The food was average, the service good but the restaurant was a little noisy.I will most probably go there again as I am fan of Cote.

A favourite of ours because the service, menu choices and value for money are simply fantastic. Cote's pre/post theatre menu is the best in terms of choice, quality and price that we've ever found in any London restaurant.

Always very accommodating, able to jig the tables around at short notice to fit you in. Friendly, fast moving restaurant in the thick of it near all the theatres, so goes very quiet at 19:30.

Service good. Problem with card payment machine so we had to pay in cash. A bit stressful as we were going straight on to the theatre. Lucky we had £180.00 cash with us!!

Service was excellent, friendly, efficient and tolerant with oldies such as us. Food was fairly standard for the bill we paid. We would happily return.

Good food reasonable price friendly quick service. They gave us a table by an open window/door which kept us cool. Inevitably a bit noisy with so many happy people.

Excellent food and service. In addition good value for money. We often use a Cote Brasserie for pre or post theatre meals and can highly recommend the chain.

Went for a pre theatre meal. The restaurant was very busy, but the service & food was excellent & to the same standard received at an outer London branch. There were a number of waiters available & requests were responded to quickly. There was plenty to choose from the theatre menu, which was good value & available until 7pm.

Lunched with my sisters and had the 2 Course deal which is very good value. Service was attentive but intrusive and the ambience was of a friendly busy restaurant

Well up to its usual high standard as one of the best examples of a good value chain of restaurants. Food well presented and well cooked. Pre theatre menu remains really excellent value and service friendly and efficient, if sometimes a bit under pressure. Great place for theatre land eating

The food and service at Cote is always great. The only problem at this branch is that the table wasn't ready and there is nowhere to wait, so it was very cramped.

Service and food were both great. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 6 is that the side of glazed carrots we ordered only arrived after we'd finished eating, which was a shame as the rest of the food was so good. We did get them on the house but it was disappointing they weren't ready with the rest of the food.

The meal was delicious and service prompt. We ordered the recommended wine of the month and enjoyed it very much. The only downside was that the waiter forgot to bring the bread until after the food had arrived. We no longer wanted it but it still appeared on the bill. We then had to wait while the cost was deducted. This is not the first time this has happened at different branches of Cote.

We had a lovely meal there last night, as always! The only disappointment was the offer of the Kir Royals which I hadn't realised I needed to book ahead of the meal I was celebrating my birthday with friends slightly ahead of the date as we will be abroad then. I did ask the waiter if we could still take advantage of the free glass each but he wasn't able to do that. :(

Enjoyed a nice pre theatre lunch with friends. All our food was very good and one of our party was gluten free. The restaurant was able to offer the complete menu gluten free which is unusual. A it noisy as it was full. Obviously popular and good value for money

Food good, but service a little slow. Overall a good choice to meet friends visiting from New Zealand. V busy at 6.30 but thinned out so the noise level dropped and we could hear ourselves talk.

We are big supporters of Cotes, lovely food, great atmosphere, but unfortunately that day the service was extremely slow. We had to wait very long periods which was not very professional. Overall, that day the whole experience was ok to good, not excellent.

I often book at this branch of Cote when going to theatre in the area. It is quite noisy, which is due to its being busy, no doubt. This time our member of staff was not very good and service was not up to the usual standard at this branch. Food was fine and in general good value for money.

My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our formule breakfast. I had the French one and the boudin noir was delicious. We both thought the scrambled eggs were particularly good. One teeny problem, the waiter did not tell like us he had brought jam and with everything on the table we didn't notice it until we had finished. My friend would very much have liked to put jam on her toast. Otherwise all good.

We had the pre-theatre menu. Up to its usual good standard, although risotto had too much pepper. Service is slower than it used to be. We guess each waiter has more tables to cover than previously.

We are regular users of Cote in other places but were meeting some overseas visitors in town at short notice and chose this one. Staff friendly, particularly for an inner city venue, service good and food as usual. Ambience different from other Cote's though, more 1970s English than French.

We booked for an early sitting as we were due to carry on to the theatre, and chose from the set-price menu. The food was all delicious and arrived in good time, without being too rushed. There were occasions however when I thought that more staff were necessary. This is a very busy restaurant and the waiters were rushed off their feet. It was sometimes hard to attract their attention to order more drinks, or ask for the bill. Having said that, they were still very friendly and efficient, but it did mean that there were some delays beyond their control.

Service efficient and friendly and food lovely. The only down side was being seated in the basement, which was windowless and lacked the atmosphere of the main restaurant area. The one waiter serving this section did a remarkable job, and his charismatic, cheerful manner, lifted the ambience.

I like Cote and the St Martins Lane branch in particular - very convenient for the theatres. Had pre-matinee lunch with friends. Service good though not easy to attract attention for the bill - this might have been an issue if we were pressed for time. We all had starters and mains - all starters good, two mains good but two of us had chicken, Roquefort and walnut salad - chicken minced and unappetising and we had one piece of cheese each! This dish might need a rethink.....unusual for Cote to get it wrong, and we will certainly return.
