Quality of the food and service was excellent. However, as a booking for two persons were sat by a large party of 12, we asked to be moved as the noise was unbearable. We couldn't hear ourselves speak.

The service was as impeccable as the food. Could not have been any better, absolutely superb.

The occasion brought a cousin from the US to meet with the Welsh cousin. As a group we needed a quiet place to talk, good food and excellent service. That is what we had at Cotes.

Whenever we are in the capital we eat here. It was very busy in Cardiff and in the restaurant and we had a table upstairs. We were served promptly and the quality was excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff.

A group of us had a great lunch from the 2 course lunch menu.

Really enjoyed the good food, service and pleasant surrounding. Waiter, when we paid the bill, even explained the 12.5% tip. First time ever this has happened and we are regular Cote visitors in Cardiff and London.

Wonderful as usual the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. Food superb.

very nice meal, nice atmosphere, not keen on the 12.5% service charge being applied automatically to the bill does remove a little discretion from the customer, although we were asked if we were happy before payment was made. small thing but moves the balance from customer to business

Nice atmosphere and location. Staff were friendly and the food on the whole was good. The chicken in one meal was a bit dry and a coffee ordered at the end of our meal was missed, this was immediately refunded off the bill. But overall pretty satisfied.

Amazing service and amazing food will definitely be returning to eat there again. The food came out straight away and the service could not have been any better.

Cote in Cardiff city centre is a brilliant restaurant which caters to a wide variety of culinary tastes. The food is inventive, tasty and changes with the months and seasons, so customers never get tired of the same menus. The service is outstanding and the waiting staff are always so pleasant.

Lovely food and Lovely service! Altogether a very pleasant evening . Staff were attentive and accommodating. Great choice on the menus. My only criticism would be that there were too few green beans with the chicken.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. When I received my French cottage pie Parmentier the chef had not put in the meat filling..it was just mashed potato. The staff could not have been more helpful and apologetic. My meal was replaced quickly and we were then offered free drinks or desserts. When we politely declined the offers they cancelled the cost of my meal, both starter & main course (£11.50). This was extremely generous. I would strongly recommend a visit.

Main course disappointing, Paulette roti dry and pototesa not cooked properly, limited mustard sauce, seemed as if food had been precooked and standing for a while, very unlike the times we had visited before. Service good but food disappointing. Also sat in the middle of the restaurant where both tables were available, lacked ambiance. Very unlike our other visits.

Lovely meal and great service but sadly we booked as there was a Chateuabriand special advertised for Fathers Day which we only found out was unavailable when we tried to order it!

I came here for a meal with family for my birthday, everyone thought the food was fantastic, very tasty and everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were great and overall a lovely place. We will definitely be returning

We had a nice experience however don’t think the meal was great. We had a nice cheese platter and muscles for starters but didn’t really like our mains.

There were 5 of us in our party. We all had a delicious meal, from starter to dessert. Really good quality food at reasonable prices. Service was good too.

absolutely first class service.the same for the food. would always recommend cote Cardiff central to anyone. we have been going there for a number of years and are never disappointed
