Amazing food and staff, thank you so much! My partner really enjoyed his night for his birthday, we had complementary champagne and top class service.

Excellent service, food was very good. The starter of baked cheese with walnut salad was to die for. Sea bass was tasty but if you have a large appetite then this dish may not be enough. Excellent value for a pre theatre dinner. Fast service, very friendly. Would have left a tip but service charge is added to your bill so no need, especially for two people. Would definitely return.

Booked table for4 for pre opera meal. Usual warm welcome and seated by very friendly staff. We ordered our meals from the lunch and early evening menus - great chose of starters and mains, I can recommend the fish forrestiet. Excellent range of wines, coffee and teas. The food and service were excellent and we out in time for the opera. I would strongly recommend booking in advance if you wish to eat prior to goingvto the theatre because this lovely restaurant gets very busy.

Food lovely but spectacularly grumpy waiters. Maybe just those who served us as others seemed nicer. But we weren’t some rowdy party-just a mum and daughter and honestly every request felt like an imposition.

Service, food, surroundings 1st class. Meal was superb. Definitely go back. Was a bit put off when booking to find there was a 12% gratuity put on bill so was prepared to have that taken off and give our own tip but happy to pay this by the end of the meal without question.

Lovely lunch here for my birthday with complimentary cocktails. They also brought out my creme brulé with a candle and took this off the final bill. The food was delicious and service was exemplary!

I had been looking forward to this visit for quite some time. However it was exceptionally disappointing. Having arrived at the time our table was booked we were left waiting 25mins before our order was taken. Our starters were tasteless, especially considering we had chosen from the more expensive specials board. Once the main meals arrived it was clear they had been waiting under a hot lamp for quite some time. However we had also been waiting to have the starters cleared for some time also. We felt as though we couldn’t get the attention of any staff having finished our bottle of wine and unable to order more. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. The only thing that came quickly was the bill, but even then it took some time for the server to come and take payment. It was only after we had waitied and then put our coats on to walk to a till that someone attended to us. They then scuttled off without moving the drinks bucket that was blocking myself in my seat. Although this restaurant is right around the corner from my home I surely won’t ever return. And certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Patchy service tonight- food still reasonable. Poor attention from waiters and difficult to attract attention. It made the 12.5% service charge seem too high tonight!

When I booked the table I added a note to say we would be celebrating my dad's birthday. When we arrived the staff were nothing but warm and welcoming. We arrived early so our table wasnt ready but they soon seated us elsewhere. When we were sat the brought over a bottle of champagne and wished my dad a very happy birthday. This touch meant everything to me (and him) and we had a fantastic meal. Service was impeccable as was the food. Thank you so so much.

Warm welcome, excellent location 10min walk from voco hotel. We chose from the valentines menu which was perfect the shared desert was wonderful as was the food in general Lovely friendly staff Highly recommended

Top quality food, good service, relaxed atmosphere, reasonable prices the only downside was the restaurant could have been warmer it was a bit chilly. Very helpful and accommodating when booking. I'll definitely be back.

Excellent food and service as usual , especially on a very busy day , we had one slight issue , my starter wasn’t hot , changed it without any fuss and then removed it from the bill . I offered to pay for it as the replacement was excellent .

Mistake was suitably put right. The staff were VERY attentive and the manager was lovely.

Great food and wonderful service. We were seated promptly, our waiter suggested wines and even went as far as to send us a butter that would work well with our steaks and the wine! 5* service we will Definitely be back!

However, on two occasions, my aunt was missing her spoon (soup and ice cream) and her dessert arrived late. Also, my steak was fatty and missing the garlic butter; when requested by the waiter, I was provided with a dish of freezing cold butter slices, unlike the smooth, warm butter received by the remainder of my party. Disappointed on this occasion as they are capable of much more.

Excellent service especially since it was a rugby match day. Staff were polite and food served quick. Will definitely be returning for the great breakfast deal.

We went for Mother's Day brunch after running the Cardiff 10k so we were hungry and ready to celebrate! What an excellent value brunch Cote offered. Champagne, tea or coffee, juice and a full range of breakfast treats. Each of our specific preferences were noted and served with a smile. Thank you Cote for making my Mother's Day brunch a real treat!

Great service; delicious meal. We had a very nice evening, though wish the staff could have had a word with an extremely raucous party sitting nearby!

Front of house gentleman is superb, perfect for the role, what a star. Waiter really professional. Food excellent, very good value for money. We come often, everyone should try Côte, they won't be disappointed

At a very busy time (international Day) although we were very early for our booking the very efficent manager managed to accomodate us by astute switching of tables. Very good service and alkways good value In a time when many of the chains are going to the wall this group maintains its high standards Peter Mills

Pre theatre dinner overall was very enjoyable. Good food, efficient service and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was perfect prior to going to see a show at the Millenium centre.

Thank you so much for looking after us. Enjoyed the food especially the boudin noir special. Main courses were fab - I enjoyed my garlic butter sirloin and my partner equally enjoyed her peppercorn steak. Crepe for dessert complete with candle and singing service topped off a lovely day of celebration. Your staff were all lovely with my five year old daughter who devoured her sausage and mash. We really enjoyed our dining experience, the ambience, service and the food.

I wish Cote would pay their staff a decent wage and stop adding the ‘discretionary ‘ service charge. I feel insulted by this. Also ‘free wine’ not available on all menus. I’m not impressed.

The waitress wasn’t very helpful. Peer pressured into ordering different bread after telling her serveral times. Overall the main and dessert was amazing Thankuou xxx
