What a fabulous evening we had . It was my partners birthday and wanted something special. Having read reviews I decided to book it as a surprise for him. The restaurant was well laid out, soft lighting and not too noisy . The staff were excellent .. nothing was too much trouble. A comprehensive menu for both food and wine. Our dinner was superb cooked and served beautifully . The only thing I would change would be the background music. Some Parisian music would have added to the atmosphere and been more appropriate

Excellent food with very attentive staff. It all makes for a perfect setting for a wonderful meal.

Went twice to Cote Brasserie on a weekend visit to Chester and the staff were wonderful. They knew the menus very well, were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Menus were varied well priced, not expensive. Food and wine were excellent on each visit. Would recommend a visit.

Service and food excellent as usual. Have never been disappointed at this venue, also its nice to know the fixed gratuity goes to the staff

Lovely venue and service excellent. We had the early bird menu which was really good value and great if you're popping in after work or been out shopping. Staff friendly and attentive and food was really nice.

We received great service from friendly staff. The food was very nice, especially the starters and dessert. I highly recommend the Prawn Gratinee (provided you love garlic).

We received new December menu so visited chester cote once again. .As always was very pleased. .shame halibut had sold out .but definitely made up for it

Côte in Chester has a lovely atmosphere perfect for a long lunch. The staff are attentive and friendly. The lunch menu has plenty of choice and is great value, the food always tastes freshly made and not massed produce.

Lovely restaurant, lovely location, attentive staff and gorgeous food... best night out in ages We went on a Christmas shopping trip for the weekend and having been disappointed in several cities when it comes to dinner time and nothing booked, decided to book early... so glad we did.

Fabulous restaurant, great ambience, amazing service (despite the fact that it was a Saturday night and they were full - they were so considerate we might have been the only table there). One of the best meals I've had in a long time (fillet steak followed by chocolate mousse).

Food is excellent, service good and jovial, excellent meal all round, well worth a visit, also has a really nice warm atmosphere just do it

Main course was cold, had to send it back and wait for another. Partner had to eat alone so the whole experience was not good.

We had a lovely romantic meal in the restaurant, food was tasty but perhaps a little bland! Service was great and the restaurant quaint and surprisingly busy for a Sunday evening! Would recommend!

I booked on line and 24 hours before arriving and we were shown a seat upstairs with no one else around, why did i book this empty space? Zero atmosphere and constant passing of customers going to the WC. Presumably as they were experiencing the downstairs area. Tap water should not be served presented as complimentary to us and apple crumble should be served hot and not cool. Poor

Great food and excellent service. Good value for money. Will definitely be returning. This was my first visit recommended by friends and we went for the Early Bird menu. Every course was faultless.

Great service and atmosphere. Staff very helpful particularly with the wine selection. The starters were good if somewhat small but the mains made up for that as they were excellent and a full plate. Our friends were very complimentary on our choice. We would recommend this restaurant to any visitors to Chester who are happy to eat food with a French influence.

Our early evening meal was in a quiet Cote. We were greeted pleasantly and served promptly by pleasant, polite staff the 3 course early evening meal was tasty and good value we will return.

Very pleasantly surprised with Cote in Chester. I wasn't expecting Much from a chain I must admit. But the service was excellent. Rib eyes perfectly cooked and tender. Finished with a grandmarnier crepe with oranges and vanilla ice cream. Definitely go back. Highly recommend!

Really nice meal, good service, very pleasant staff. Surroundings very pleasant. We found our first cote restaurant in Lincoln, and our next trip away took us to Chester, so were pleased to find another one there. We'll look out for them again.

All 4 of us scraped our plates clean. All three courses delicious and hot, service very good, a lovely welcome when we arrived.Will be visiting again soon.

Superb food and an outstanding service. A Spanish waitress was particularly outstanding. We did not like the proposal to include a provisional addition of a 12.,5% service charge being added to the bill! We requested its removal.

Food quality & presentation spot on; extensive wine & drinks menu to include all tastes & budgets; attentive but unobtrusive staff; lovely restaurant with tasteful decor. Good choices on set weekday menu which changes each month, you do not get bored. Comprehensive a la carte menu too. Efficient service, welcoming staff and friendly ambiance.

The service was very bad. Champagne was poured and was spilt onto the table in both glasses by the waiter. This was followed by non existent chips, cold chips, the red wine we ordered with the main had to be ordered a second time as it didn't arrive. We were then advised the wine and chips would be take the bill and they weren't. We were then given a glass of desert wine each which we didn't ask for and don't like. All in all a disastrous birthday meal!!!! We won't be returning

Didn’t appreciate the 12.5% service charge. Staff friendly but there was a little too much of a hard sell on extra drinks, bread and olives - asked us a number of times before and after ordering. Food not too bad but wouldn’t rush to return.

Very good. The fish parmentier was slightly overdone and we had to get our own coats. Despite these comments it was very good but not excellent

We had the early evening menu which was good value with a nice choice of dishes. We were all very satisfied with our dishes and the service provided.

The food and service couldn't be faltered. The portion size for the price is very good as is the drinks prices. I will definitely be back!

We had a great time at this restaurant! We had exceptional service throughout the night and as it was our engagement night they had complimentary given us a glass of Kir Royale! I would definitely recommend this place!
