We had a very pleasant evening at Cote. We received a very attentive service, a great choice of food and all at an affordable price.

Enjoyed the evening had lovely food. The staff were very friendly and the place has a lovely ambiance. I would recommend it for a nice chilled evening.

Arrived at 20:15 to a friendly greeting. Had good choice of tables. Had an excellent meal and had a great evening chatting to adjacent diners. We were the last to leave.

Well cooked food and attentive staff. Lovely environment. Managed to move our booking forward for us with no fuss. Ate from the set menu, great value.

Was lovely and good tasty food as always. Only thing that let it down was once we had finished our desserts and they had been taken away, we struggled to get our bill when we wanted to go.

Superb staff in a lovely setting. So welcoming,allowing plenty of time to peruse the menu. Politely attentive but not intrusive and always ready to explain any dishes or drinks. Always a pleasure- thank you all.

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and well cooked tasty food. We have been to Cote restaurants on a number of occasions, this restaurant twice, and never been disappointed.

From the moment we stepped inside Cote we were made most welcome. Having been shown to our table we were offered a glass of champagne to celebfate our anniversary (49 years) and congratulated by all of the staff. A very friendly young lady took our order and while we waited for the first course we enjoyed the smiles and nods from other diners. We had a starter and main course plus a glass of wine and complementary water, all served by such happy staff. It was a really enjoyable evening and we thank all of your staff for such a wonderful experience. We will definately return to Cote soon. Than you very much.

Good menu and warm welcome. Service was professional and we enjoyed our choices. There was quite a nice buzz. The breaded veal was good, as was the fish pie.

Great food, service and value for money. The choice on the set lunch menu is always good, it is changed regularly and has plenty of variety.

This was a present bought for my 60th. My wife and I were very impressed with the restaurant right from entry through the door, we felt we were being looked after. The service given to us that night (Saturday night), even though it was busy was excellent, very attentive and not rushed. The food was lovely, my wife had the chicken supreme which she enjoyed very much, I had the fillet steak special which was cooked to perfection. Everyone wished us goodbye on the way out which was nice. Definitely go here again ! Well done.

Had a lovely meal at Cote, Chester. 6 of us celebrating a 40th birthday. Service was brilliant, can’t remember the name of our waitress but she was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant gave us a bottle of fizz to celebrate which was a lovely gesture! Highly recommend Cote.

Fabulous food and service, excellent location and menu choices, we were all raving about it. We are there on a Saturday evening and it was so good we went back for breakfast on Sunday morning!

Great atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff. We had prawns and french onion soup to start, steaks for mains, creme brule and and a cheeseboard for dessert. Everything was excellent. Will be returning.

First time visiting Cote Brasserie and couldn't recommend it enough! It was me and girlfriend's anniversary which I mentioned when booking the table. Staff was very helpful and lovely and even offered us a drink on the house because of the special occasion. Steaks were cooked to perfection and we couldn't praise the chefs enough. Thank you for the beautiful meal and congratulations on the wonderful staff you have.

Booked for dinner with friend to celebrate joint birthdays. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly yet professional staff . A really good night and we will certainly revisit.

Chester Cote is a favourite of ours, it’s a really cool setting, especially the lower ground. Always great food and the service is always 1st class.

Cote in Chester always exceeds expectations! Last bank-holiday we visited with guests from south Wales who were unfamiliar with the Cote brand. They would definitely consider themselves 'foodies' and were suitably impressed. All of us ate from the great value set menu. As ever, dishes were high quality and portion size always good. Service was great, although think there may be a new member of staff who had 'butter fingers' as quite a few glasses and coffee cups were dropped throughout our meal - so not exactly conducive to relaxation! It's only this that has prevented me giving my usual 6* review for a Cote visit...

Amazing. We had a perfect night. Beautiful food, amazing service and perfect setting. This will definitely become one of our most visited restaurants in Chester now as we have been there. Already recommended it to our friends. Thank you for a truly wonderful time.

Good service from well-trained staff, well-prepared food served in pleasant atmosphere. Be aware that service charge of 12.5% is automatically added to the bill. Upstairs is quieter than downstairs.

The menu is varied: everyone can find something they like, including vegetarians and vegans. Delicious food and great service. Special touches to celebrate graduation. Lovely atmosphere. The premises are very clean and full of character.

First time in the Chester Côte, a hiccup with the starter but the manager went out of his way to rectify it, n the staff serving were fantastic especially with my 4 year old grandson, even gave us 2 umbrellas at the end as the heavens had opened

This is the second time we have been to Cote Chester. What a wonderful building with lovely friendly staff. The salmon and lamb were delicious. We will return on our next visit to Chester .

The service and food were both excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and without us telling our waitress she realized, commented and gave a card to the person whose birthday it was.

We had a lovely position on the upper floor looking out over Chester. The waitress was friendly and the food delicious. Would definitely visit again.

We chose to visit Cote Chester after a good experience at another Cote venue. Chester was equally good with good food and service at reasonable prices. As we visited relatively early for lunch the place was not very busy but it certainly filled up later which says a lot given that this was a Tuesday lunchtime. When the venue became full staff struggled a little to promptly serve all the customers. We will visit again. Chris Fox.

We are frequent visitors to Côte and always have a lovely meal, today was no exception. All the staff were very friendly and the service was great. Food was as usual very good and value for money.

Great service with good quality food. The building and setting in Chester is lovely, very central and the atmosphere downstairs in the restaurant was just right. We would defiantly return

Nothing was too much trouble. Husband required a Gluten Free menu, lots of good choices available. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We will be going again.

Unfortunately the restaurant had changed their menu and the dish we selected was not very nice. I mentioned my disappointment to the waitress and she offered an alternative. We declined the offer so we were given complimentary desserts and coffee. We were treated very well by staff but disappointed with our main courses.

Good food, great atmosphere and all with superb service. Then there is the very reasonable price, what more could make a special occasion a memorable one.

Unfortunately our meal was a disappointment. We love Cote’s , but we booked a table and were shown upstairs to an empty restaurant no other diners and no staff . We asked to sit down stairs instead . Our waitress was so blunt and abrupt that it ruined our meal . She was lovely to the diners eithersude of us but awful to us . Just plonked our food infront of us not asking if we wanted condiments, when she cleared our starters she just said”finished?!” Who does that ? I asked for a particular liquor ina drinks I and was met with a puzzled face and she walked off !! . Very off hand and rude through out our meal . I had to return my steak as it was very chewy and well done . I did have a replacement . The bill came and she told me the steak had been removed it hadn’t . They charged me for 2 and removed one ... my replacement. I asked her about this and once again she looked puzzled and walked off ... again ! The manager did remove my steak but weshall not be returning as the attitude of the wIteess was beyond appalling. Very dissatisfied and disappointed

Very welcoming and helpful. Went with our 13month old and staff were very kind. He had food off the infants menu which he enjoyed, less salt would be appreciated though. Diolch yn fawr

Excellent French cuisine with very friendly service, in a restaurant set in a beautiful historic building. I would strongly recommend the crème caramel which was delicious.
