Côte Chester

Food was so tasty, we really enjoyed our dining experience at Cote Brasserie,Chester tonight. The service was excellent too, as are the surroundings. I love that it is in Bridge Street too

Excellent service and quality. The Bretton chicken is divine and brings back memories of holidays in France. Beautiful building with relaxed atmosphere. A must visit for everyone in Chester.

Starters came after 40 mins Mains came 10 seconds later 3 steaks and frites came barely warm. Fish dish came but not sides that were ordered. Steaks went back and new dishes appeared (a little warmer but not muchJ Sides appeared for fish dish after it being nearly eaten. Very in-experienced staff tried to flambe desserts at the table without much success, a little concerning for customers. Sides and desserts not charged for, but 12.5 service charge left on bill. (Not paid)

Lovely food, early diner menu is very good value. We had the house wine and that was very good too. The only down side is the service charge that is added onto the bill, I find this very annoying because if I want to leave a tip that is my choice.

The service’s good but a little bit slow. Can’t access to wifi at the back of restaurant. The food wasn’t really hot when it’s served.

Wonderful food, service and ambience :-) We'll definitely be going back there as there were many other dishes on the menu we want to try. Also a separate vegetarian menu, which sets them apart form other restaurants.

We had a small issue with meals not being hot when arrived but the restaurant dealt with the issue very well and returned fresh meals as soon as they could!

Food and service excellent. Only negative is that a service charge was added automatically and we do not like that at all. It is ourselves that decide if service is rewarded.

Great food first class service and consistent. Not many restaurants in Chester can say that. Ask for a downstairs table at the back. Very moody

Great food, good atmosphere, good service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, a warm welcome not a place I would take children but that can also be a plus. Will go again.

We were upstairs. Service was slower as evening progressed. Had to ask twice for second bottle of wine, one dessert arrived after everyone else had finished, then had to go find someone to pay the bill. Food ok but not memorable.

The food was very tasty and the fixed price menu great value. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Best flat white coffee I’ve had.

WE had pretty good experience. The food was pretty good although the starter was little overdone. The wine choice was excellent. Our only criticism was that the guy taking the orders was a little too pushy in suggesting add on's to our choices when it was clear to us that it was a restaurant strategy to omit 'greens' from the menu and then push the diner into ordering as extras.....a lot of other restaurants do the same thing so it was no big deal. Service was possibly a little quick and disjointed because our mains came before they had cleared the starter plates which is not ideal.

Excellent the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I have allergies and all my orders were taken by the manager which was really reassuring. They asked me if it was a special occasion , I was there with my daughter and best friend and I told them we were buying my mother of the bride outfit for my daughters wedding and they brought us some prosecco to celebrate. They were all so lovely and made the evening very special. We were all absolutely thrilled with the evening and would like to send our thanks to all the staff.

We had a lovely meal, the waitress was very attentive. There was a long wait between having the starter and the mains coming out, that we had nearly finished the bottle of wine.

Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, great service but experience was tarnished by waiter trying to take 12.5% gratuity on a bill for two without asking...happy to leave a tip but should be our discretion.

I have been to other Cote restaurants elsewhere in the country and always enjoyed the experience. Chester Cote did not disappoint with excellent food and service in a comfortable setting.

Good ambience, attentive staff, lovely food.wine list was quite extensive and at good price.only drawback was that we mistakenly ordered a dessert from a la Carte even thou it wasn't on prix fixe, which was what we meant. This wasn't pointed out until we came to pay. Would return.

Fab food and really friendly staff! Early evening set menu is amazing value 😀 All four of us enjoyed our menu choices. £21 each with an amazing bottle of vino too!

Small portions for the price on 2 courses for set price.Reasonable service from very polite staff. Tables quite close together so not a huge amount of privacy.

We had a straightforward 3 course meal, which was good, but the service made it excellent. Our waitress, Charlotte, was friendly, efficient, and attentive without being intrusive. The maitre d' was remarkable for his work rate - doing his job but also attending to anything which caught his eye, however minor - he never stopped. I'd certainly recommend Cote Chester, and will go again if ever we're in the area. Well done everyone.

Wonderful meal -- set menu excellent value for money. Will definitely return. Coq au vin and chocolate mousse were particularly tasty. Friendly staff. Do book in advance, popular place.

Excellent service and wonderful food. Menu offers a wide choice of food to appeal to different tastes and preferences. Good range of wines. Prices are very reasonable. Well worth visiting Chester Cote.

A refreshing concept with delicious food. In the times we have had lunch recently we have never been disappointed. The menu delivers delicious flavours without being complicated and in the true style of French cuisine. Will, I am sure, remain as one of our favourite venues

Fabulous service and food was cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend. Knowledge of gluten free/coeliac disease allowed me eat my meal without any concerns of becoming poorly after leaving! Best place we have eaten in a very long time!
