Shown to lovely table straight away. Friendly staff, good food which in my opinion all adds up to a great experience. Have visited here before & it never fails to disappoint.
The restaurant was very busy at time of visiting - staff excellent though they could probably do with a little more help at busy times.
On arrival staff were very welcoming & friendly which continued during our stay. Food was very good & we enjoyed our dinner before going to the theatre.
My friends and I were meeting for a leisurely lunch in Covent Garden. We chose Cote and couldn't have been better pleased. We were greeted and taken to our booked table by friendly staff, given time to settle and not rushed over our deliberations. The menu had a wide range, and so too the wine list. Our food was delicious and we were not hurried off our table but able to sit and chat very comfortably without feeling unwanted. Friendly and capable waiters. A very good experience which I will most definitely repeat.
Our server was great, cheerful and polite. I thought the tables were rather close together. The set menu was varied and the meal chosen delicious.
Great service, lovely food, In and Out in one hour to the Theatre with 10 minutes to spare. Fantastic value for central London. Bravo Cote
Fixed price lunch was good value for money. The service was efficient and friendly even though the restaurant was busy. The decor was pleasant and although the restaurant was operating to maximum capacity, noise levels never became intrusive and the there always seemed to be a comfortable amount of space around the seating arrangements.
Food good as always. Airless restaurant. No windows open or A/C. So good I will be there again on Saturday with a party of 6.
Lovely food, took some time but it was expected for a pre-theatre time. Would highly reccomend before a show, really close too all the theatres
Delicious food: we had a combination of calamari and crab followed by an excellent ribeye steak. Very pleasing service provided by cheerful and knowledgeable staff who were particularly helpful over the choice of wine. The ambience was breezy. All in all an excellent experience.
Very good food very nice restaurant pre theatre menu very good value for money. Was very busy but was a Saturday night. Would visit again
Very good food and good quality wine. We found the staff both delightful and efficient. The restaurant is in a very convenient position and competitively priced. We will come again.
It was very full and noisy, but our food came quickly and the staff worked very hard. All seemed friendly and charming given the hectic situation. The food was also good. I enjoyed my seabass and Basil mash. Thank you.
the service was good the food was fabulous the wine was great and the company was even better a perfect end to perfect the day
My main course was luke warm but soon rectified by the efficient waiting staff This is a very busy restaurant so expect reasonable noise level
Looked after very well, but my first course of calamari was over cooked, there were three in our party & everone else enjoyed their meals.
Good food at a good price but out of all Cortes in London this one feels very much as though you are packed in like sardines, everything feels a bit rushed , but service is good as is food and obviously it is in a very busy area.
Good and service excellentSeating a little snug.Difficult to hold conversation as noisy.Love linen serviettes.Good range in menu and prices fair. Will repeat experience at another venue.
This restaurant offered good food, had enough space to have a conversation without being drowned by too much noise, was not expensive and is in a great location. In short, a good venue for what proved to be a pleasant and productive one hour business lunch.
Good service, decent food and good value pre theatre menu. Ideal for the Lyceum or the Theatre Royal Drury lane. Booking recommended if you're seeing a show as it can get busy.
The food & initial ambience was good but dulled a little as we felt we were being processed, the starters came before we had had more than a couple of minutes with the olives and bread and then we were left with the impression our table was required when the maitre de came round with his iPad checking on progress and when asked if we were sure we did not require coffee, we declined as we were finishing off a bottle of wine, the next question was can I bring you the bill? Overall a three course meal with a bottle of wine with entrées was over in a little over an hour - so as experiences go, it was fleeting!
As always the meal and the service were excellent and my two guests enjoyed the experience of dining there.Of course it is always busy there even at 5-15pm and a bit noisy but one must expect that in the West End otherwise it was all very enjoyable.
Service was a bit slow and in the end we had to leave quickly as we were going to see a show. I thought the bill was a bit high but didn't have time to check it. When I looked at the bill later we had been overcharged. We were charged for 2 pre theatre 2 course meals and my elderly Mother only had a bowl of soup. The food was excellent as usual and the staff were all super friendly.
Very noisy and we had to wait over 45 mins for our lunch to arrive. This in our experience is unusual for Cote. Meal very good when it did finally arrive.
Excellent food and service for a pre-theatre dinner. Location opposite the Druty Lane theatre was perfect. Would definitely eat here again. Buzzy atmosphere too which was fun.
We were celebrating our mum's birthday at Cote in Covent Garden. We raised our glasses to wish our mum a happy birthday, and the waitress very kindly wished her birthday too. After our delicious main courses the staff then brought our mum a dessert with a candle in and sang happy birthday; we had not pre-ordered this so it was a very kind surprise. Thank - you!
Had a good time and all very helpful Enjoyed food and wine. Service good and relaxed atmosphere and good position of restaurant near Covent Garden.
Totally enjoyed it. Great food and ambiance, wonderful service by Emanuele. Perfect for pre-theater. We would recommend it and even go back if in London again.
Good food, but restaurant rather cramped and noisy. I use Cote frequently, and often have the same dish. Cooking at Covent Garden was best I have had.
