The service was very quick but perhaps a bit too fast. I had just put my cutlery down and my plate was removed from the table

This Cote in Exeter is in a great setting. We had May's three course set menu and all the courses were delicious. Efficient friendly service.

Excellent food, staff and the view is so lovely. Will definitely return. Thanks to Lucy and all the pleasant staff for making our evening special.

Over experience enjoyable as always. Seemed more noisy than usual, so not that easy to have a conversation as normal voice levels. Food, wine and service reliably good.

We are regular visitors to Cote and on this visit as before, our meal was excellent. Added to this the very pleasant ambiance, and friendly and efficient staff - a winning combination!

Staff were very welcoming, lovely food with plenty to choose from. We were given plenty of time to choose what we wanted, didn't feel rushed and great service, can't wait to go again.

Very good and family friendly. Excellent food - the cote du boeuf was especially good. The view over the cathedral is lovely if you can get a window seat.

We went here for a quick brunch, it was lovely and reasonably priced. In my opinion their Brioche French toast is the best I've ever had!

Very good service. Friendly staff. Food generally good but could do with more seasoning on the duck course We took advantage of our reward which made the meal even better value than usual.

Ordered 3 starters of calamari but only received one. Was rectified quickly and was very tasty. Main courses were lovely too. Great value for early menu.

All was fine with food drink etc , but I don't like the Americanism of adding the service charge to the bill .If the service is good a tip will be left but not forced upon you

I have been eating at cote for years and never had a bad meal. I am gluten free and there is such a good choice on the menu that I can almost forget I have restrictions!

I have visited Cote Exeter many times. It's design upstairs with many mirrors, no curtains or tablecloths leads to it being one of the noisiest restaurant I have used with the sound reflecting off the hard surfaces . The level of sound is quite deafening making it almost impossible to hear the person sat opposite you on a small table. There is no background music, just guests trying to make each other heard over the rising noise levels. Food is fine,staff excellent, level of noise impossible. It'll be a while till I forget again how unpleasant the noise levels are before I return.

Your booking system needs refining; you asked me for a report 24hrs before we had even been to the restaurant and on arrival our name did not seem to be on the evening's list. This apart, we had an excellent meal and were well looked after by the staff.

The food is good with plenty of choice and the service is very good. The restaurant itself has a very pleasant atmosphere. Didn't give a 6 because I think the steak could be served with some vegetables without you having to pay extra for them.

As always great service and very good gluten free choices. The food was superb, well presented, very tasty and the recommended wine was just right for our food.

Online booking excellent, plush venue (Exeter branch), attentive staff, food was enjoyable, gluten free menus. Would recommend and use again. It's not overly cheap but sometimes I don't mind paying a bit more if I can guarantee the above.

I love going to cote but today that staff were less friendly than normal and I felt we were a bit of a nuisance......I will still go back for the chocolate mousse though!!

Wonderful service, delicious food and a fantastic buzz - we really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the view. I am looking forward to our next visit sometime soon.

Today at Cote in Exeter was a bit of a slow start having booked the table for 9.15am but arriving a 9 ish (Saturday) and ordered an English breakfast and a Vegetatarian we had to wait until about 9.35 before the apologetic waiter explained they had been delays in the kitchen quickly after that we were served with the 2x breakfast's which were to the usual High 'Cote' standard which we enjoyed very much and will of course go back again not only for breakfast but also an evening meal in the upper salon overlooking the Exeter Cathedral Green. PS Lovely staff by the way

Have eaten here before but in the evening. Lunch time service did not feel as friendly and personal. There were crumbs etcetera on the banquette which is a failing in many restaurants not just here.

This was our second visit here in less than 2 weeks so the set menu was the same. The mussels were very good as was the chicken I had but my wife was disappointed with the sea bream. It had different beans from the one I had previously and there were several bones in the fillet. Service was good.

Nice atmosphere in this cosy restaurant, bustling, good efficient service. Interesting choice of options on the menu, the parmentier was good and everyone else enjoyed their meals.

Excellent 3 course set lunch for two. Asparagus x 2, cod Goujons and steak frites, chocolate pot x 2. Very reasonable price and great, attentive service. I would have awarded a '6' except the asparagus portion was a little mean and each spear was split down the middle. Why? Neither of us were very impressed with the new Spring Set Menu. There were several items we would never order, which I suppose pushed us towards the steak frites, and the £2 supplement.

Lovely setting right beside the cathedral, with a nice ambience, very friendly service and above all, the food was absolutely excellent. I would thoroughly recommend.

Perfect location and service. Excellent cooking and wine and the early evening menu is outstanding value. This is by far the best chain of restaurants, that consisently produces high quality food.
