Have been enjoying the salmon fishcakes from the main menu for weeks. Unfortunately the dish has changed and now contains pickled cucumber - yuk! Much preferred the spinach.
We were greeted well had the pleasure of a window seat downstairs which is a lot quieter than upstairs.we didn't wait long for our meal which was very good, and waiter was very attentive All in all a really good end to our anniversary! Thank you

Very friendly helpful staff gave me a window seat on request as it was my birthday only disappointment they didn't offer me a birthday drink and they had done that for my mum when it was her birthday meal the food was lovely and great service
what a gem of a find!..... the staff were charming, the setting lovely, and the menu tempting. Our meal was lovely, and all in all a very pleasant experience, will certainly come again!
I always enjoy Cote in Exeter. The view of the cathedral is excellent and the staff couldn't be nicer and more polite if they tried. The food is quick, well cooked and worth every penny. Necessary to book.
Quick and efficient service. A charcuterie starter was good and the pan fried fish delicious. The choice of desserts is limited and does not seem to vary. However, an enjoyable meal as always.
Excellent value 3 courses £12.95. Good sized portions. Tasty chicken, bacon and avocado salad. Prompt and friendly service. Good beer, wine and coffee with complimentary filtered water.
Lovely meal, as always. Good service. We had a window seat downstairs which I would recommend. I had tomato salad with lovely dressing and seafood linguine. Delicious.
Very friendly helpful staff, lovely delicious food, good location near Exeter Cathedral, not cheap but worth the money, especially for a special occasion. Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous evening! Birthday celebrations with delicious kir royal for every guest! Excellent service & supurb meals. The Lagarde rouge was delicious & price very reasonable. Highly recommend for any occasion.
The staff are great at this restaurant. I conducted an interview with a client over lunch and they couldn't have been more helpful - they found me a good table, they didn't disturb us while taping was in progress and were extremely professional. The food is good too, made with care! And you get a great view of the Cathedral from the roomy first floor. One of the best value for money restaurants in Exeter. An excellent place for a business lunch.
The early evening 3 course set menu is great value meaning you can have that extra glass (or bottle !) of wine (their muscadet is superb). Have eaten later before from full menu (portions generous) still fair sized with deal. We had different mains, all cooked to perfection. I paid the extra £2.00 for steak frites, meat pink, juicy and tender, may order some extra veg/salad between us next time, Husband delighted with the lemon sorbet and I had just the best creme brulee . Prompt and attentive service as always, all topped off with a view of the magnificent cathedral. The right combo for a perfect evening.
Great food and excellent service good view of the cathedral. Only negative was that the lack of any soft furnishings makes the environment quite noisy.
Always enjoy my lunch in Exeter, the menu is great with good choices and good value. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive, thank you.
Fantastic location overlooking Exeter Cathedral where you can dine al fresco and soak up the medieval atmosphere of the close in dappled sunshine. Food, as always, excellent as was the swift and personable service. A firm favourite of mine when visiting family in the city.

Excellent food and service as always, Cote never fails to please. We can definitely recommend the lamb on the main menu and really rate the fixed price menu too if dining early.
As ever Cote shows the way other restaurant chains should to do it !! Except the service charge..!! The service is always excellent and the food is great... But let ME decide on the tip..!
The food and the location, as always, were great. Service was not up to standard tonight. Stupidly, I fell for the automatic service charge. Grrr.
Very busy breakfast session but as usual service and food excellent - we are never disappointed when visiting Cote Exeter for breakfast or dinner- thankyou

We booked for a birthday celebration and we were rewarded with an excellent meal and excellent service. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we would happily recommend it to friends.
Awesome food, awesome service. The food was exquisite; everything that we had was divine. This was backed up by very knowledgeable staff who recommended the perfect wine accompaniments. All this with down-to-earth, attentive but not obtrusive staff. An all round superb experience1
Charming, efficient waiter and all other staff attentive and friendly. Three course lunch deal excellent value for money. Well paced service. Acceptable house white wine.
I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff are very cheerful, helpful and efficient. Service is quick but never rushed. Ambience is buzzing but chilled. An excellent place to eat . And fantastic location.
As always, excellent service, an amazing window table overlooking the Cathedral Green, superb, flavourful food at a reasonable price and a lovely atmosphere - who could ask for more?
We had an excellent meal and brilliant service. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone who enjoys French cuisine. Always worth checking the seasonal specials.

Cote have a good formulae. Their staff provide consistently good service and the atmosphere with the beautiful view of Exeter cathedral make for a great dining experience.
Food superb .There special menu from 12-00 to 19-00 is very good value and quality.Myfavourite restaurant in Exeter. Service is exceptional and I like the fact that service charge is included in the bill.
Excellent service and good food. Highly recommended . Had Duck breast and my wife had the steak. Could not fault it. The young waitress was really good without being in your face.

Good atmosphere, attentive polite staff, quick service on a busy evening. The wine was lovely, we all had starters as well as mains, some of us had desserts too.
Friendly staff as always. Not all food choices were available and had to wait nearly 45 mins for our table. But still a good night.
Enjoyed our meal Good food cooked well We liked the view people were friendly would go again. Not sure what else I can say to give this feedback!
Food was up to the usual high standard even though the Restaurant was quite busy. Cannot fault the staff as they are always cheerful and friendly.
Usually cote brasserie is a very good restaurant so not a little disappointed to find the service was less attentive than I would normally expect and the main course of haddock wrapped in bacon was served with a sauce which was reduced so much that it tasted too salty and too much of vinegar. I think the quality control of dishes is usually better monitored than this and my experience is thankfully not typical of cote brasserie in other towns.
We always enjoy Cote in Exeter, especially when we get sit sit by the window upstairs! The food was very good. On this occasion the service was rather slow, which was strange, because the place was strangely quiet.
Menu choices were good with interesting vegetarian options, food quality good, the service was efficient and the staff cheerful and helpful. Lovely venue overlooking the Cathedral.
Cote Exeter is in a wonderful setting overlooking the Cathedral. The staff are friendly and efficient and the service well paced. I take visitors regularly and have never been disappointed.
Great visit to Cote, Exeter. Really nice Salmon Hollandaise and summer fruit pavlova specials. Good service, friendly atmosphere, excellent value. Thanks again for an enjoyable evening out.
Was very busy and noisy impossible to converse service too fast had starters and main at the same time then they forgot our wine, not mpressed. Was like being on a conveyor belt. Food was adequate nothing great but nothing to complain about but all told not an enjoyable or relaxing experience.
I had a lovely time as did my mother. Food was fantastic, as was the ambience. The service was tremendous, really made us feel welcome.
Excellent food and service in a pleasant, if somewhat noisy, atmosphere. The garlic prawns and pork belly were especially good. Sensibly priced wine as well.
A delightful meal served well and in lovely surroundings. We were particularly pleased with our window table looking out to the cathedral across the green.
We had a three course meal from the lunch menu on our visit. The food was well prepared, mostly well presented and most importantly was very tasty. All the staff were polite and friendly. I dropped one points off the rating because the steak and chips was just that, and somehow I just assumed there would be some kind of vegetable or garnish with it. As it was, the plate looked very empty and not particularly inviting. The reason for the other point dropped was that our waiter disappeared at some point (maybe the end of her shift?) and no one seem to take over so we had to waylay another waiter for attention.
