Côte Lewes

Really lovely evening, I requested perhaps we could have a cosy spot when I booked online as it was our anniversary and upon arriving we were sent to a nice part of the dining area and then to our surprise offered two glasses of complimentary wine, a lovely and unexpected gesture. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent as was the wine we chose. This is our third trip to Cote in Lewes and will be returning.

The food was excellent and the staff fabulous particularly the young scottish lass who served us. However I am very concerned about how close the seating is - Can this be complying with the Coronovirus rules. We eat out each week and this is the first time since 5 July that I have sat so close to strangers. The back of my chair was right against a strangers chair, there were no windows open or air flow. Very worrying.

After a not so good experience last time this time was exceptional. Quality of food top notch, service from Maitane brilliant. In the testing times well done to all the staff.

The overall experience was good however we ordered h'dourves as our starter but our mains came out before we had finished them. So a bit too quick and felt rushed.

A very enjoyable lunch. We all enjoyed the meal very much, the service was very good and it was nice atmosphere in the restaurant, we felt comfortable.

We had a lovely evening enjoying my daughter's birthday. The service was excellent. However, my daughter has coeliac disease and there are no gluten free options for children. We therefore had to order her an adult meal which staff kindly accommodated but it was very expensive and they were unable to charge a child's meal price. For her pudding she had 1 scoop of sorbet which we were charged almost £5 for. In total her meal came to £20.00 whilst her friend who we took with her was able to have the child's menu.

We were celebrating my Mother’s 79th birthday. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The food as always was excellent.

From arrival until departure everything was 1st class. Friendly, efficient and happy staff, and of course as usual, excellent food. What more could we ask?

We eat at Cote when we travel but like the Lewes venue very much as it is close to home for us; we live in neighbouring Eastbourne.

Food was very good, service has a tendency to be quite slow.

We had such a great evening, it was my birthday and got a completely glass of pink bubbly which was so nice. Our waitress was the most happy and friendly waitress I had experienced for a long time, I wish I had taken her name as she was a real credit to your company.

Very enjoyable evening out, lovely staff, great food, clean and classy surrounding with a relaxed ambiance. One of our favourites. We always look forward to visiting. Glad you're back open but even when you weren't we enjoyed Cote at home.

We had a lovely dinner at Cote this evening. The food was delicious, especially the Ribeye steak with peppercorn. The staff were very welcoming. Our waitress, Tibor I believe her was her name, was excellent. She was smiley, friendly and very helpful. She recommended a nice dessert wine to my partner and she now has a new favourite! Nothing but good things to say about our meal and overall experience. We will be returning no doubt!

Lovely restaurant, great staff and fantastic prices for the overall experience.

We love the dining experience. It’s different from the general ‘eat out’ options on the high street and this is what makes it so good. Cote has its own identity as you have yours.

A great place to meet friends not seen since last October, friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food. And felt very safe.

This was our first visit since Cote Lewes reopened. We were very impressed with the distancing and sanitising measures. All staff wore full face visors. The menu was slightly reduced but still had all our favourite choices for brunch. We had a delicious meal and were very happy to be back 😊

First time out for dinner since lockdown - whole experience was perfect.

Excellent food and service as always. Cannot fault our lunch and waitress was so friendly and welcoming. The rhubarb martinis which are the special this month were to die for! Worth going back again ASAP just for those!!

Booking at your website was quick and efficient. First course was served quickly. After all one just has to pour gazpacho out of a bottle from the refrigerator. The second course took so long that I was going to call a policeman to see what was the hold up. For the record it was boeuf bourguignon and lobster. The lobster was so little I thought it was a prawn. And my wife said it was flavoured with oregano. Really?

Super delicious 3 course meal, excellent service, very clean and Covid aware. Overall 10 out of 10.

The usual good food and polite, attentive (not in a bad way) staff.
