Good service good food, restaurant was very busy, but no delays food arrived well cooked and hot. Be happy to recommend restaurant and would visit again.

We had excellent service. The food was of a very high quality. Value for money was amazing . We were served our food quickly. If you only had an hour for lunch then this is the place to come. You are served quickly if you want to be or take as long as you like. They do not hassle you to move on.

Amazing atmosphere, fine service, and incredibly nice food for a reasonable price. Wide variety of wines. I will definitely be back. . . . .

I eat in Cote regularly bacause the choice of food; its quality and its cost are excellent. I find that staff and service are also very sound.

Wonderful, a great lunch menu. Lovely friendly staff, & good deals. Central location and consistently good. Great choice of wines. Outdoor seating if the sun is shining.

Food was average I think. The venue was fine and the staff good and attentive. I had hoped for better food and so I was a bit disappointed

We came to Cote for lunch today to celebrate my husband, Bruce's birthday. (mine is later this month on 29th July) It was a most enjoyable, relaxed experience and as always in the past the food was excellent. You really 'tick all the boxes' in every aspect for us. Thank you

I had lunch with a friend at Côte in Edinburgh. We enjoyed our meal from the set menu along with a glass of house wine each. We were advised that we would find it less noisy if we took a table in the front section near the entrance but the conversations from the nearby tables were still rather loud.

Food good, service a bit rushed and lacking atmosphere in back of restaurant but otherwise a decent meal and staff friendly if a bit keen!

Really enjoyed this grown up venue with good food and service- value for money- will certainly be back. Confit of duck a triumph- felt as if I could be in France!

Disappointed that there were no mussels available. Vegetarian dishes (cous cous) was really not very good at all. Pepapers and courgettes were practically raw, aubergine was over-salted, cous cous lacredit flavour and was cold. However I was not charged for my meal. Service was good. Sitting near airports conditioning meant it was rather cold. It blew the candle on our table out!

The food was very good and well presented. The atmosphere was pleasing and comfortable and the service was attentive, prompt and polite. I object, however, to an automatic addition to the bill of 12 1/2% even if the restaurant says in the small print it's removable. It gives no incentive to the staff to maintain a good service and so encourage the customer to tip accordingly.

A pleasant lunch. Welcoming, helpful staff - with curious (faux?) French accents. Wondeful food and I like the monthly changing menu. Reasonable prices and portions. Would recommend.

Great foods always , great service waiter and Manager so very pleasant, great atomisphere, this is the thrird time we , the Ladies who lunch have been there. We will be going back.

Had a lovely lunch here today. We had two courses for 10.95. A good selection of dishes and great value for money. Very handy for Fringe shows in the Assembly Rooms.

It was an excellent meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will certainly go back again and I would have no hesitation in recommending to other people

It was a Sunday evening so perhaps they can be forgiven that three of the main courses were not available. Given the reduced choice what we had was very well presented and tasted wonderful.

Another good dinner for the early evening menu. Great value and very flavourful food. Service good as always. A bit noisy crowd in but that couldn't be helped

Experience was not up to par, service average food reasonable but overpriced. Place was busy but tables to close together. Had to reorder drinks as they were forgotten and waiting staff more interested in chatting to each other than attending to customers always a bad sign when the service charge is automatically put on the bill.... why would the staff overreach??

We had a lovely breakfast ,freshly cooked to order .The service was excellent. Great coffee .The 'formule ' offer is really good value . Will be back .

This is a lovely restaurant with good food and service. We had the set menu which was very good value and we all had a very enjoyable evening

Great food service and wine as always! Visited Glasgow cote several times and will now add Edinburgh to my list of favourite eateries in the city

Good food, excellent service. Prefer to be in front part of restaurant or middle. Back lacks atmosphere. Object to 12.5% optional service charge added. Although it is optional still feel it should only be 10% at most. Prefer to give tip as I feel fit even although I think service here is excellent.

First visit - very welcoming, friendly staff, so attentive. Food delicious and a great choice from an extensive and varied menu. Will definitely be back

Automatic service charge of 12.5% added to the bill for a table of 4 is a little presumptuous, especially when the service does't necessarily warrant anything higher than the standard 10%.

Excellent choices on today's table d'hote menu- well cooked and delicious! Both my friend and I were well pleased with lunch and will return. Maybe a small chunk of brown bread would have completed the fresh asparagus soup? Maybe a couple of new potatoes could have been served with the sea bream? Just a small touch to enhance the dishes. excellent service too, thank you all.

Three generations of the family had a delicious lunch at Cote Edinburgh today - The menu was really interesting as well as the staples hamburger and steak frites for the boys the rest of us had a really good fish stew, haddock cooked in bacon with lentils and veal. All were delicious and beautifully cooked. The service was first class . A good wine list lovely puddings - faultless and good value . We will certainly return -

Family meal out with 6 adults, great atmosphere and service. All meals were very good quality. The waitress even ok my sons phone away and charged it for him.

We had an excellent lunch at the Cote Brasserie Frederick Street Edinburgh today. We both chose the duck breast and this was first class as was the service. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant

Good welcome, nice ambience. Main meals were supplemented by "fries" as both were fairly minimal but tasty. Sweets were worthy of consideration. We will return.

Food wine and service were excellent however we were seated upstairs the fittings of which are somewhat sparse resulting in a very noisy atmosphere. Will return but will insist on table in main floor.

This place serves fantastic food and the service is great all in a very pleasant pseudo French cafe environment. I will definitely be back soon!

Fabulous service, everyone was really friendly. They very kindly gave us complimentary champagne cocktails for our anniversary. Food beautifully presented and delicious. We loved it

Service very good and friendly but I ordered a coffee to have when I finished dessert but it didn't come. It was on the bill so the charge was taken off with apologies from the staff. Also optional service charge was added on without asking us first which I resent. I opted not to pay and left a tip instead. The food was great, choice excellent, we had a lovely table and we really enjoyed our Fathers Day treat.

Have been to this restaurant many times before.... The service was good wit the exception of an overfamiliar host/manager. The food was simply not as good as previous experiences - specifically the main courses... we the chicken and the fish stew. The Muscles were delicious but do not come with any bread! It is one of the few Edinburgh restaurants that add a service charge on!

Had breakfast here today so good as ever in the past have had full English scrambled eggs smoked salmon great value and lovingly made today had the french toast it was very good with a fresh fruit salad with it pot of tea all for just £10 including service charges hard to beat that for this quality very clean restaurant and toilets highly recommended
