Good service, friendly staff, food was lovely. When I said that the white wine was warm it was replaced immediately. Our server spilt a little wine on me and to apologise (which wasn’t necessary as I wasn’t upset) they brought some port along with the cheese. That’s proper customer service.

Cote always amazes me for its value for money! It doesn’t get better for UK casual dining than Cote! Our waitress was great too, as was the food!

Service was friendly and efficient. Food came out very quickly without being rushed. I had the warm beetroot and mackerel salad as a starter, this was the perfect size and just what I needed. The steak frites was delicious, garlic butter and all, and had no trouble paying the bill, either. Always a pleasure to eat here.

Yet another fantastic meal with outstanding service. This HAS to become a regular lunch time treat as you can't really fault it. One slight bump my starter came out wrong but rectified almost instantly.

The manageress is amazing. Food had a couple of small errors but staff more than made up for it. Waiter was new but friendly and receptive to feedback.

Our first visit and having visited a variety of areas of France over the years was pleasantly surprised to feel myself transported back, even though we were in Gloucestershire ! Food was very flavourful and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Constant battle to get tap water placed on the table. A side was missed from the order. The space was too loud - making our table of 8 difficult to manage for a family reunion. Upstairs kitchen uses the same route to the upstairs toilets as customers, making the route to the loos bizarrely perilous - especially around the corner. I would not visit this restaurant again.

A super Sunday lunch from the April specials. Service excellent, as ever. The French diners nearby may well have been surprised by the quality, as it's increasingly difficult to find this in the increasngly 'fast food France'.

I’m a bit biased because the Cheltenham restaurant is my favourite but I was meeting friends in Gloucester. The food was, as always, tasty and great value. The only down side was the service was not as good as I’m accustomed to at Cote. A bit pushy. A bit lax. However I have my next Cheltenham booking lined up.

Excellent food, great service and good location. Plenty of choice on the menu with prompt service despite it being a busy Saturday night. Highly recommended for an enjoyable night out.

We thought the food was amazing, service was lovely, setting was great, nice team of staff who all seemed to get a long well and were v customer focused - kind, attentive and thoughtful. We will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant is one of the best in Gloucester. This visit we were given 5 star treatment from start to finish. Our request for a booth seat was attended and as it was not available as we arrived we were invited to sit at another table and given a free drink of our choice while we waited. A few minutes we were taken to our chosen seat. The staff were attentive without being overpowering, the food was excellent in appearance and taste. Well done to everybody who made our visit so perfect, we will be back again soon.

I took my parents here for a birthday treat and overall the experience was disappointing. Soup as a starter was really planned and the Lamb had to be sent back as it was undercooked which the manager agreed and organised a replacement dish. In addition the service was really really slow and there didn't seem to be enough staff to cope. It took well over 2 hrs to complete the meal and they still added the significant service charge to the meal which we then had to ask them to take off.

As usual we were well received though earlier than our time booked, given a nice table and also every attention by the staff. For the first time I ordered steak/frites. For me the meal had a very high salt content, but when mentioned the bill was adjusted to compensate. Pleasant surroundings, conveniently situated in Gloucester Quays, our dining experience was up to normal standard and the dessert was as delicious as always.

We had a fabulous meal last night with wonderful flavours. There was an extensive choice on the menu. Staff were very attentive and worked really hard. Would definitely recommend Cotes Brasserie in Gloucester and will be going back again soon.

Superb! (again). My very first visit here was Mothers' Day. We both loved it so much we decided to go back again this weekend. and we were not disappointed. Once again the service was outstanding, the food faultless and the ambiance spot on (made even better this time because we were able to sit outside in the sunshine). Our new favourite restaurant in Gloucester. We will be back. Thank you to all the staff for giving us such an enjoyable lunch.

We booked for breakfast on my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious, and the service excellent! The wonderful staff even generously gave us a glass of fizz and pain au chocolat on the house as well as singing Happy Birthday. This was a really high quality experience. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal made even more special by the staff. It was our wedding anniversary and as a surprise at the end of our meal we were presented with a beautiful plate of desert, with Happy 37th Anniversary written around the edge of the plate with red strawberry couli hearts and white chocolate hearts. Thank you for making it an extra special night. By the way the food was excellent too! Great staff, great food and an all round lovely experience, thank you.
