We had very good service from our waitress and the food as good as usual and somewhat better than recent meals in other branches. The ambiance in Cote on Islington Green is always relaxing, not least because there is no music to interrupt conversation; this is an increasingly rare and unusual treat in London restaurants.

Booked last minute but arrived early. No problems for the staff. We were given our choice of table right away. The food is always great!

Not the best meal I've had at Cote. Onion soup was nice but the duck was tough and chewy and the chocolate fondant was stodgy.

Whenever I visit my local Cotes the staff , service and food is fantastic. I would always recommend this restaurant if visiting Islington. As you will not be disappointed. I recommend the Seabass for a main course and the apple tarte in filo pastry it's simply divine 😃

Delicious from start to finish. We had a 3 course meal and the Chicken with wild mushroom & Creme Fresh was Soo moist and tasty. My friend had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. Côte Islington never disappoints!

You always know what to expect at Cote - basic reliable food. Five of us took lunch - 4 steaks & mussels plus starters. The steaks were cooked just about ok - good quality meat but a little dry. Not poor enough to send back but equally not good enough to really enjoy. The size of the starters are quite small - 4 prawns in the garlic prawns for instance at £8 seemed a bit steep. Total bill including the tip (which is placed on the bill) for 5 was almost £180. Probably the last time I'll use Cote regrettably - lots of other restaurants do equally as good food, if not better, but at a more reasonable price. £2 for a small knob of Roquefort butter is nothing short of scandalous. Basic offering, good service, nice surroundings - just a little too expensive for what is on offer. I'm afraid.

Food was ok, however I asked for vinager & was told it was coming. It never arrived! Not happy. We wanted to get the bill & the staff although were walking up & down managed to avoid eye contact for so long we had to approach them to get the bill. And you have the cheek to put 12.5% service charge on the bill. The food was very good.

We do enjoy eating at Cote and this pre-theatre visit was no exception.Excellent, competitively priced food and terrific service. The only problem was a couple of local yummy mummies seated nearby with their tribe of screaming kids, and we were touched that the manager took our drinks off the bill by way of an apology (we hadn't even said anything)

Another impeccable dinner at Cote. Delicious moules mariniere, sea bream with ratatouille, grilled chicken breast with a spectacular red wine jus, and to finish it all off a wonderfully luscious creme caramel. Excellent attentive service as usual. Thank you and see you again soon!

This was my first visit to the Islington branch of Côte Brasserie and it didn't disappoint. I've previouslytaken advantage of the early bird specials at another branch. On this occasion, at the Islington branch we ate from the a la carte menu and the meals were delicious and reasonably priced. We both had fish which was beautifully cooked. Very attentive staff. Would recommend.

service was pretty dreadful. waited 20 minutes before anyone asked us if we wanted drinks, we even moved to get their attention but still had to wave a waitress down who then only remembered two out of four meals we ordered. Ate our egg benedict then croissant arrived, I ate that by myself whilst the other person watched, had to chase on where the french toast was twice then I had to sit and watch him eat that. Really unacceptable service and spoilt sunday brunch for us. Unlikely to choose restaurant for brunch again because of the service. They did take some food off the bill which I appreciate but it was an infuriating experience. Such as shame as great location and great food, Just need much much better service

All the food was good and the service was fine. There were four of us, each having different dishes. The bill came to about £33 a head for 2/3 courses and wine, which we thought was reasonable.

Attentive service without being intrusive, consistently lovely food, great atmosphere. The tables are well spaced out so even when busy it doesn't feel full and it's not noisy. I brought a friend who'd never been before and she was so impressed she'll bring her family back soon. The standard of service is consistently and reliably high. Excellent value for money. One of my favourite restaurants.

One of the nicest Cotes we use and this Sunday lunchtime no exception. Had the benefit of the latest October specials and can sing its praises the Haddock was exquisite....and made for a lovely wholesome meal on quite an autumnal day. The team here always apply charming service and the general atmosphere is always very convivial even when Arsenal playing up the road. Highly recommend a visit.

This was my first visit to this particular Cote Restaurant. It is a good size (not too large or too small) and we were impressed by the speed of food service and friendly staff. The restaurant was busy, but crowded - ideal.

Had 2 course set meal. Plaice for main course was delicious, as was my daughter's main of spicy sausages with puy lentils. Only negative is that we do not have a sweet tooth, so an option of cheese for dessert would be great.

Very friendly reception and service. Ample choices as always on Cote menus, well prepared and served quickly but not rushed. Sat for long time without any pressure to move. Usual Cote value for money. Most enjoyable lunch.