Nice place , friendly helpful staff , eaten here a few times now each time has been very good this time was special as my girlfriend left a gift that I had bought her on the table ! we didn't realise until we were at the station ,so she called the restaurant , they had her gift which she picked up the next day , Thank you it was a special gift .
Lovely dinner, very attentive and helpful staff. I will certainly be returning when I am next in London. I have enjoyed Cote in other cities and it is always of a high standard
Great atmosphere, good tasty food well presented and happy staff. We were with our friends made very welcome, which made for a most enjoyable evening together.
We were greeted well and the first pre-theatre couse arrived very promptly but we waited an age for our minute steaks. The food itself was good and the waiter did as well as he could.
Always a nice evening at core restaurants, staff are always friends and food enjoyable. House red wasn't great in this occasion but that was the only disappointment
Affordable central London restaurant with good service. Slight mix-up with Gluten Free order - was quickly resolved. Would return again if in the Covent Garden area.
Lovely place, good atmosphere and the food was very nice. The food did take just a little too long be served and although the waiters were very nice they weren't particularly attentive and we did have to grab their attention a few times to clear plates, get the bill etc.
Lovely meal. I had the warm beetroot salad followed by the Beef Bourguignon, both were delicious. My husband had the pre-theatre menu, pea and mint soup, followed by steak and chips and then the creme caramel. He said his was also delicious. Good value - meals plus 2 bottles of wine - £90 - can't fault that
Atmosphere and buzz was great. Food tasty although starter was warm rather than hot. Did feel a little rushed that they want you in and out quickly. Good service.
was very pleased with the welcoming service and how quickly the food and drink arrived. The food steak and chips was delicious and overall we thought very good value for money. Will definitely visit again when next in London.
Food and service very good. Only downside was the table we were seated at in a very cramped corner.....no room for staff or customers to get round us and right by the main door .....so had curtain blown onto us every time the door opened.....so frequently!!
We had a great time. The service was particularly good. It was our friend's birthday and we had brought a cake and candles and our waitress got a group together to bring out the cake and sing happy birthday which we really appreciated. The food was delicious.
As we were going to the theatre we chose from the pre theatre menu which was only 12.50 for two courses, absolute bargain & great food. We told our waiter that we were going to the theatre & the food came out very promptly. Great food great service
Great location for our Theatre visit , speedy service. Pre theatre menu good, however small portions. Cramped seating arrangement , very close to next Diners. We were joined by another guest , who was told he couldn't have a hot choice from the menu as he was not included in my original booking !!!!!!That was disappointing.
We always choose Cote because the food, the staff and the service are excellent. This branch is very convenient for theatres and the Rewards scheme is a bonus.
Fab food & fab freindly service. And we got to theatre in time. Great value for the money. Will go again & again & again.
Food was very good and excellent value. Chose the house rose wine again exceptional value for the price. It was a busy time of day but food was served in good time. Staff friendly. The ladies toilets were cramped and one cubicle not particularly clean.
Great place very friendly and helpful staff . Excellent price and location to celebrate our girls day out . Food good as always . We will return .
Great food and service. Friendly staff and good quality food and atmosphere. Made a pre theatre meal special. Good menu range, choice and good price.
Arrived at 14. 15, as booked in advance, for a meal prior to going to the Royal Opera House for a performance at 16.00. Didn't seem to be very busy - plenty of tables available unlike when we book for a n early evening meal. Service was slow from the start and at first that was not a matter of concern as we had allowed plenty of time. Waiter was however unsmiling and surly when we declined wine - not wanting to fall asleep in the theatre. We waited ages for each course and two of the meals were cool by the time they arrived, but by now it was getting too late to complain. We had to find the waiter for the dessert menu which was given with bad grace, but at 15.40 had to ask for the bill and decline the puddings which were rushed up the stairs by the manager who tried to persuade us to eat them. We had ordered chocolate pot, Creme caramel and berries- so why on earth it took so long to produce them, heaven only knows. We had by now made it plain that we were attending a theatre performance but there didn't seem to be any understanding that you will not be admitted once a performance has started - and you are serving meals in an area surrounded by theatres. Manager realised they had been careless and offered us free desserts on the next visit. Realise now that we also paid the 'voluntary 'service charge which was not in the least deserved. This is a system we deplore but reluctantly accede to when food, service etc is excellent as it generally is at this restaurant. Given the fact I had booked for the three of us several days in advance, the experience was a shambles and we arrived for the performance feeling rushed, and having no time, either to deposit coats in the cloakroom so we sat with them bundled aroun us in a hot auditorium, or to enjoy the pre- performance atmosphere, or to reserve interval drinks. I would also add that two of us are well past the first flush of youth so prefer not to have to rush. Very disappointing, Cote, particularly when we have tended to prefer you from the many restaurants around.
My friends and I are now in out sixties. We have grown up together but now live so far apart. When we get together for our "lushes lunch" we always choose Cote as the menu is great and you have one of our favourite wines. Thanks.
