Côte Chester

Really great food and accommodate my husband who is a coeliac without any problem. Really good atmosphere and the staff are very attentive and look after you from walking in to leaving. Highly recommend.

Excellent service from the staff who were friendly and knowledgeable...nice to see staff looking like they enjoy their job . Great food too with plenty of choice.

This was my 4th visit to Cote Brasserie and they continue to impress. The Chester branch doesn't feel like a chain - each time the food has been excellent. Steaks cooked to perfection, lovely crisp fries. Service is so good and the best Creme Caramel i've ever tasted. My only criticism is the 12.5% service they add - i know they state it's optional but I totally disagree with it - maybe 10% would be more palatable - this isn't London! Particularly as i have read that this chain do not pass the whole of the service charge on to their staff. So, on this occasion, we declined to pay this and added what we felt was a fair tip. Next time i'll decline and leave a cash tip and hopefully that will go to the staff ??

Good central location, service was very good. Gratuity is automatically added to your final bill. Food was nice but not huge portions but not sure if this was due to ordering off the offers menu. Signed up to emails and received a free bottle of wine which was great. A colleague chose this restaurant, it wouldn't be my first choice but only due to the food menu (personal preference).

Food was outstanding as it always is in Cote Brasserie however service was pretty appalling and dirty cutlery was only the start of it sadly.

Great location on Bridge Street. Great staff. Great food. Really good value Prestige Menu plus the usual menu. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priceded. That says it all!! Definitely return.

Welcomed at the entrance. Staff was very helpful. We had a nice table of our choice. The food was very good. The whole experience was very relaxing

We all enjoyed our first dining experience with Côte. We thought there was a good selection of food on the menu and what we ordered was very tasty. The one small disappointment was that two of the six meals were a bit cold. We didn’t mention this to the staff because we didn’t want to make a fuss. The staff were very friendly, the service was good and we liked the ground floor dining area.

Great food, great service. Perfect way to round off a day at the races. I would recommend the restaurant to anybody looking for somewhere in Chester

Food and service fine. 12.5% "optional" service charge excessive and unreasonable especially as you then declined to order us a taxi and sent us to queue at the taxi office a little down the road. We are elderly and such an experience on race night was not welcomed. It is very unlikely that we will visit you again.

All of our starters were lovely and most of the mains were also lovely but some of the side dishes came after we finished our meal so we refused to have them. We have been here for breakfast and lunch on other occasions and everything was great

Staff were friendly and attentive but never overbearing. The menu option we took was fairly limited, but what we were able to order was well prepared and tasted great.

New May menu which was delicious. Both had frisée lardons and poached egg then lamb parmentier/baked fish. All delicious .. Chef should be very proud.

Full restaurant on weekday tells it’s own story. Good food, ambience, and value for money. Have visited several Côte Restaurants and they all have good staff.

We had a fantastic meal in Coates in Bridge Street Chester. Amazing food served by a delightful waitress who made our visit extra special for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Many thanks x

Great menu with lots of choice and good value. Greeted at the door, friendly staff and lovely premises ... even if you do have to mind your head in certain parts of the restaurant! All adds up to a terrific evening.

Very affordable and delicious. Me and my other half had the 3 course set menu which was a bargain for the size and quality of the meals. Strongly recommend the calamari, duck confit, steak with garlic butter and apple crumble that comes in its own pot. Also highly recommend the red wine (no.25 on the menu) which was light but full of flavour. A very romantic meal for our first meal in Chester to celebrate my other half’s birthday. Definitely be returning!

We always enjoy cote but the Chester one is excellent. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. Really impressed all round. Will definitely go back again.

Expected French dinning experience, menu was almost like English pub grub in saying that, lovely ambience, super clean restaurant ,extremely attentive staff made to feel very welcome .

Friendly and good service made for a pleasant evening meal. There was a varied menu and although not used on this occasion the fixed price menus are particularly good value.

It's a really pleasant atmosphere. Staff are attentive, but not overly pushy. Absolutely beautiful food. The dark chocolate mousse is to die for. Will visit again and again.

We went for a pre-theatre meal. There is a good menu with an early menu deal. Also an excellent gluten free menu with plenty of choice which is rare. The food was lovely and the the staff are friendly and efficient.

This was our second visit to Cote Chester and this time the restaurant was much busier. We had a pleasant evening ,though in fairness, initially service was quite slow. The staff though very busy remained cheerful and polite throughout. The food was tasty enough though like the service not quite up to the very high standard of our first visit. I suspect that being so busy had a detrimental effect overall.
