. The service was pretty good until we needed to pay the bill. We were in a hurry to get to a concert and the restaurant was suddenly very busy. I eventually went up to the counter to pay. I received an apology for keeping me waiting and the optional service charge was removed from the bill without me asking - which seemed a perfectly acceptable response. We've eaten there on a number of occasions before and this is the first time the service level has slipped a little. We'll certainly be eating there again.

Great food, pleasant waiter, good booking service; class act all the way. Worth visiting anytime you're in Cambridge and consistenly delivers results the last few times we have been.

Excellent, tasty food, helpful and attentive staff in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Bonus: a free apéritif (a February offer when choosing a dish à la carte), What better place to be, on a cold Sunday!

Another great late lunch at Cote in Cambridge. The friendly and efficient service was also as good as ever and it is very welcoming to be recognised from previous visits, thank you.

I can never fault this restaurant - from the very friendly, efficient and attentive staff to the beautifully presented food, this place never disappoints. We went with our friends today for my birthday and received a complimentary glass of kir royale all round. They were very impressed with our meals and I'm sure will be back. The calamari was crisp and delicious and if I have one criticism, it's that the portion was too big! The pork rillettes and onion soup were much enjoyed too. Our mains of Breton chicken, salmon and pork tenderloin were all perfect. The deserts are always top notch! Another lunch that we thoroughly enjoyed.

we were a party of 4, one couple celebrating their wedding anniversary and one person their birthday. The treatment we got was above and beyond what we expected, with a complementary drink each plus a special little birthday cake which was on a specially decorated plate. We all were very grateful to the Manageress and her staff, what a wonderful experience.

Lovely restaurant. Very attentive service. Busy and buzzy but noise not too intrusive. I really loved my salad with warm Roquefort dressing and the duck main dish. Dessert was the specialprofiteroles- very disappointing.

We been booked and we’re taken straight to our table and we had great food wine and service. We would recommend cote for a happy evening

We're seated in a rather tucked-away table but not the worst. The food was all standard COTE fare but I was only abke to choose one starter from the list which was disappointing. The only complaint was the service. You know when someone would rather be somewhere else! I don't usually begrudge paying the 12.5% service but I did here. Nobody wants the hassle of asking to remove it but I was tempted. Maybe Sebastian had had a bad day but if you're adding service you should deliver excellent service.

Visited on a busy Saturday evening, the service was good and the food great. The only disappointment was that although on the menu they had no Beouf Bourguignon, which considering it's lots of people's favourite French fish was not ideal. We still had a lovely evening and look forward to our next visit.

Great as usual. Great food and always reliable service. Not just another chain. It’s different. Cambridge is a good branch, always busy with a good atmosphere.
