Côte Harpenden

Excellent food and good friendly service despite it being very busy. A bit noisy for us but we will be back. Good early bird menu.

Met friends for lunch in the new Côte in Harpenden - excellent meal, good menu. We were celebrating a new baby and enjoyed a bottle of Cava. Only criticism, very noisy!

Another super Cote and now in my home town. Chef forgot cheese on our starters but put right promptly. After our mains we were offered free desserts. THAT'S how you treat customers! Give them the 'wow factor.

Great service and fab food from this chain restaurant. Buzzing with the lunchtime crowd. Small and intimate atmosphere. Will come back soon and try more of the menu

Fab food and service. The low rating is only because the position of our table (as we were only 2), meant we were next to the coffee and water station. A lot of noise from tapping the coffee holder thing making the experience less than agreeable. We didn’t complain and will go back, but will insist we are not sat in the same place.

We had a lovely waitress! Atmosphere was good! Don't like the 12 1/2 % service charge being added to bill ! Doorway into restaurant was very dark ! Food was very good ! Our friends said there meal could of been hotter ( they both had the duck) ! I enjoyed my food and will return!

We went to Côte with my family including a 3 year old. A lovely restaurant, very attentive staff and wonderful food. Will definitely be going back.

So impressed with our 1st visit - food was delicious and great choice for all three courses, the service was excellent and could not have been better with plenty of staff available and all very friendly, and our corner table in a slightly quieter area was perfect! Will definitely be returning numerous times!

The food was good, we ate from the set menu. The service wasn’t great and a smile from the waitress would have been nice. It was very busy and quite noisy and the tables are very close together. However I would return but perhaps pick a less busy time

Very good dinner waiters and managers looked us well and made a fuss of 18 month old too ! Thank you once again for a good meal

We found the service was very good and we did not have to wait long for our food which was excellent and good value for money. The decor was very tasteful and the atmosphere was nice.

Dreadful. Arrived for dinner and told to go away and buy a drink in a bar and get a receipt and they would refund. Then called an hour later to say our table was ready. Had already been a ten as it was 9:15 by then!!

we had an amazing time, the food was great and the staff were attentive and friendly. it was my bday and i was given a bottle of bubbly on house! we are definitely coming back soon.

Cote is maintaining its high standards in the new restaurant in Harpenden. Lovely lunch, good service, nice ambience - and they replaced a spilt glass of Prosecco free of charge.

3 of us went to Côte yesterday to celebrate a birthday . Were made welcome and the service was excellent.The birthday lady was made to feel very special by lovely attentive staff and the food was great .Thankyou for making the occasion so memorable.

Out for a quick dinner at Cote it was great food and service, friendly staff, comfortable setting the resturant is new and the decor gives a good feel.

We had a lovely evening at Cote Brasserie. The dinner we had was excellent with a quick and attentive service. Good atmosphere and stylish brasserie interiors. Great job on the exterior too, an enhancement to Station Road. Would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic food, buzzy atmosphere and fabulous service. Easily best meal we’ve had in Harpenden recently. Restaurant was full on Saturday but still everything was perfect

The set menu is available until 7.00 pm and represents good value with 2 courses for £11.50. Service is attentive and very good. Will be visiting again soon.

Good service and a good choice of food. Not cheap but well worth the price. The fixed price menu is excellent value - we ate off the a la carte - Duck is very tender and cooked just right, steak frites is also good. Restaurant will need to experiment with layout as at the moment the tables are quite tightly packed in, not easy for diners or for service but I am sure this will be sorted as they work through new opening glitches.

A very nice lunch served by friendly and attentive staff Cote Harpenden is a great addition to the many restaurants in Harpenden. Would not hesitate to return again.

Went for lunch - three of us all had separate dishes and all exceptional ! Service, ambience and decor all very good too. Will certainly be going back.

Service was good , although clearly obvious it was trainee staff. Food good, however it was a poor table - too many tables too close together- actually had to move the table next door just to leave our seat to attend to the lavatories . Plus if having wine and water not enough space on the table itself

Good food reasonably priced attentive staff tables not too close together as with some of their London branches. We would definitely return presume lighting is dimmed for the evening.

Excellent food, good wine, attentive service....so why the 4 out of 6 rating? It comes down to the noise levels in the restaurant which mean the staff struggle to hear the orders and it is very hard to have a conversation with anyone other than those next to you. Please put some sound baffles in! A secondary negative is that there is little room between tables and hence I was knocked repeatedly by staff and customers as they went by. Great food, though and a welcome addition to Harpenden .

Great ambiance friendly and attentive staff, food arrived promptly and was well presented and tasty. Would definitely recommend this to everyone and looking forward to another visit soon for breakfast

Excellent and friendly service. Good value breakfast which was served quickly and piping hot. Very good coffee. Busy on a Sunday morning. Lots of families.

Excellent service and food. We were overcharged for our drinks but manager dealt with this efficiently. Hope the high standards are maintained as will be visiting often

Great ambience in the restaurant. However, service was quite slow and it was clear that they could have done with more staff being available given how busy the restaurant was. Food was ok.

Great food and very friendly and helpful staff. We often go to Cote restaurants and like the way they introduce interesting specials each month while keeping our usual favourites on the menu.

French food unfussy, tasty, with excellent wine and our waiter Jamie was fabulous, attentive, friendly and went the extra mile, we had a great family meal, well done to the new team at Cotes a welcome addition to Harpenden.

Very nice. Good service, good food, would definitely go again. Only downside is a few too many tables so feels slightly squashed and very noisy when full. Ask for a booth at the back.

We had an excellent meal with very Good service. It was their first week after opening so we expected a few rough edges, but it was really good.

The welcome from Michael was exceptional. We enjoyed the prompt service and the food was very good. Thankyou Cote for coming to Harpenden. Stephanie explained the difference between Bistro and Brassier and also about your latest opening in Newcastle. Coming originally from the North of England it was interesting to know. A very enjoyable evening for us THANKYOU.
