Delicious food and great service. The waiting staff are attentive without being intrusive. The wine is good value and the food is tasty, well cooked and fresh.

Excellent service lovely food very nice atmosphere although a little noisy at times wonderful view of the Cathedral all in all a very enjoyable evening.

the service was very good and the food was very good. My friend had the minute steak which melted in the mouth. I selected from the vegetarian menu and had the mushroom crepes which was lovely.

Cote always meets expectations and today was no different. Also today, we got a great window table overlooking the cathedral so couldn't have been bettered.

Cote never disappoints and is always consistently good. Breakfast is particularly good value except that I wish they did large pots of coffee! Staff friendly and professional.

We found that the meal was not up to the Cote usual high standard. It was not overly busy but for some reason the service was slow.

Attentive staff , good food and atmosphere as usual. Waiter forgot one item but was very apologetic and sorted quickly. good choice of specials is always a plus.

Very happy with the service and food but concerned to learn that some of the gratuities go on staff uniforms and training and not all to them.

Went on a Sunday lunchtime and had two courses. Good food, nice décor, good atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant. They also do a very good set menu.

Great bistro food, good service. Very reliable, efficient and on point chain. Why do I have to write more words, it is just silly and pointless. There must be a better way to make sure that the reviews are real.

The Exeter Cote has an efficient welcoming staff. Food is excellent and staff listen to individual preferences e.g. 'sauces on the side'. The upper floor can be noisy when full but it is difficult to see what can be done about that.

Great food, great prices every time we go. Sadly online booking didn't turn up but thankfully there was space for the 4 of us despite this.

My friend and I were made very welcome. As I am partially disabled, I was offered a comfortable seat at the side. The atmophere was great and service professional. The waitress service was also excellent - very attentive and friendly - and the food served fresh and hot. Can't fault it.

Fantastic food as per usual, lovely atmosphere and great value if you eat from the daytime value menu, 3 courses for £12.95! Kids menu available too.

Great food; I had steak frites which was cooked perfectly and my friend had chicken and walnut salad which was large and looked good. Service could be slightly better coordinated; we had a few waiters and were asked the same q's multiple times.

Have eaten quite a few times at both dinner and lunchtime and have had a good experience each time. Staff always seem to be happy even when busy. Only drawback is the noise level upstairs when busy as there are no soft surfaces to absorb any sound at all - it gets quite loud and it can be difficult to hear other members of the party.

Excellent service, as always, and fantastic food. We were there for a family birthday and she was delighted when her dessert was served with a Happy Birthday message on the plate. Always a great experience at Cote!

Wonderful restaurant, all food heavenly and staff went above and beyond ! For my bday they have complimentary drinks and things, Would recommend to anyone.

Service was good and the waiter was attentive but when we asked for things like condiments or a second glass of wine they did not materialise and we had to ask to or three times. It was a busy Friday night but we were not making difficult requests. Food was of a high value for money so happy to rate as 5 overall.

Excellent. Unlike most restaurants (e.g. Carluccios), we are not blasted with loud junk music. This is one reason why Cote is our regular place to eat.

Was such an amazing experience, and truly wonderful food. My wife and I will definitely come here again! I would love to come and experience their lunch menu sometime as well!

We dine here regularly. We always enjoy the delicious food, seasonal menus, great atmosphere and fantastic service. A perfect choice for couples or friendly gatherings. A table upstairs will provide views of the Cathedral.

We had booked for lunch and glad that we did as the restaurant was full and they were turning customers away. We had good food from an extensive menu. There was nice atmosphere, the waitress was attentive even though busy and all at a reasonable price.

Lovely service, lovely food ,perfect table. Shame about not having a choice as to whether to leave a gratuity or not, that was automatically lobbed onto the bill.

I reserved a table. the day before, arrived on time only to be shown to a small table at the top of the stairs with guests and staff needing to pass either to serve, arrive or depart. I did not sit down but I asked for another table and was shown another small table located on the lower floor right by the mouth of the corridor to the upstairs and services! With again all guests passing a very close quarters and staff too. I refused the table and asked for another table, there were empty tables in normal positions, but they refused for us to have another table. My wife and I were out to celebrate our 50th. Wedding Aniversary and the evening was ruined. We have eaten at the restaurant before and enjoyed the food and service. The two tables offered us were unacceptable, especially as we made reservations ahead of time. We left to try and find another restaurant. Ron Perschky

Solid without being outstanding, Service a little slow, think we were in a no-mans land waiter wise. Food pleasant and a good range of choices

Great food and service as always. We had the lunch special and the Sea Bream was absolutely delicious! We go there quite a lot and will definitely be back soon.

Food was fine , but very noisy ambience, and not relaxing dining. Service charge added, but not pointed out that it was discretionary - sharp practice, not impressed.
