A pity they would not allow seating upstairs with attractive views of Cheltenham or allow us to book a specific table.

French onion soup must be the best anywhere! delicious linguine, and of course creme caramel, though i have also had the chocolate mousse before, all brilliant. staff all very attentive and excellent.

We enjoyed our food at Cote, as we always do. It is consistently good. Our favorite Cheltenham restaurant. Great place and great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved it.

Great evening out in town with family visiting from the US ended with dinner at Cote. Food spot on and faultless service.

Simply divine dining! The atmosphere and service was delightfully charming. Our appetizers were delicious and the dessert, decadent. Out entrees were expertly prepare but could have used more salt.

Really great food, lovely ambiance and great staff. Only thing we didn't like was the added service charge at 12.5%. We prefer to cash tip the waitress that has looked after us. It was taken off the bill but was a shame it was there in the first place for a table of 2

Service was reasonable but could have been a little quicker, a little bit noisy at times, atmosphere good. Food was good if a little pricey. Would I go again probably but not at the weekend, a less busy time would be good.

Excellent meal in great atmosphere. Great service and tasty food. Waitress was very helpful. My steak was perfectly cooked to order and french onion soup starter hit the spot. Great place for a group meal in the best part of town.👍

From being welcome on arrival, to the attention by our waitress was great. My daughter had the lamb chops and she said they were the best she had ever tasted in a restaurant. I had Breton chicken and that too was excellent. Thank you.

We love Cote Brasserie but have only been to Cirencester. It was the first time in Cheltenham. It didn't let us down. The best Creme Caramel EVER!

The eggs benedict were not very nice, the hollandaise sauce was like water. The Creme caramel was good, though. I don't feel gratuities should be automatically added, and even though we had given a tip, we were asked to pay the gratuity, which we felt I polite, considering our experience with the starters.

It was a shame that two of the choices on the Mother's Day set menu had been changed by the time we got there (early evening) due to running out of duck breasts. We also had a very small table for 5 of us (we've had this table before for 4 and thought it small then). We had to wait some time for our starters and ages for our mains (in fact we had to chase for them). We therefore declined to pay the 12% service charge, which we don't do lightly. It was a shame as the drinks service had been prompt - so not sure if the fault with the slow service lay with the waiting staff or the kitchen. Oh …..and the "toast" with the terrine was cold.

Another delicious meal served quickly. Food was attractive, service was excellent and the price was very good. I enjoyed the special March menu - the artichoke was particularly delicious and an unusual extra. The free gin and tonic was a great bonus.

We always have a lovely time at Cotes. Staff are very welcoming and courteous. Food is also always enjoyable. So glad The Ivy has not impacted on people going to Cotes as they are different experiences.

Excellent evening, great atmosphere and ambiance. Food and wine was also excellent with good recommendation from waiter. forgot to deliver salad but did not matter because we has some on the plate. Was removed from the bill.

Had early evening menu before going to the theatre. Good quality food with attentive service. Overall it was very good value and we would go again.

A very enjoyable experience. We have visited several times before and are always pleased with the food, staff and atmosphere. The lunch time set menu choices are varied and very acceptable.

The food was fantastic, the best that I have had yet on my visit to Cheltenham. Colette took care of us and she was fantastic as well. We will definitely return!

Never disappointed at Cote. Food is quality and service from Callum was excellent. Loved the complimentary cocktail. Went at a quiet time which is a bonus for me as one who wears hearing aids!

Perfect starters, mediocre main courses but didn't stop for desserts. Four of us in our party, three had the asparagus starter which they were delighted with, the fourth had moules au cidre which were again, perfect although the shells were surprisingly thin and broke easily leaving The main courses were steak (which came at a premium of £2.50), that was 'chewy', one had pork belly which was 'pretty good' one had chicken which he politely described as 'good' but it looked stringy and he left a lot of it. The last had Sea Bass - his benchmark dish. Sad to say the delicate flavour of the fish was completely overwhelmed by fennel. Service was, as always, excellent and the Syrah wine from the pays d'Oc was delightful. Generally a nice experience but not quite as enjoyable as previous visits.

First visit here and will not be my last .There was an excellent choice of food and drink and the waiting staff were very attentive. Well worth a visit .

Best meal I have had at cote for a long time

The food is always Excellent, the staff are always very friendly and the service is great, the atmosphere is lovely which makes it a pleasure to go there.

Great atmosphere we love it here! No music which is fab. However every time we are offered Dijon mustard with our fillet steaks we are always brought English!....this has now happened at least 6 times. Do you even gave Dijon mustard there? 😂

Excellent food , service very good and you complied with my request for providing a chair with arms as I am disabled. Thank you. As it was my birthday it was special and both my daughters and I enjoyed the evening.

Great food, excellent service in a lovely atmosphere. There were 10 of us including 3 children and we didn’t feel at all rushed. The only think I would say is that there isn’t a huge choice for vegetarians.

as usual, totally reliable, excellent food on the premium menu, but from long experience we know all would be good. quick efficient service, allergen reliability better than any other restaurant we've been in with the process taken very seriously and only 'manager' level staff taking the order and a 'flag' in the food of the allergen client. very good should be a universal approach.

Another excellent lunch. at Cote. The steak was tender and full of flavour, the chips were perfect and the March extra dish of artichoke was outstanding. The breaded veal was delicious. Chocolate mousse and apple tart were equally good.

Very good, rapid service which was just what we needed as we were attending a show. Food was excellent and staff were polite and appropriate without being intrusive.

Having been the previous night, we felt the atmosphere was not as good. Everything else was great, as usual. Overall, the whole package is still the best available in Cheltenham.

Delightful evening,in Côte,once again ...this time in Cheltenham. Andrè looked after us with his usual good humour and attentiveness, even though it became extremely busy ! We can always rely on Côte ...good food, genial staff and warm atmosphere ...its never a disappointment.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance, only issue is the same as most restaurants, the wine costs too much. Having said that everywhere has to make a profit and the food/service was really good so thank you!

As always, great food - I loved the moules marinières and duck confit - excellent service and good ambiance. There could be more to choose from for vegetarians though.

Had an email confirmation that the table was booked for 12:00 but I booked on line for 8:30 the crab starter did not look appetising needed some decoration looked very bland tow people orderd this at of the 4 also two people orderd the sirloin steak and could not eat it all as it was very tough this was dissapointing although my minute steak was lovely really wish when topping up the wine glasses they would make sure they want topping up as one person - driver glass was topped up she had poured it before we could stop her.

My partner Amanda and I love Cote at Montpellier.We have been many times and we will be coming many times more.We were concerned that when the “Ivy” opened close by, trade might have been affected.However,that has never happened.The atmosphere,superb food and brilliant staff has as usual come up trumps.Many,many thanks for welcoming us to your lovely restaurant.See you soon,Tom

Food was lovely, but was cold unfortunately. 3 of us ate brunch and all 3 meals were cold. Also the 'toast' with the full English was more like bread than toast. It was mother's Day, so busy, so we let it go. Didn't take away from the flavour of the food. Waitress was very blunt and pretty rude, again she was busy, but it does kind of ruin a meal if you don't get good service. It wouldn't stop me going back as the food was so delicious, just a shame a few big things let it down.
