It would have been 6 stars out of 6 but I don’t like it when restaurants presumptuously add a 12.5% tip on the bill. I would have left the tip because the service and food was good, but don’t like it when it’s already added for me.

Great breakfast yet again. Côte is our go to meal out. The quality, service and presentation is faultless.

Our experience at Côte Brasserie began with a warm welcome, and continued with friendly, enthusiastic service. The food was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxed and customers seemed to feel very much at home. Staff found time to engage with diners, and when it came to settling the bill the manager was keen to hear our feedback. The overall experience was one of dining in a familiar family-run restaurant where you felt you belonged.

Initial thoughts upon being seated was that we were being rushed - ordered drinks and before they arrived was asked if starters could be served. Stated not until we have had the drinks - and there was a look of disappointment on server's face. Hence a little on edge - after main course felt obliged to ask for a 20 minute wait before desserts were served. Also after initial comment (re starters and drinks) server kept going to different people to ask if next course could be served. You missed a trick because I would have ordered more drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Apart from this the experience was excellent - great food and could not fault anything else. Will definitely be back at some time
