Côte Haywards Heath

Delicious food and good service. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off and we have to endure 10 minutes of loud ringing but the staff were very apologetic.

we all had a lovely meal thank you, l had the sirloin steak and l guess the only criticism it was a little tough.

Lovely lunch as normal, great quality and nice to see restaurant is still busy and great safety precautions well adhered to.

We'd booked to celebrate our daughter's birthday and were made to feel most welcome. Service was excellent as was the food. The complimentary aperitif to start with was really appreciated too. The candle on her dessert was a lovely final touch. This wasn't our first visit and certainly will not be our last.

As ever, a lovely meal at Cote in Haywards Heath. Whilst we sat indoors, there was plenty of space between tables and we could see that the tables are thoroughly sanitised between sittings. Steak frites is a classic and was very enjoyable. Staff were lovely as usual.

We had the most delicious brunch, even had desserts also, so good ! Service was fantastic & felt very welcome, can’t wait to come back 😃

My mum, sisters and I had a lovely evening celebrating my birthday together. The water was so lovely /joyful /happy; which in these uncertain and stressful times was really appreciated. Also the complementary Kir Royal was fabulous.

Attentive staff. Reliable quality of food. Well organised in pandemic conditions.

So nice to visit again but there were a couple of things that were a bit odd - like being asked to check in then being dismissed when I said I didn’t have the app... (help me find the app maybe?) and a group of folks standing (maskless) drinking, right where everyone had no choice but to pass by them (maybe put them somewhere else if the table isn’t ready?)... so it felt a bit anxious all in all. Food was good, side dishes appear to have shrunk, special dessert was cold which for a crepe isn’t great - they did knock that off the bill tbf. We had a lovely evening and these are small things during interesting times. Hang in there Cote!

Our first lunch since the start of lockdown & as usual great food & excellent service. So glad to know that we have our favourite local restaurant back in action & maintaining the same excellent experience as before March 2020 & the Coronavirus virus rules being strictly observed! Well done & hopefully we will be able keep coming back assuming that the Coronavirus rules do not get stricter in Haywards Heath any day soon? Colin Johnson Danehill

Welcoming, professional service, great food, always great, my favourite restaurant chain.

Ordered my favourite if Pork Belly and as delicious as always. Customer service was also excellent as always, just love the way I haven’t got to call anyone over for more drinks and never have to wait long on my meal.

In an uncertain world it is a relief to be welcomed to a table at Côte. Impeccable standards with every possible step taken to ensure the comfort and, as far as possible, the protection of diners. The service was outstanding as was the breakfast. Thank you.

Was a little surprised at the covid19 precautions which compared to other local restaurants were a little underwhelming. Only just spotted the hand gel and no sign of a temperature being taken, as in other locals.

Good and service was very good, I just don’t like the large service charge that is added automatically on the bill

Really lovely evening, spoilt by the staff team. Well cared for and great recommendations by the staff. Beautiful food from the specials menu. Outstanding.

Our meal was excellent, the steak well cooked medium rare and all piping hot. The ambiance in the restaurant was good and the service from our waitress was faultless.

Great brunch. Good value. Beautifully hand-poached eggs! Staff all efficient and attentive. As usual, I like the provision of cold water and glasses at every table.

An outstanding visit! Treating an old friend on his retirement, so the Chateaubriand from the October menu was a welcome option, and delicious indeed. Excdellent service from Craig.

Staff were fantastic but food was not as good as usual. Ravioli too oily and fish overcooked.

Four of us went for breakfast. The service was first class. The environment was covid friendly and spotlessly clean. The food was delicious. We would all go again. We recommend this Cote.

Staff very welcoming. New person served us. We both felt so sorry for him. He clearly hasn’t had any training. Tried to take our food order straight away. Then when we did order, didn’t understand that starter and main could be ordered. Brought desert menu after our starter, bless him. I had moules. Have had moules at Cote many times. They were dried onto the shells, very little sauce had to request some more. Took ages came in a small milk jug. Was given a bowl of iced water not warm water with them. Worse meal I’ve ever had at Cote
