Wonderful to be back at Cote after being away for what has seemed like an age. Standards same as ever - great food in generous portions, sensibly priced wine, unrushed service and good value. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Confirmation email however on arrival it was not open. Ended up at another resteraunt and seemed that we were not the first disappointed Cote customers!!! Arranged a weekend away with my wife for first time in 6 months due to covid and this spoiled the weekend.

Our waitress was friendly and helpful, even though my husband forgot his face mask. The food was lovely and I enjoyed the complimentary fig cocktail. Would come again.

We had a lovely time, food very good. We are just so sorry that you will have to close due to the Welsh Government’s Lockdown decision. Tables were well spaced out, COVID rules were being followed and staff were friendly and made this a good experience for us. Thank you.

Lovely place, great food and a lovely atmosphere and great staff

Cote never disappoints. We had a superb lunch - I claimed my complimentary cocktail followed with pork tenderloin and crepe Grand Marnier. Simply delicious, well cooked and presented. My husband enjoyed his cocktail too and had his steak frites and creme caramel. Perfect as usual. Staff and management, social distancing and ambience is as expected of Cote. We will try Cote at home when we go into lockdown. But we will be back as soon as we are allowed back. Fingers crossed.

Exemplary experience as always. We were made to feel very welcome. The October special menu is delicious so much so we have sampled it more than once and we’re only half way through the month! It’s such a treat after a long hard week. A big Thank you to all the staff. See you next week!

It is always a pleasure to eat in this restaurant. The food is of very good quality & VFM. The staff are both friendly and attentive. We will definately be returning !!

Very enjoyable and relaxing. We've always enjoy the ambiance here. Our second visit during COVID. the restaurant is managed so that the crucial social distancing is observed thoroughly but without being obtrusive. The food is good and well presented: the wine is fine, a good range at reasonable prices.

Excellent food and service, particularly the Breton Fish Stew. Delicious! Then followed by the Creme Caramel, best in Cardiff. 😁

Well prepared and delicious food. Many tempting choices on the menu, and with the specials menu too, it’s difficult to chose. I wasn’t disappointed however. I wish I’d kept room for the crème caramel, my favourite! Warm, charming and efficient service. A lovely meal.

Vegetarian options were limited but otherwise the food was delicious and our waiter was friendly and professional.

We always enjoy our visits to Côte, and last night was no exception. The food was delicious, the service great, and the complimentary fig cocktails divine!

Great breakfast as usual. The precautions are just right and strictly enforced without being too obvious. Relaxed Helpful service. Food usual high standard, just what you need to get a very small break.

We had a wonderful and delicious meal with fantastic service. I’m very sorry I didn’t get our waiter’s name but he was a young slim white man with black framed glasses. He was the perfect balance of attentive and invisible, if that makes sense! I must also thank the chef for preparing the crab mayonnaise starter for me without tarragon (I hate tarragon) - it was delicious. I can’t fault anything about our meal; praise all round.

I ordered Calamari as a starter, very disappointing. Cooked in heavy breadcrumbs and deep fried - terrible! Please bring back light batter!!
