Was told could not mix special menu with a la carte. Have done so in other Cote branches. Sirloin steak asked to be well done, arrived medium. Due to personal circumstances could not complain. Also very noisy due to poor acoustics.

The food was nice bit the service was a bit lacking. There were 4 of us on a small round table and very little space. Bottles and sauces were not cleared very quickly and cluttered up the table. Two water bottles on a small table is a bit unnecessarily but they only hold enough for two glasses! We had to ask for the fourth starter to be brought out and then when the bill came they had already added a service charge (my pet hate).

Busy with a good atmosphere for a Tuesday. Food was very good especially the belly pork. Service was also good. We will return, though I dislike the mandatory adding of 12.5% service charge, they are not the only ones to do this but I believe it should be totally discretionary.

Our table was ready when we arrived. Even though they were extremely busy, service throughout the meal was quick, servers were polite, cheerful and smartly dressed. We had a wide variety of dishes from all parts of the menu and all of them were extremely tasty, well prepared, cooked and presented. A pleasure to eat there

The staff were as welcoming and efficient as usual. Don't know if there was a different chef: the chicken breast was slightly tough (?overcooked?), and the provencale sauce a bit watery.

Starters lovely, my main bland. Waiter dropped my husbands on the table and didn't offer any more. We had a bowl of salad and it was just lettuce leafs.

Service is always excellent at this reastaurant and we love the ambience but just some finer details we're missing. We now have to pay extra for the potatoes with our main meals, portion sizes were smaller and no garnish with the starters. We still would recommend this restaurant and we will be returning.

Food was good although having to pay extra for veg and garlic butter on an £18 steak then adding 25% charge onto the bill I feel leaves a bitter taste and i can go for a better steak with all sides for a lot less and I can see trade dwindling away unfortunately

Cannot fault Cote Brasserie Dorchester. Not a bad word to say. Staff, food and atmosphere are always spot on! The restaurant is clean, fresh food and great value for money!

Booked a table for my finance and I here and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It wasn't like any of its neighbouring chain restaurants in the complex where it's located. I had the charcuterie board as my starter which was extremely tasty , my fiance had asparagus with hollanaise sauce and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. For mains I had the duck breast in a cherry sauce which was beautifully tasty and succulent and my fiance had the pork belly which was divine. Desserts we had chocolate mousse and creme brulee and they were the perfect end to our meal. We will definitely be back

Very disappointing meal tonight, poor, slow service and overlooked food. Not the usual standards we have come to expect from cote. Not busy either so no excuse.

Excellent meal with good service. Duck was particularly good and chocolate moose superb. Was very busy so service only rated good as had to ask for cutlery and remind waiter about olives we ordered.

This was our first visit to Côte Brasserie in Dorchester but it certainly won't be our last. The menu was extensive but not overwhelming; the service was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. This, together with a vibrant buzz in the restaurant made for a really lovely evening. Would thoroughly recommmend it.

As always, in Dorchester, quick, friendly service,food good and wines drinkable. It is a light , clean and pleasantly decorated restaurant, with a good outside terrace, near to the station and town centre.
