quick friendly service and good food. We ordered from the early bird menu and really liked the choice offered. My 11 year old found items she enjoyed too

We had been to Cote Brasserie before and enjoyed a very nice meal with excellent service, which is why we returned there six months later hoping to enjoy a similar experience. This time however we were very disappointed. The service was slow and disorganised,- it took us half an hour to get served a bottle of wine while we looked at the menu. By the time our starters arrived we had been waiting an hour. The food was OK and to be fair, the headwaiter apologised and said they were heavily booked, although it did not seem particularly full. There are many good eateries in Cirencester and I think we will be using others rather than returning to Cote Brasserie.

Excellent service by Erin, the duck confit was a little salty but that didn't deter us from the overall experience which was excellent was again. Simply the best restaurant in Cirencester in my considered opinion.

Booked a table for lunch at 11.30am but, when we arrived, was told that lunch wasn't available until 12pm. Not a great start. We were begrudgingly sat down but not allowed to order food until after 12pm. Service was a bit slow (saw a few tables leave out of frustration before ordering l) and we couldn't have dessert because we ran out of time (we were there for nearly 2 hours and had to leave for another appointment).

Once again, with two visits this week, outstanding food to choose from at a reasonable price in a great atmosphere. Both times, ate early and it was a good menu again this month, Excellent service too.

As usual the staff were most attentive and the food delicious, nothing was too much trouble. Eating in the courtyard on a warm summer evening was an additional delight.

Courteous and enthusiastic staff ensured that we were efficiently settled at our table with menus and given time to consider the menu before ordering. Food was good and delivered in a timely manner. Being a Saturday evening it did take a while to catch the eye of a waiter to get our bill.

First visit for MIL birthday, lovely atmosphere and a beautiful meal, however 3/6 guests ordered calamari for starters - all of which arrived cold. All mains were brilliant, and overall we decided we would visit again.

This was our second visit to Cote and we were looking forward to celebrating my wife's birthday. We enjoyed the main dish very much (veal and duck) but one of the desserts was very disappointing. It was supposed to be puff pastry apple tart but it looked like squashed leather and was almost impossible to cut with the spoon supplied. Disappointing. We'll go again but not with that dessert.

Food good as usual , service was disappointingly poor, at 6pm on a Saturday night. We waited 25 minutes for our starters , main came as soon as we put our cutlery down and then another long wait for dessert.

Fantastic food on the anniversary menu, and good, if slightly slow at time service. Maitre d' kindly moved us table for our first meal without the children to a quiet table rather than next to a family!

The main restaurant area was almost full, and was, therefore a touch noisy. The front of the restaurant was noticeably quieter. 12.5% optional gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Good food!

A benchmark for me is the number of choices on a menu I could go for. Dinner at Cote offered several choices of starters, mains and deserts, so full marks there! My wife and I chose the same starter, Gratin Prawns which we followed with excellent mains and deserts. The service was fast and friendly. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, Cote offers good food at good prices. No hesitation in recommending Cote Cirencester

Although our company was great, we were disappointed with Cote. After ordering each course, we would be told there were things we ordered that we couldn't have etc, so we'd have to change to something else! It would have been good if we were told this before we ordered our mains. This happened again at desserts. Although our server was friendly, and of course busy, we were often waiting for forgotten drinks etc - we were never rude about this, but it was very frustrating, especially after not being able to order the food we wanted. The atmosphere was nice and the food was okay, we were expecting something a bit more special, but we then realised Cote was quite a large chain etc so understood why it wasn't. Thank you for a nice evening, but not sure it's somewhere we'd chose again, but we shall see. Many Thanks harriet.faith@hotmail.co.uk

Very good, always has a vibrant atmosphere, staff are very nice but not pushy. Food as always was great. I wonder if you could add an English beer to the choice or a draft lager that can be served in a goblet style glass.

I meet 3 friends at Cotes Cirencester recently. We were given 'complimentary water', which was tap water. We felt it was pretentious calling it complimentary. We were sat next to the station where the waiter kept cutlery and it was quite noisy. The food was quite nice.

Consistently good food and good service at this buzzy restaurant. We go at least once a month to taste the 'specials' - they change monthly, and are always interesting takes on French Brasserie fare.

The Food was excellent and our waiter was a delight, the staff are always pleasant. The creme brûlée was first class. On the downside the kir royal was more like rose champagne and we were left to fill our wine glasses ourselves, but you won't be disappointed if you go to cotes.
