Côte Edinburgh

Tables well spaced for social distancing so very pleased with that. Not a huge menu but food was lovely and nicely presented. Staff attentive and friendly.

We all three felt that the food wasn't quite as good as it has been on previous visits. My squid was, at best, cool while the baked crottin was also not very warm. My poulet grille was tough and overcooked and I could taste no thyme in the sauce and it tasted more of cream than creme fraiche as there was no acidity. Equally the mushrooms tasted very ordinary. The pancake was very good. Service was excellent, atmosphere excellent and I felt that it was like a normal service apart from the staff having to wear masks.

Sweet staff. So ready to help and their observance of hygiene gives a great sense of security but doesn’t detract from customer experience. The food is always very tasty

I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant. I love the food and portion sizes. The choices seems to cover everything. My parents treat me ever year for my birthday and this is where we all like to go. Very good thank you again. Ps the service was very good too.

Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. They accommodated my daughter's allergies brilliantly, meaning I could relax and enjoy.

Professional and efficient. felt safe distancing good. menu a bit more limited than normal but everything ordered was lovely.Not my first visit and I'll be back.

On positive side: pleasant table, good service, decent modestly priced wine. Negative: gazpacho was unsophisticated, croutons were inadequately cooked, steak would have benefitted from being hotter. I suspect that the kitchens may be some distance from the dining area.

Cote never fails to disappoint with a good menu choice, food excellent and tasty and presented well, Well worth a visit especially if celebrating

No music so was very quiet, good good but slightly overpriced

As usual felt very welcome and safe tables distance. Food was excellent and staff very good. Very enjoyable lunch.

It was lovely. We were not rushed. Staff were helpful and cheery as usual. We had the Chicken Liver Parfait and Salads both were very tasty.

Fantastic venue a short walk from Princes Street. The food was great and the service was excellent. Looking forward to trying the Cardiff restaraunt when we go back home.

This was the first dinner for my wife and I since lockdown and we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant. The service was second to none and the food was excellent as always. The serving staff went above and beyond tonight and we couldn’t have been more appreciative.

Delicious meal, couldn’t fault it. Felt the portions were a good size and very tasty. Good value for money with the current deal on.

Ordered a medium to well steak seemed still very pink this was pointed out at the time just got a half hearted sorry as though not interested.belly pork with no apple sauce !!!!!!!!!!

As Cote in Glasgow was not open we decided to travel to Edinburgh for lunch as had not been in this branch previously. We both enjoyed the food, however the service was disappointing. We had to wait 20 minutes after being served the wine before we could attract anyones attention to order the food . We had to go to the bar to do this and a further 3 times as could not get any staff to come to the table . We were told we could not remove the optional service charge amount from the bill , and this did not happen ( which is incorrect ) as we like to pay the service charge of our choice .. Service was the main let down today...

Met three friends at Cote on the 15th August for a catch up. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal the fish pie and haddock goujons were delicious, the staff were very attentive and made us very welcome. Thankyou Cote xx

Firstly I was extremely impressed with the welcome we received when we arrived today - a little early, but that was no problem to the front of house staff. The organisation of the social distancing was perfect which is something which may have worried me but I and my lunch partner felt totally at ease. The food and service was of your usual high standard. As an aside the starter I had, Prawn Gratinee, was the ⭐️ of the show. Hopefully I will return soon.

So lovely to be back for lunch with Friends, served by such lovely staff. Glad everything is getting back to normal and the food, wine and service is as delightful as ever. Roll on next visit!
