Côte - Covent Garden

The fixed price menu is good value for central London. We had a three course meal for four with a bottle of wine for under £90 including service. The food was well presented and the service unobtrusive.

Arrived with friend for pre theatre menu. Both knew what we wanted straightaway so gave our full order. Steak and chips arrived - good but not as hot as I would like and plate not warm. Then waited long time for dessert - apple crumble and ice cream which I love. It took so long we did not have time to eat it because we needed to leave for the theatre. I missed my crumble! I enjoy this menu and eat at Cote about once per month. I was a bit disappointed this time.

The Food was excellent , as always. The service was very rushed, appreciate it was very busy , hence only giving a rating of 4.

The meal and wine were excellent as ever. The selection on the menu is always very comprehensive and I think overall Cote offers extremely good value as a dining venue.

Although the restaurant was very busy with pre theatre diners the food was good, and the staff, especially our waitress in the small room downstairs, were extremely efficient and pleasant.

We went mid afternoon, between theatre crowds and it was a very relaxing experience. Staff were very patient as one of our party was half an hour late, and food turned up in good time and piping hot. Very friendly wait staff. Have visited this branch of Cote before and will go again.

Excellent pre theatre menu with a varied choice for each course but cramped seating arrangement and very noisey. Difficult to hear across the table. Excellent service and friendly staff.

Had a lovely round table by window to start but had to move because of draft from door. Food was lovely. Service average, too much chatter amongst staff.

terrrific staff, they did make a mistake witht the order but apologised sorted it very quickly and took the proce off the bill. very happy evening

Cote always serves up a good standard of food. This visit was no exception. But the restaurant was full and noisy. Service was also slow as a result and had to be asked for each time we wanted any. All of that is rather unusual for Cote, but I guess it was school holiday time.

Our booking was for 1745 and we arrived at 1740 (approx). We were expected and were whisked off to a table. The sun was shining, it was the Easter holidays and a Thursday, which could only mean one thing! A heaving restaurant! The service was first class, the food was delicious and, despite the number of people, the atmosphere relaxed. A delight.

Our first experience at Cote, which we very much enjoyed. The choices in each course was excellent, the quality of the food and the presentation also excellent , as was the service. one very small issue , space was limited due to tables being very close. understandable given the number of customers ,I guess. But it will not stop us from returning .

excellent dinner and very welcoming staff...nice ambiance . Also the wine list was good and the Fleurie was very drinkable. Enjoyed the whole evening very much as did my partner for dinner.

Food and service good but restaurant very busy and extremely noisy so that conversation was difficult as it was so difficult to hear what our party was saying even at a table for four.

The food was fabulous and different. The staff were all pleasant. There was a great buzzing atmosphere to the place. We will definitely go again.

Great value for money, excellent and attentive service. Ordered pre-theatre and food was timed excellently considering we were there at the busiest time. Well situated for theatres so perfect find - the steak and frites is just the best I've had outside France!

Friendly and efficient staff; good, reliable, basic brasserie food; a lively but relaxing ambience. I woukd definitely return and definitely recommend to friends and family.

Excellent and prompt service even though it was busy. Delicious meal. Although it was very crowded and tables were very close together, the staff managed extremely well. I can highly recommend particularly for a pre-show meal

Service good apart from non delivery of water after three separate requests. Food good. Reasonably priced meal. Draughty seating by door but swift delivery of food as requested. Friendly staff.

The food was excellent and very good value for money. The service was friendly and helpful but a bit slow. This didn't matter as we were not in a hurry, but we often had to ask twice.

No warm welcome as usually given. Waited AGES to be offered menus and be served, on the point of walking out. Food was delicious though.

The team at Côte Brasserie - Covent Garden - Tavistock Street should be very pleased - they provided an extremely quick service. The food was excellent and very good value.

Food & service were very good. We all enjoyed it and it was special being Mother's Day. My meal came later than the others but the staff were very attentive and I was given olives while I waited.

We were going to see 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane The Cote in Tavistock Street is just opposite once again the most enjoyable lunch, Excellent food, fabulous service, It really put us in the mood for the show. and made for a perfect day.

It's a very busy restaurant and everyone is rushed. But the service is very fast and the staff are super friendly. Great price for pre-theatre menu. We'll be back.

An incredibly warm welcome from all the staff. Food piping hot and served quickly. First bottle of white wine was room temperature but on request was changed for a chilled bottle. An excellent pre theatre venue.

Good food but particularly lovely friendly and helpful waitress. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she served 12 of us with charm and fun.

My daughter and I had a very pleasant meal last evening after a matinee at the theatre. I am a regular at Tavistock street and always find the staff happy and helpful and the food is very good. Adele

Very busy and buzzy restaurant. Food good and friendly service on the many occasions we have dined here. Recommend for pre or post theatre dining or if just strolling in Coventry Garden.

The food was all very good and served nice and hot, there is a good choice and the set menu is an absolute bargain. We only had 1 downside and that was 1 of our group was forgotten about as their main course didnt turn up until the rest of had all finished. The waiting staff dont write any orders down, which is fine if they can remember everything, but this has happened to us before so whats wrong with pen and paper?

The food was great, the service excellent but there were really too many tables and we felt hemmed in by other diners. And staff had problems navigating around tables.

We reserved a table for 2 for 1.15pm, got there at 1pm and only had to wait about 5 minutes to get our table. The menu is great, do ask for Pre-Theatre or Weekly Lunch/Early Dinner Menu (depending on where you are, it's the same menu but called differently) as they offer 2 or 3 courses for exceptional price. We ordered all 3 courses at the same time, which might have been a mistake - we got our starters (overly delicious, really great!) and then waited 30 minutes before our server went down to the kitchen and realised they must have not seen our order. We did get offered free drinks on the house as compensation, which was great. Mains were again good food, but we waited an extra 10 minutes on our dessert due to the kitchen having not seen that either - which got us a coffee/tea on the house each. So overall great food, decent portion sizes for the price and amazing customer service - only next time we wouldn't mind getting the food quicker.

Service was good, well attendance from staff. Good food & ambience. Menu was varied, catered for everyone in our group, very reasonable in price , would go again.

Greeted at the front door with a smile and quickly shown to our table. The waiter Arnas was very good and attentive. Wine was great as was the starter, dinner and dessert. A most enjoyable dinner. Have already planned to meet friends there again in just over a week.

great service and great food as usual. we always go to cote for pre-theatre dinner as great value for money and the food is always delicious.
