I came alone and was made to feel that way I'm afraid, I love Cote and have always felt comfortable there but the person who greeted me and my waitress made me feel quite uncomfortable. I have never had to wait so long for a drink and then wanted to leave as soon as possible. I spent a worthy amount and wasn't made to feel like a was appreciated.

Due to the rain we turned up 30 minutes earlier and were pleased we could be seated. We had a lovely long lunch, good food (mussels were delicious) and service. Covid guidelines in place.

I know you have quick turnaround times at the moment but our three courses were served so quick I barely had time to drink my wine. Three courses in an hour is a bit too fast considering we sat down at 7.20

Loved it all. The service, food, atmosphere and menu choice were great! Infact we live in Rugby in Warwickshire and I really wish Cote Brasserie would open one there, it would go down a storm, I even know a vacant building that would be ideal for it, is large and has plenty of character. Please pass my thoughts on. We have used the home delivery service as well and rate that very highly.

I like Côte Lewes. Cosy and the tables are well-spaced and the staff are nice and the food is good.

We arrived early for our booking but were shown to a table straight away. The food was delicious, accompanied by some good wines. The staff were attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed out visit.

Covid appliance was excellent . We were greeted with a warm smile and from there on in the lunch was pure joy. Our waitress couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant. The complimentary aperitif was welcome and the food was good value, well presented and delicious. Would strongly recommend.

My dining partner was a little reluctant after some slow service on a previous visit to this restaurant some time ago but there could be absolutely no complaints this time around. I was keen to go after an excellent experience at your Shrewsbury restaurant in September. Not disappointed!

The service, food, quality and value for money was to a very high standard as usual. And COVID restrictions were well adhered to. The only adverse comment I would make is that there were a couple in the restaurant who were using very abusive language very loudly and I felt that it would have been appropriate for the Manager to have asked them to moderate their language.

Food was great as usual - never had a bad meal in Cote.

We had a very pleasant couple of hours in a comfortable 'booth' apart from other tables. Staff wore masks and we were sufficiently separated from other diners to feel safe from covid. There were a couple of issues, though, and I didn't want to spoil the occasion by mentioning them at the time: the special cocktail of the day wasn't available, and the rhubarb martini I was offered instead was far too sweet and I could not taste any alcohol in it at all. Also the minute steak was quite tough and hard to chew. I've eaten at Cote many times, and used to love the steak frites, but the last few times it hasn't been as tender as it used to be. Finally, although the creme caramel was delicious, the caramel was very dark and had a burnt taste.

Very enjoyable lunch, lovely service, excellent food and a great ambience in the restaurant.
