We have always love the place but tonight didn't really feel itself, did not appreciate the wine menu just being slid next to us as we were eating, and my kir royale just dumped next to me.

good - reliable meal, specials particularly good. some main courses lacked seasoning, particularly the fish Parmentier. A pre theatre menu would be a good option to consider

Service and food were excellent we werent rushed at all staff were friendly and helped with menu choices. Will return again or may even try cardiff bay

Fab food and menu, fab helpful staff. Always have an excellent meal. Lunch menu changed monthly with a varied selection. Will definately be back soon!!!!!

Sadly during our visit there was a power failure so we could not complete our meal. It was stiflingly hot as the A/C was off and it was the hottest day of the year. The staff tried hard but very much against the odds. The food we did have was very good as usual and the experience will certainly not stop us revisiting one of our favourite restaurants

Food excellent, service not as friendly or as efficient as before and the addition of an "optional" 12.5% service charge still annoys - we gave 10%.

50th birthday party, Party of 12, slight confusion over some food orders, nice food, good staff. Service charge for large party was a bit steep.

Friendly staff and the same good food I'm used to in other Côtes. I enjoyed the 10yr anniversary menu and my glass of champagne that came with it, my husband and me were shown to a lovely upstairs window table looking out onto the courtyards trees. A lovely evening meal. Thank you again for lovely evening.

Good food and service. Great location in Mill Lane in the centre of Cardiff. Perfect for sitting outside on a sunny day with a cold drink.

As it was our first wedding anniversary, the staff greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary, followed by bringing us both a complimentary drink. The staff were friendly, attentive and the food was delicious.

Lovely food and great service. Good value set price pre-7pm supper. Nice interior and prompt delivery of the food which meant you were not worried about getting to the concert!

We were a group of 5 and each one of us had a delicious main and dessert and lovely wine. The service was excellent and very friendly.

Food OK Service very mediocre Always had to ask for service, no one seemed to care about us. Not sure who was in charge and whether they cared about us.

It is a great value for money and the service was great. The food was delicious! I will definitely be returning soon. It also has a great location in the centre of Cardiff.

A great restaurant, with friendly staff. The food is excellent with good choices . The restaurant caters for parties and small groups, the food is always well presented and of excellent quality.

Gorgeous vegetarian risotto :) Lovely atmosphere even in the busiest day in Cardiff. Good service and really liked the Kir Royale treat. Will certainly visit again. Maybe next time for breakfast.

Arrived early it a table was available. The staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I have eaten at this restaurant before and the food did not disappoint.As usual it was a very pleasant experience.

We have started coming here quite regularly for our ex working colleagues get togethers. The atmosphere is good, it's not noisy so we can chat and catch up which is so important. The staff are attentive enough and the food is excellent. I highly recommend the lunch deal too.

Food was good. The service which cost over £25 was an utter disgrace. I had to keep leaving our table to find someone to give us service. It was embarrassing. And the restaurant wasn't even busy - astonishing, No reason given, no apologies - nothing. We've been to Cote in London where they were literally queuing to get in - yet the service there was slick and professional. I'm sorry but Cote in Cardiff have much to learn. I just hope they do it before the restaurant becomes a no-no....

Excellent. Great service. Staff very nice and helpful. Food very nice. There was a group of 6 of us and the restaurant was busy but still the service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

The food was excellent with a wide range of choices. Service was good, quick and efficient. Atmosphere was relaxed and liked how the tables were separated at a good distance. Great evening.

As if it wasn't enough that the food is always outstanding the service was exceptional. I will always go back to Cote. Very happy customers!

Lovely staff. Nice and quiet. No phone signal which is great to switch off from the outside world and just enjoy dinner and company. Food was fab!

Staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was nice and the selection of food was great and I enjoyed my fish soup and duck and potatoes with french gravy for main course. I will return but it's a place I will only visit occasionally as it can get expensive.

Booking was very easy online. We arrived a little early and our table was ready. Food was good. My main issue was how rushed everything was. Within an hour we had three courses. Didn't get a chance to savour and enjoy.

Try the dessert wine! It's beautiful! Fantastic venue for a special occasion! I've Ben a few times now and the staff are always exceptional. Go now!

Lovely pre-show meal. Just can't cook steaks like that at home. Friendly, quick and efficient service without feeling rushed. Good value for money. Tips are included as 12.5% of your bill.
