Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food. The service was not the quickest, but they were really busy, which is always a good sign. Suitable for all ages

Never disappointed. Lovely atmosphere buzzing. Great attentive staff. Location perfect for The Millennium Theatre Cardiff. When choosing the wine and not sure which of the two we would prefer our waiter gave us a sample of both to try. Great service. Nothing is too much trouble.

Absolutely delighted with the service , couldn’t ask for more, waiter was really friendly and professional and on top of everything getting us water and extra cutlery when needed without promoting. The food was delicious, we as a family of 4 all cleared our plates! Will definitely be going here again next time we are in Cardiff! Only downside was the noise, there was a large party in celebrating a birthday and their level of chat made it difficult to hear each other- but this didn’t effect our overall experience.

Excellent food and service as usual , especially on a very busy day , we had one slight issue , my starter wasn’t hot , changed it without any fuss and then removed it from the bill . I offered to pay for it as the replacement was excellent .

Pre theatre dinner overall was very enjoyable. Good food, efficient service and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was perfect prior to going to see a show at the Millenium centre.

Thank you so much for looking after us. Enjoyed the food especially the boudin noir special. Main courses were fab - I enjoyed my garlic butter sirloin and my partner equally enjoyed her peppercorn steak. Crepe for dessert complete with candle and singing service topped off a lovely day of celebration. Your staff were all lovely with my five year old daughter who devoured her sausage and mash. We arrived a few minutes later than our pre-booked time and then had only an hour for lunch before 3 minutes' walk to the Millennium Centre for the opera. There were 5 of us: we quickly ordered our Kir Royals (complimentary for my birthday!), a couple of starters to share and our main courses from the Weekend Specials. Although the restaurant was obviously extremely busy, full of pre-opera diners, the service was efficient. The main courses arrived with enough time for us to eat in a relaxed manner (the Chicken dish was particularly good) and we got to the opera on time!

All of us really enjoyed all our courses, everything was cooked well and tasty plus the service was also fantastic, everyone serving us was friendly and helpful. Perfect!

Arrived at 6:30 to a lovely full restaurant, the atmosphere was great! We were greeted immediately by a lovely memeber of staff to showed us to our table and took our drinks order. Service was very speedy and food/drinks were delicious! However after the set menu deal finished at 7pm the restaurant quickly cleared out and service became increasingly slow - we waited a long time for our main courses. All in all a lovely night, great value for money.

I had been looking forward to this visit for quite some time. However it was exceptionally disappointing. Having arrived at the time our table was booked we were left waiting 25mins before our order was taken. Our starters were tasteless, especially considering we had chosen from the more expensive specials board. Once the main meals arrived it was clear they had been waiting under a hot lamp for quite some time. However we had also been waiting to have the starters cleared for some time also. We felt as though we couldn’t get the attention of any staff having finished our bottle of wine and unable to order more. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. The only thing that came quickly was the bill, but even then it took some time for the server to come and take payment. It was only after we had waitied and then put our coats on to walk to a till that someone attended to us. They then scuttled off without moving the drinks bucket that was blocking myself in my seat. Although this restaurant is right around the corner from my home I surely won’t ever return. And certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely lovely staff , smashing martini and calamari starter but my sea bass was awful, so over cooked and even a second go didn’t improve it at all but the staff handled it so well and they are why we keep coming back , just wish the food matched them

We used the special offer Spring menu. The food was delicious. We had the soup and the salmon and haddock fish cake. Very tasty!

The restaurant was very quiet, understandable. Food ordered and served. One sign of good service is how the restaurant and staff deal with you when something goes wrong. My mum's piece of steak was way too tough for her to manage. She remarked to the waiter. Without a blink her meal was replaced with a more acceptable piece of steak. Well done Cote.

The food, table service was very good no complaints. One thing, l noticed it wasn't to warm in the restaurant when we arrived.When new people arrived at the door the wind/draft that came in, made it even worse needs attending to better design.

This is our favourite restaurant in Cardiff. This time we took 3 friends for a late lunch on Sunday and all went very well. The a la Carte menu offered a wide selection and everyone agreed that the food was first class. Attentive service as always
