As we have come to expect, the food was excellent. Sometimes the noise level can be a problem but not this time, there being fewer customers than usual. Service was spot on, including flexibility with the complimentary wine - my wife does't drink chardonnay which was the white on offer.

Fantastic service from our Sicilian waiter. Requested a good table as we were saying goodbye to a relative moving to Russia. The staff were friendly. The steaks, moules frites and sea bass were all delicious. We had starters and desserts too. The coupe noir which is just ice cream and warm chocolate sauce is a delicious way to end the meal.

We came for a mother’s day breakfast and as always it was the perfect touch of class for a standard price. We shall be back soon!

Very nice Italian waiter. Very good food. Just one comment - suggest you do not put pepper on child’s chicken breast. Apart from that everything was excellent.

Service was good, duck was appalling good chef would never of sent from the kitchen. Calamari breadcrumbed? Why not just dusted in seasoned flour

Breakfast, Complete every time, excellent value for money as always. Such a friendly welcome. Breakfast not greasy, poached eggs perfectly runny, and the jams are so tasty - make sure you say yes when they are offered!

The restaurant was very busy, being Mother's Day weekend, & so we had to wait a few minutes for our table , but the manager was very attentive and made sure we had complimentary drinks. Well done Cote - customer service, that's all it takes to make a great experience. I shall definitely be back again.

Quality of food and service were great; however, quite noisy (admittedly it was mother's day) and they were unable to serve mussels as a starter...but could as a main course????

We are regular customers to Cote in Guildford and always find the welcome warm and friendly. The monthly specials as well as the 2 or 3 course options mean that it is never a problem finding something that both my wife and I will enjoy.

We enjoyed an excellent meal, served with friendliness and efficiency. The french onion soup and spinach and mushroom crepes were excellent, although I would have appreciated a greater number of vegetarian options. One small disappointment was the soup not being as hot as it might have been - and my husband's steak frites was served on an almost cold plate. These points may be small, but they mattered to us.

Excellent, as always. Never disappointed with the food and service. We had a choice of tables and sat by the window with a view over the castle grounds. We were not rushed to leave after our coffee, which was a bonus.

The acoustics aren’t great when it’s busy but that seems quite normal these days!!! Good food and good service. I would definitely recommend Cote for lunch.

Staff great. Food salty and produced without care. Chef is a cook who clearly follows a poorly produced mass recipe. I am in the f&b industry. This is clear. A cook who calls himself an accomplished chef and a brigade of assistants. The front of house saved the day.

Excellent pre theatre meal . All the Staff were welcoming and food served was delicious , served in good time and very reasonably priced . I've eaten in various Côtes before now and never had a bad experience . I particularly like the fact that they also offer an earlier serving time than many other restaurants. When visiting towns for the day or weekend and everything shuts at 5 or 5 :30 but you might want to enjoy a pleasant sit down meal before a show starts at 7 then Côte offers a tasty menu at reasonable prices and in very pleasant surroundings .

We always enjoy good food at Cote, and this lunch was no exception. The restaurant was busy, but our reservation brought us a table for two immediately, and we drank our delicious, and complimentary, St Germain G&T's while waiting for mussels and steak. The sixth star has been withheld because our table was in a busy and rather noisy location, but the restaurant was too busy to ask for an alternative.

Efficient friendly service with good atmosphere. Third time we've been here (we are not local and live in north London) and it never lets us down. Thoroughly recommended.

Been back twice for the last week because always love the food there and is good value for money. But find the service has gone right down hill. The staffs on both times were seems to ignore us on purpose and not friendly at all which were very disappointed since we have enjoyed going there since the restaurant opened because of its food and good service. I don’t want to stop going there because the staffs are not so nice anymore. Definitely I was not happy to pay the service charge for some of the attitude.

As always a wonderful experience. Food was fantastic and service first class. We all had a great evening taking advantage of the offers and complimentary offers.

I had reserved a table for 7 people several days before, and then changed the number to 5 on the morning of the day of our visit. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and we were put on a table for four which was quite a squash, which was particularly irritating for me as my seat was in the thoroughfare and so my back was constantly being brushed past by customers and staff, especially as it was en route to the kitchen and toilets. The Manager was extremely apologetic and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne (it was my daughter's birthday) to compensate for the inconvenience. As a result of the way in which the Manager dealt with the situation I just accepted it rather than make a fuss, but it did spoil our evening. I regretted changing the booking as it worked against us in the end. The food, however, was up to standard as always.

We always enjoy Cote, usually for a big family brunch but of course yesterday was Valentine's so we gave it a try. I wouldn't say it was "cosy" but the food was great and the atmosphere happy and upbeat. You can't beat a good meal at Cote in the week.
