Great atmosphere. Slightly let down by fillets that were a tad tough.

Great meal for three, friendly atmosphere, very good service and a bill that was less than expected. We will be back!

As I had to wait for 45 minutes for my friends stuck on a train I ordered my lunch and had the starter. When they arrived and we all had our main courses it looked as if my fish had been sitting around and was badly overcooked. I had warned the waiter that it would be a long wait. I didnt want to complain and spoil our party. However on the plus side as there was no bread ready for 10 minutes he kindly took this off the bill when it did arrive. I love coming to this particular Cote and the staff are all delightful.

Usual excellent service and food, looking forward to the next visit already!

Excellent evening celebrating our Friend’s 60th Birthday. Food and service were both great. Thank you for allowing us to bring a birthday cake, homemade cake is a lovely way to show that you care.

Lovely venue, exceptionally good service and good food. Some tiny disappointments, no flavour in the endive with the Roquefort salad (which needs the bitterness), more dressing needed on the tuna nicoise and the seafood linguini could, for me, have had a little more chilli.

Disappointing evening We usually enjoy our meals at Cote but last night did not live up to expectations. Our starter, crab bisque arrived very quickly so that we had not had time to enjoy our cocktails, worse it was only Luke warm. It was replaced by another serving which was hot but very over peppered. The waitress then apologised and told us that the wine we had ordered, saumur was not chilled, because it had not been put in the fridge. We decided that we would take it and chill it at the table and once we had been give a bucket with sufficient ice and water it did chill. My companion’s main, the haddock special arrived dry and and again over peppered. The waitress brought us another portion which was even worse, leading us to conclude that the problem lay with the fish itself. Our waitress tasted it and agreed that it was not right. Finally the floor of the gents toilets was very wet and there were no towels. I should make clear that the waiting staff were very professional and apologetic and tried their best to put right problems that were not of their making.

The service was very good . I had asked for a particular table and it had been reserved for my wife and myself as requested. I had made the restaurant aware that it was our 43rd wedding anniversary and they were kind enough to provide us with a complimentary Kir Royal each plus complimentary jug of water. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and gave excellent service. The noise level was higher than I would have liked but to a certain extent only to be expected on a friday night. This is no reflection on the staff or the restaurant itself , it was just unfortunate that there was a woman on the next table with a very loud voice. As usual Cote Brasserie in Lewes did not disappoint.

First time eating at Cote. I was very impressed with the first class service and food. We didn't wait long for food even though the restaurant was very busy snd we was never left unattended for long. Would highly recommend. May even book my staff chritmas dinner here.

We loved our meals -duck with cherries -pork with greens only niggle was duck sauce. We were able to use our viva lewes voucher which meant free wine making it all great value for money.

A very pleasant atmosphere. Calm and welcoming. We were a party of seven who all declared that the food and service was excellent. It is now our restaurant of choice when visiting Lewes.

We had a very pleasant dinning experience at Cote in Lewes on Fri 11th Oct. following our marriage ceremony locally. Four of us had late lunch and we all had starters, different Mains & desserts & coffees. Each of us enjoyed all of our food which was very tasty & well presented. The staff were attentive & friendly The manager was also friendly and took our Sparkling Wine off the bill as complementary, which helped make our lunch time an even more memorable experience. We would recommend Cote restaurant in Lewis for good food & great service. Thank you to the staff & chefs.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal in this friendly restaurant. They coped well with a busy toddler and noticed our son was celebrating a birthday without being told, producing a Happy Birthday message with his dessert. A delightful evening. We would all recommend it.
