Côte Edinburgh

Overall experience was excellent. One small criticism was that the fish pie (parmentier) whilst delicious, was too small a portion on it's own. it would have benefitted from a side of carrot & broccoli or some other vegetable. I was still hungry after the starter & the main. To be fair, when I did point this out to staff & order a side of chips, they didn't charge for the chips.

Enjoyed Cote from moment entered staff attentive food first-class atmosphere is very relaxing .creme caramel delicious. Service is well organized and swift. Well worth a visit.

Food was lovely. Staff amazing. We've been here many times and would recommend it. Marked down slightly as we were originally seated in a very noisy area at the back amongst a large and noisy family pre wedding day get together. They were having a great time but we couldn't hear each other. The staff were amazing and moved us to a table nearer the front which was perfect - thank you!

Service excellent as usual. 14 in our party and everyone was highly satisfied. We have been to York, Cambridge and Lincoln restaurants and have been happy with the food and service in all.

Lovely relaxed lunch with a gorgeous blood orange martini as an apperatif. Separate gluten free menu offering a wide range of choices so my gluten free dining companion did not feel short changed. Food lovely as ever.

Such a wonderful evening! This was the best dinner experience that we have had in the more than two weeks that we have been in the UK! The atmosphere was superb, the food was delicious, the service was excellent! A truly enjoyable dinner. Thanks so much!

The staff are always welcoming and try to give us the table we want. The food is good quality and well cooked and presented. However, sometimes the vegetables are too al dente! We visit most weeks as we live in Edinburgh. We recommend Cote to friends too.

Everything was excellent. Staff were very attentive, the food arrived quickly and was exceptional. I needed a gluten free meal and the staff were really helpful. It was very quiet (possibly due to the fact that we were there mid afternoon) which meant there wasn’t a huge atmosphere in the restaurant.

Easy to book and always fabulous food at a great price. Delicious . I love the French onion soup with the cheese but I wouldn't want to sit opposite me whilst I'm eating it!

My friend and I had a lovely late lunch here. The staff and food were very good. We had an enjoyable time.

Had fantastic lunch. Food excellent, service very good. Little bit noisy but didn't detract from a lovely meal. The set menus mean on tight budget you can still get a delicious meal.

The member of staff who looked after our party of 8 could not have done ore to ensure we enjoyed the menu and facility, she was brilliant. The choice of food was excellent and wine choices more than adequate, in a lively, busy restaurant.

Very good initial service and excellent with my celiac gluten free requirements. Understood need for gluten free flags for cook/serving staff but maybe remove when given to customer. Due to seemed shortage of staff when restaurant got busy less attentive. However, would return and recommend Cote.

Fantastic food, really good service where you are not fussed on too much, left to enjoy food and have conversations but checked on at the right time. I am savouring the tasty food, crab, duck and creme Carmel. It was all perfect, we’ll be back

There is a varied and interesting menu and food was delicious. Very pleasant and welcoming service. Certainly worth a return visit. Good location in Edinburgh city centre.

Had dinner at Côte Edinburgh last night for the first time. We loved everything about it! The menu was fabulous, difficult to decide what to eat due to excellent variety of choice. The food did not disappoint, everything was delicious. Every member of staff was welcoming and very attentive. I also loved the decor, and felt that I was sitting in an authentic French brasserie. This will definitely be a regular haunt!

We were a table of 4. 2 had never visited a Cote before and were very impressed by the menu and quality of the food, and said they would visit again.

My partner and I really enjoyed our visit - food and experience.

Food was excellent, first waiter was lovely but waiter who served the wine, dessert and coffees made a sarcastic remark about the wine choice. I asked him to remove the service charge then he tried to put the full amount including service on the bill. Now I am home I notice I have been charged for the complimentary Negronis - very poor!

As always the food and drink was beautifully presented with excellent service. I particularly liked the flower in my drink. We will definitely be heading back soon.

Very tasty meal early evening at Côte. We have never been disappointed when eating here. Cocktail, two courses, glass of wine and coffee - served by attentive, friendly staff - what more could you want?!

Great welcome from lovely staff, at the table of my choice, absolutely scrumptious free French 75 celebratory drink and then a perfect meal followed by a delightful espresso - what’s not to like?

I had lunch at Cote with my publisher, who loves French food; she really rated Cote's cuisine. Having worked in France for seven years, I would agree that the cuisine and the atmosphere were pretty authentic. We particularly liked the French onion soup and the Sea Bass. We did not try the wine list, but only because it was a hot day. Instead we drank delicious cranberry juice. The coffee was good, too. There was a bit of a wait between starters and main course,, but we were so enjoying our conversation that we did not mind. In general the staff are charming and friendly.

A 'go to' favourite, Cote Edinburgh is in a brilliant location, has a lovely Parisian cafe feel, great and attentive service and superb food every time!

Lovely meal quick service and friendly staff in a charming building and central location. I’m sure we will be back next time we visit Edinburgh!

I ordered a starter and a side for my main and intended to have it with my husband who ordered a main course. The starter arrived but not the main. The waitress was called and very kindly sorted it out. It seems the main was not on the system. The food was excellent.

Staff extremely welcoming and efficient (Chris our photographer was funny and very attentive ) . Food was lovely and very good value, it was hard to choose what to have so we will have to go back again !!

Lovely family evening spent in Cote. Initially thought we were out of the a5mosphere of the restaurant as in a room at the back but we soon created our own. A couple of slips with the food but the Manager rectified them immediately without question. Would definitely return next ime in Edinburgh.

Excellent ladies lunch today. Very well looked after by the staff. We all ate off the lunch special menu & everyone was delighted with the food. my goats cheese starter was delicious. the sea bream to follow was perfectly cooked with interesting accompaniments which married well with the fish. We all had the creme caramel to finish which was absolutely stunning. Very busy, best to book.

Everything about our visit today was first class. Friendly staff, excellent value and exceptional quality.

Excellent service. Quality and presentation of food absolutely perfect. The team were attentive, friendly and nothing was any trouble. They were full of energy and understood the importance of delivering excellent customer service. My only negative comment would be mobile phones should be banned or at the very least put on silent. This is no fault of the staff but reflects the rudeness and ignorance of customers who seem to think it’s acceptable to carry on a pointless conversation that is no interest to customers who are trying to have a conversation with each other.

Good food with great service and a really lovely atmosphere. Most pleasant experience would recommend. Cote brasserie is always consistent in its delivery and never disappoints.
