Côte Dorchester

Perfectly nice breakfast but I do object to 12.5% service charge being automatically added. I was happy with our meal and was going to tip but then declined to do so out of principle. Silly policy.

Staff excellent as usual, but, for once, we had to wait quite a long time for our main course (the restaurant was not particularly busy), and the food appeared rather dry as though it had been kept standing for too long. This is most unusual, as generally we are very happy with everything: maybe the chef was having a bad day!

Waitress seemed to be trying to rush us out of restaurant. She served main course before we.d finished the starter we had to clear table to make space for all the plates ! Also not keen on the optional gratuity being added to the bill in our case nearly came to£ 14 which considering the service we had received was insulting .

Beautiful food served by lovely staff. Fabulous. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. A very good menu with something to suit everyone. Not expensive either, perfect.

Good service, unhurried, relaxed and polite. The chicken was a bit dry, but otherwise tasty. The cappuccino was not hot enough for my particular taste.Good gluten free menu was much appreciated.

Food was great but service went downhill after the majority of the staff seemed to disappear! Took 40 mins to come and clear out main course plates and no extra drinks were offered at all! We paid and left without dessert and coffee! Shame as it was a belated Mother's Day treat as we all work in hospitality!

Lovely food, helpful staff, not rushed during our meal but tables too close together, we could hear other couples conversations clearly!! Please consider separating the tables apart more.

A very enjoyable evening at Cote Brasserie, Dorchester. We were greeted promptly on arrival by a very friendly member of staff and everything flowed from that in the same way. The food was good as well.

The restaurant was good, we come here a lot and wish the menu changed a bit more, the specials are a bit uninspiring and we find the service rushed. It's nice but not special.

Good food and service. Pre 7pm menu good value for money. Only negative was receiving an email from telling me the restaurant no longer had a table!! Might not have even visited!! However, phone call to restaurant resolved issue!

Convenient location, good ambience, efficient service, lovely food, lots of choice and good value. Especially enjoyed breakfast there. well worth a visit if you are in the area

We enjoyed another very nice meal at Cote. The restaurant was busy, which is obviously a good sign, but it was therefore at times a little noisy. In all other respects we were really pleased - especially the attention to my husband's needs as a coeliac - therefore needing to be strictly gluten free. He had a good choice - even a choice of desserts and a started which featured bread - both of which are unusual

As always a really lovely meal with excellent service. They always allow the meal to go at our pace so we have the chance to relax and enjoy our wine between courses. It is always a pleasure to eat at Cote in Dorchester.

The food was excellent with a good choice, the service was good but we did feel a little rushed, this was probably because they were trying to serve everyone before the 7pm deadline for the meal deal. Will definitely book again and recommend to friends

The service at Cote is always excellent and this visit was no exception, even after what appears to have been a busy Mother's Day session. Food too was up to its normal standard. An enjoyable evening. Thank you.

We took my sister in law for dinner on her Birthday. They came with a glass of bubbly when we arrived, which was lovely. The service and meal were excellent, even though it was very busy, we could not fault anything! When it came to dessert the staff arrived with a candle in the Birthday pudding and sang happy birthday. A great evening and would definitely return.

Very nice 'Champagne Breakfast' for Mothers Day. My mum being traditional at 86 does not like the 12.5% 'optional gratuity' being added to the bill before we have said whether service was good. However, we have never had anything other than great service at 'Cote' in Dorchester.

It's a great place to eat. The staff are wonderful, food is beautiful with sensible sized portions and of good quality! Price is reasonable. 4 of us ate there today, drinks, main course, dessert and coffee each and it was under £20 each. Will keep coming back . Only thing, some background music at low volume would be good.

Excellent food, great service and friendly atmosphere. We will certainly come again and will recommend it to our friends. The waiting staff were very good.

Having eaten in other Cote Restaurants I found this meal of a lower standard than usual. The whitebait I chose as a starter was very "soft" with little evidence of a light batter and the breaded chicken for the main course was dry as a result ,I felt, of over cooking. We were "treating " a friend to a meal out and I felt it would be inappropriate to complain. Normally Cote is so reliable so I was disappointed.

Good service and quality food. Wine a bit overpriced. Overall Value for money and a regular place for us to eat at. Happy with experience.

Had the special breakfast...amazing veggie breakfast with toast,pot of tea and orange juice for £9.95....one of the best I've ever had! We'll be back for sure.

An all-round enjoyable experience. The food and wine was very tasty and the staff were very attentive. It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary and therefore a special occasion.

Very dissapointed about the gratutity fee at 12.5 and the food was ok. The fee puts me off tipping and i know you mention on your menus but dont liked to be forced.

The food was lovely as always but we found the service a bit too quick; there wasn't much time between our starter and main course. Also, when I booked online, I did state it was my husband's birthday but nothing was mentioned at all - usually there's the offer of a glass of bubbly!! Slightly disappointed on this occasion but I'm sure it won't stop us going again as the food is so good!

Difficult to beat Côte for a combination of quality, price and friendly, efficient service. I've eaten here a few times already, and the food has been consistently good. Plus it's located in a great place - on Brewery Square. So the outside tables are in high demand in the summer. The menus seem to change quite frequently and overall it's a restaurant where you feel instantly at ease and where nothing disappoints.

Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff were very efficient and our food arrived promptly. Food was delicious and we felt well well taken care of.

We found the menu interesting and where very satisfied with the presentation, quantity and taste of the three courses. The dishes were served promptly and without delay.

As always an excellent visit, great food, wonderful service. The biggest problem is what to choose from the extensive menu. Should it be the delicious food enjoyed on the last visit, or something new. Cote appears to have cornered the market when it comes to a polite, chearful, helpful staff. We love it, so we are sure would anyone else, who enjoys supurb value for money food, served in a pleasant atmosphere, by cheerful, helpful staff.

Good choice of food on the menu and well cooked. Steaks were cooked just right.. Attentive, friendly staff but never felt rushed. The early evening menu is good value .

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were very pleased with the choice on the menu, very pleasant and professional waitress,quality of the food and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. A very enjoyable evening had by all.

I've been to other Cote Brasserie and I don't think the chicken that I had was conjured very well. In my opinion it was overcooked, having said that the staff were very good so I may be tempted to come back again

Meal was good quality, but special menus represent much better value for money. The house white wine was excellent. Service was fast, but did not handle situation well when they knocked glass of wine over- no like for like replacement offered. I don't like the 'optional' 12.5% service charge being automatically added to the bill.

Surprisingly poor food this time (we are regular customers in what is usually a reliable restaurant). Steak and duck undercooked, insufficient pepper sauce and the pudding’s chocolate sauce barely warm. However management dealt with my complaints appropriately and reduced my bill accordingly. On the otherhand my first experience of using Quandoo was good.

The staff are always very helpful and the standard of food is always excellent. The Dorchester branch is very popular and well rated for value for money.

Turned up half an hour early and was quickly accommodated. Service at a comfortable pace. Food was OK, my wifes' fish good, my beef bourguignon a bit tired. Restaurant became full but service remained calm and courteous.
